Shia LaBeouf Says Another INDIANA JONES is in the Works

Shia LaBeouf dishes on INDIANA JONES and WALL STREET sequels!
Actor Shia LaBeouf, currently out promoting his latest film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, gave an interview with BBC News where he mentions that we could be seeing the next Indiana Jones film in the near future:

"Steven (Spielberg) just said that he cracked the story on it before I left, and, uh, I think they're gearing that up."

LaBeouf also mentioned his involvement in the sequel to Wall Street:

"Money Never Sleeps, I think is the official title now. Um, and, Oliver Stone is just a different filmmaker than I've experienced. Uh, he's just a bit more rebellious than Steven (Spielberg) and has a different edge than Mike (Bay)."

LaBeouf next appears in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, opening June 24th!

1st of all:
I like the last one (most didn't)...shit i like all of them...

Just dont replace Harrison Ford with Shia...I just don't buy it. He can play bit parts like in the last one.

vonstallin - 6/16/2009, 12:42 PM
hmm..Both sound promising lets hope Spielberg and company can get Indiana back on track after their last effort.
Tiger73 - 6/16/2009, 12:42 PM
I don't get this guy's appeal. I know he is everywhere at the moment, but the only project that I am interested in MAYBE seeing is the Wall Street sequel, and that is unlikely.

I thought the last Indy movie left a lot to be desired, I know that Harrison didn't want to do a fourth movie unless it was a good script...I not sure how Crystal Skull qualified, but whatever. I say leave the Indy movies alone and then reboot in like 10 years.
SCOURGE - 6/16/2009, 12:47 PM
I think i died a little inside
teabag - 6/16/2009, 12:50 PM
Shia sucks as much as Sean Patrick Flanery did. I think the character should die with Ford. Start fresh with a new concept or something.
Shaman - 6/16/2009, 12:51 PM
@SCOURGE> Indy should never be rebooted!

I say as long as there are no aliens in the next one, I'm good. i was expecting something with aliens in it honestly, I mean you have the two best (Living) sci fi directors on the film, it was only a matter of time.
THEHAWK - 6/16/2009, 12:52 PM
Spielberg has a very strict "no remake" policy regarding movies he's directed/written. Basically he's said that he won't allow any movie he's written or directed to be remade while he's alive.
alten2345 - 6/16/2009, 12:58 PM
He should extend that contract to "for eternity".
Shaman - 6/16/2009, 1:04 PM
Oh ffs lose INDY JR an keep to the true INDY!!! ; )

An if FORDS had enough get DENNIS QUAID to play INDY, they look a like!
LEEE777 - 6/16/2009, 1:09 PM
raiders of the lost ark should NEVER be remade. its one of the finest films ever made, its got a bit of everything in it and no dull moments and people still enjoy watching it 30 years after it was made. i agree no remakes/reboots for lucas/spielberg films!!!
cindar - 6/16/2009, 1:10 PM
Actually Spielberg should take his own advice and never ever remake classic films...War of the Worlds anyone?
Tiger73 - 6/16/2009, 1:11 PM
i agree with you on that one Tiger73, hope he learnt his lesson. one of his worst films.
cindar - 6/16/2009, 1:19 PM
Raiders was the only really great one out of all of them. Temple was ok but far too over the top and childish. Crusade was better but still lacking compared to Raiders and Skull did have its moments, but any good was undone by La Bouf swinging through the jungle like Tarzan, puppet Gophers and Indie flying through the air in a "Nuked Fridge";)
Rorschach01 - 6/16/2009, 1:19 PM
Yeah.. i'd take Quaid over leDouche any day.
Shaman - 6/16/2009, 1:23 PM
i think you just hit on a great point Rorshach01, indy flying in the fridge, la bouf swinging through the trees, i think alot of the films coming out the last several years, directors can create whatever they wanted, but in the past it was a bit more constrained to what could be achieved. the problem for me is because they can have whatever they want, they go over the top with it, spoiling the film. if crystal skull was made 30 years ago i rekon it would have been a great film, alot better than what it is now.
cindar - 6/16/2009, 1:32 PM
How about no SHIA an it will be a good movie! ; )

damn that lucky bastard lol! : D
LEEE777 - 6/16/2009, 1:41 PM
Shia Le Barf
teabag - 6/16/2009, 1:47 PM
Shia leBag... hmmmm... IMPOSTER ALERT!!!!
Shaman - 6/16/2009, 1:51 PM
I like all the Indy movies Skull included, but I don't know if I want a second trilogy (I'm pretty sure that's where this is leading) the originals are classics, and making a second trilogy with Indy is going to end up like Star Wars with much disappointment.
Osiris - 6/16/2009, 2:01 PM
I want CGI Nazis...........did anyone else wanna punch that flick knife through his crystel skull?
teabag - 6/16/2009, 2:04 PM
Dennis Quaid as a Indy replacment?

Ummmm....no.
SCOURGE - 6/16/2009, 2:08 PM
Isn't dennis quad just as old?
Betty - 6/16/2009, 2:19 PM
Yes he is Betty...Ford 60 Quaid 55...where's the logic
teabag - 6/16/2009, 2:27 PM
bring on indy 5. is this new or old news? because i have found no new news about it lately.

also i thought they only cast good actors in wallstreet.
grif - 6/16/2009, 2:35 PM
Sweet! That's awesome! I liked the new one as well, and I've always like Shia. I'd be lookin forward to the next Indy! :D. HEY GUYS!! Off Topic, but I'm excited and I thought I'd share this....I GOT MY L!!! Woot!!
SirExcalibur - 6/16/2009, 2:36 PM
5 YEARS LOGIC!!! ; )

An he look 15 years younger!
LEEE777 - 6/16/2009, 2:38 PM

This is all bad news.

It's another ass pounding for Indy and friends. I hope Spielbergo is handing out hemroid doughnuts on set.
BillyBlack - 6/16/2009, 2:46 PM
I liked the crystal skull up until the end, it was just so anticlimactic. I think what I loved most was how it mad all kinds of references to the young Indiana Jones show, I loved that show.
thwhtGuardian - 6/16/2009, 2:50 PM
I liked the last one, cheesiness aside(they all had that anyways and I loved it..) because when you think about the timeline, it was in the 50's...around the time as the whole Roswell stuff. That's what was happening in the world then, so it was neat how they tied that in, having those inter-dimensional aliens. I really liked it cause it grew with the times, it's only logical that it wouldn't be the same as the original Indy movies because time had passed, the world was different. No that isn't an excuse for Tarzan-ing with monkeys lol but I still liked the movie.
SirExcalibur - 6/16/2009, 3:02 PM
why does everyone hate this kid. hes not that bad of an actor. stone can get a good performance out of any one anyway. 15 years ago everyone hated brad pitt and we all know how that turned out
darthstern - 6/16/2009, 3:16 PM
We cant go to Peru... Our friend was Raped there!
TheAnswer - 6/16/2009, 3:22 PM
Love Indy, but I didnt like the Crystal Skull. Thats not to say I wont let them take another shot though.
longbowhunter - 6/16/2009, 3:29 PM
i think its hard for people to respect him cuz hes like half there ages. hes still a kid. when he is older i guarantee people will have nothing but nice things to say about him.
Torque - 6/16/2009, 3:46 PM
i read a while back that shia will not be the lead in this one thank god. i made a article about it. if they do a 6th one maaaaaybe.... they will probably do a father son adventure like last crusade.
grif - 6/16/2009, 3:46 PM
I didn't like the last one mainly because it was filmed mostly in a green room.

the ones before it were filmed mostly on location in far off exotic places. I want to see them do the next one like that.

Indy movies shouldn't have to use any CGI IMO. They need to go back to the basics for number 5.
Macksimus - 6/16/2009, 3:49 PM
Every time I hear Indiana Jones I think of that one episode on South Park.

Squeal like a pig.

SirPrize - 6/16/2009, 3:54 PM
@ Macksimus do you really think that harrison ford's old azz can handle doing that crap on a real location? i dont think so, almost all of the cool shyte in the crystal skull was with stunt doubles or cgi and it showed horribly.

Other that that though it was an entertaining movie, but i say let indy fade away into obscurity, no need to resurrect a great series by running it into the ground.

WulfComicFan - 6/16/2009, 4:03 PM
Lmao @ SirPrize @ : D

WULF @ but that's what HOLLYWOOD does best, or remakes or reboots it!!!
LEEE777 - 6/16/2009, 4:46 PM
@ surprize, you never disappoint lol...Can't stand shia, man he annoys me..Wish he wasn't in transformers, i am looking forward to seeing it but wish LeBarf wasn't in it.
spideysweb - 6/16/2009, 5:13 PM
That should've been Shia laying there taking it, like the little girl he is...
SupermanReturns2 - 6/16/2009, 5:15 PM
I would love to see another Indiana Jones Film before Harrison Ford says [frick] it I cant run anymore bring me my oxygen tank.

And if Shia is gonna be in the next one they should make it that shia gets trapped at school somewhere and is only seen at the beginning and at the end of the film. I mean its sad that Indy's son is such a scrawny little shit with a hamster head and no interest in archeology or linguistics or anything like Indy and please dont bring back Karen Allen she was awesome in Raiders but now she just makes Indy look even older.

My favorite Indy Scene

Hayg On Lady We Go N Fo a Gwide

Hellmont - 6/16/2009, 9:21 PM
I LOVE Indiana Jones. I love these series! I loved Indy 4, I just hope Spielberg doesn't replace Ford With LeBouf. F$%@ THAT!
LuV1138 - 6/16/2009, 9:47 PM
MOLA RAM IS DALSIM FROM STREETFIGHTER
GUNSMITH - 6/16/2009, 9:56 PM
SHIA CAN ACT, BUT HE DOESNT HAVE THE "INDY"...THE INDY IS THAT SEAT OF YOUR PANTS BRAVE ADVENTURE THRILL SEEKER ACTION GUY VIBE...NO...SORRY TO SAY...YOU CAN SEE IT IN AN ACTOR STRAIGHT UP JUST BY SEEING HIM ASCT...HE DONT HAVE IT..HE CAN ACT...BUT HE DONT HAVE IT.RIVER PHEONIX, HE HAD IT, SHIA,...NO.....NO MAN SORRY.
GUNSMITH - 6/16/2009, 10:14 PM
Actually, I think Ford did more than 50% of his own stunts. It's on the special features on the dvd, he says he did a majority of the stunt work it just took him a few more takes sometimes.
thwhtGuardian - 6/16/2009, 10:37 PM
As long as Lucas isn't the writer, no Alien and no Shia then there may still be some hope.
rushx5 - 6/16/2009, 10:43 PM
Good grief! The last Indiana Jones was flippin POINTLESS!! It was terrible and if it wasn't for the fact that Harrison Ford was (technicall) in it, and Lucas hadn't written it, and Spielberg hadn't directed it...it woulda been PANNED! I know the writer, star and director are positive factors, but they did a crap job, and when the STAFF is the ONLY great thing about a movie, it still SUCKS!! My goodness...look at "Rightous Kill" you have DeNiro AND Pacino and it was still $hit! And the reason I said Ford was TECHNICALLY in Indy IV was because he didn't do crap! And how the hell can LeBouf take over when his character is a freaking high school dropout?! How can he KNOW all the stuff Indy's successor should know!!?? Madness! This is damn madness people! I need another Xanex!
TheDurkinKnight - 6/17/2009, 1:29 AM
Lucas can do what he wants, he is the creator.
LiquidSnake - 6/17/2009, 1:58 AM
and for the record they werent aliens the were "inter-dimensional travelers"
well thats what speilberg said dont shoot the messenger
darthstern - 6/17/2009, 2:45 AM
ugh...no more Shia...
JohnnyKrypton - 6/17/2009, 7:26 AM
They'll reboot the Matrix and use Shia as NEO LOL :P
Shaman - 6/17/2009, 8:26 AM
......& meggan fox as Morphius.....Jason Lewis for trinity (hell he looks more like a woman than the original)
teabag - 6/17/2009, 8:35 AM
Good point!
Shaman - 6/17/2009, 8:57 AM
I noticed that many of you don't like Shia. I don't think he's that bad. I just think he needs to broaden his characters a bit. It just seems like he plays the same roll in every movie.

As for him replacing Indiana Jones, I really can't see it.
BmanHall - 6/17/2009, 11:32 AM
Me neither.
Shaman - 6/17/2009, 12:12 PM
first of all i don't get why some people don't like shia lebouf he seems pretty allright to me. second i loved all the indi films except crystal skull granted it was awesom to see indi back in action and it had a shit load of action but aliens really aliens usually i can see indi going to find holy or scraed artifacts that lead to bigger discoveries but come the hell on aliens i hop if they do make another indi no aliens
dogchasingcars - 6/17/2009, 2:02 PM
@ dogchasingcars:

I totally agree! There's tons of things they could have made that story about. Why they decided to go with aliens... I'll never know.
BmanHall - 6/17/2009, 2:40 PM
Why are people so pissed about the aliens? Raiders featured Evil demons that could melt your face, Doom a group of Khali worshipers who could rip out your heart and leave you alive, Crusade a cup that can bring you ever lasting life..so why are aliens a stretch? They were always fantasy movies..i just wish they had of left all the cheesy kiddy shit on the cutting room floor, aliens i can handle!
Rorschach01 - 6/17/2009, 4:10 PM
totally agree Rorschach01, honestly Indiana Jones isn't the most realistic series so why is aliens such a stretch for everybody? I'd love to see another sequel, i mean i grew up on these movies and I think this generations kids should too. Just as long as they keep Harrison in the spotlight and not Shia.
Crazyhorrormovienerd - 6/17/2009, 11:13 PM
A 500 year old knight i can handle but Aliens c'mon i want reality here
teabag - 6/18/2009, 1:49 AM
WHAT I DONT GET IS INDY AND HIS FATHER DRANK FROM THE CUP..WHY DID HIS DAD DIE
GUNSMITH - 6/18/2009, 3:53 AM
Eternal youth only worked if you stayed within the rocky pallace thing
teabag - 6/18/2009, 5:41 AM
yup once you leave it stops working...why do you think the knight never left?
Crazyhorrormovienerd - 6/18/2009, 4:05 PM
