It has been previously speculated that the first trailer for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, the second installment in the trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novel, will be screened in theaters with Man Of Steel this summer. It makes perfect sense, as both are Warner Bros. productions and the Superman reboot is one of the year's most highly anticipated films. Now, Emileeid has confirmed that the trailer will indeed be attached to Man Of Steel. Additionally, it will premiere online June 12th 10 AM PDT. Despite recent classifications stating that the trailer will be just over two minutes in length, Emileeid says that it will be a full 2:30 theatrical trailer. Stay tuned to CBM next week for the premiere of the trailer. The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug is set to hit theaters December 13th, later this year.

Well that's good. I was getting worried we'd have to wait for Pacific Rim to see the first trailer.

third3ye - 6/6/2013, 2:20 PM

Tolkien rocks, Jackson rules, but...The hobbit wasn't as god as any of the LOTR trilogy. Not even close.
SimyJo - 6/6/2013, 2:22 PM
Oh good. Now I know when to pop out and take a leak.
exe - 6/6/2013, 2:37 PM

Facade - 6/6/2013, 3:17 PM
Hadn't planned on seeing MOS. This may just get me in the theater to see it. After all, I did sit through 13 Days to see LOTR trailer.
SuperSam - 6/6/2013, 3:18 PM
As if we needed any more reasons to watch the film.
exe - 6/6/2013, 3:20 PM
A glimpse of Ben Cum's The Necromancer alone is worth the ticket.
SuperSam - 6/6/2013, 3:27 PM
Nicolas Cage in The Hobbit?

PsyGuy - 6/6/2013, 3:28 PM

What you meant to say was:

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is set to hit theaters December 13th, later this year.

June 14th - Day off from work, play the Last of Us, see Superman. June 15th - Birthday - Get very drunk - I cannot wait for next weekend:)
SpideyQuad - 6/6/2013, 4:07 PM
Awesome 2 of my most favorite things… Superman & Hobbits
HipsterAngelusNY - 6/6/2013, 4:18 PM
im sorry but the hobbit was very boring and knowing that they took a small book and stretched it into 3 movies seems like a cash grab, expect 2 more 3hr boring movies with only 20 minutes of action
Super12 - 6/6/2013, 4:53 PM
@spideyquad - ditto my friend! I don't know if I'll be able to handle that much amazingness. I think my inner nerd will literally pop out of my chest, punch a baby in the face, then blast a hole in the roof and fly to outer space.

NeoBaggins - 6/6/2013, 5:59 PM
As if things weren't epic enough. This is *sniff* too much. WB, I forgive you for Green Lantern. *Hug*
SuperSam - 6/6/2013, 6:12 PM

EpitomeofAwesome - 6/6/2013, 7:41 PM
@hellshammer yeah
EpitomeofAwesome - 6/6/2013, 7:42 PM
I personally hated the first Hobbit movie, but WB is shutting up and taking my money for MOS, so, what the hell, I'll sit through it. Hopefully along with a new Thor trailer?
cosmicman - 6/6/2013, 8:45 PM
These guys are less than 50% correct. I'll believe it when I see it on June 13th at 7pm! Woohoo!
TheHitchhikingGhost - 6/7/2013, 9:04 AM
The Hobbit was great. Not quite sure what was boring about a movie that is pretty much brimming with action set-pieces. Stoked for a trailer to Smaug.
