New Theatrical Poster For LOOPER Now Online

A new poster for Rian Johnson's upcoming sci-fi/action thriller, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises) and Bruce Willis (RED), has been released as a part of the movie's viral marketing. Check it out after the jump.

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented - but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" - a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) - is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good... until the day the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.

Cool, so they went with the Tron: Legacy route, and CGI'd Bruce Willis face so he...what? That's Joseph Gordon-Levitt!?

It was makeup, not CG - just prosthetics lol.

And to the guy who asked "if his future self killed his past self, wouldn't he cease to exist?" [I don't see your comment anymore, but I'm answering anyway] - the tagline suggests he's ashamed of what he's done and he IS a murderer so... I believe that's his goal. To prevent it from happening.

The movie might be good but Levitt doesnt look like Willis.
He looks like the bastard lovechild of Keanu Reeves and Ed Norton.
A little makeup would be better than making Levitt look like a really odd looking freak face.
Or use CGI so Levitt or Willis could play both versions.
These directors want to solve everything with CGI and it has its limitations.

I like the idea of the film and all, but JGL looks phucking weird. He seems off putting and sort of plastic.

They didn't use CGI to make him look like Willis, it was all make-up.

Although I will say that he looks like Thomas Jane and Bruce Willis' child at 1:44 mark. Still thats impressive for makeup!

I don't understand how anyone can not look forward to this.

An original idea with a very interesting premise and questions.

This and Hobbit are practically the only great things to look forward to this year

I think the reason they made him look different is so that he looks like he would turn into Bruce Willis when he is older. This movie looks awesome btw.

@Dynamo It looks like bad CGI but if its prosthetics, I still think he looks like a Keanu Reeves/Ed Norton love child and I see no resemblance to Willis. Thats not the kind of makeup I was thinking of.

The film looks interesting, but that face is kinda crazy.

yeah...cause temporal misalignment and it causing issues is completely new. Its like Timecop except the rich bad man pays a younger more stupid version of the first cop to kill himself. I don't see the "genius"
