Elektra vs Selene: movie character. No thanks.

Batman vs Nightcrawler: Without prep time, I give this one to Nightcrawler. Even having previous knowledge, if Bats were to launch the first attack Kurt could BAMF before contact is made and a split second later tag Bats from behind, or snatch Bats and teleport him thirty feet into the air and drop him... I don't think Bats has a chance against Nightcralwer without prep time. Also, it's not like all Nightcrawler can do is teleport; he also has superhuman agility, can blend into shadows, can use his tail as a weapon...

Deathstroke vs Spider-Man: Tough call. Deathstroke's a master strategist but with Spidey's pre-cog Spider-sense, he's a hard one to plan against. Plus with Spider-Man's speed and reflexes, even if you get the jump on him he can react fast enough to get himself out of harm's way. Is Deathstroke a strategist on the level of Captain America? If so, he might pull out a win. If not, he doesn't stand a chance. I'll wait to vote on this one until someone can educate me a bit further on Deathstroke as a strategist.

@Loudlon, Deathstroke vs. Spidey was the toughest match for me to pick. The Spidey Sense would seem to give Spidey a clear edge, however I do consider Deathstroke on the level of Cap America. I know even with the Spidey Sense, Spiderman can still be hit, its not as though he always dodges attacks. Deathstroke is probably the ultimate strategic planner in the DCU, so if anyone could come up with a way to win, it would be him.

Deathstroke has beaten far more powerful heroes than Spiderman, but most of those heroes have glaring weaknesses and Spiderman really doesn't. I think Spiderman would definitely win an initial fight, but seeing as how this is a rematch, Deathstroke would take Aunt May or Mary Jane hostage and use that to his advantage to pull out a win.

Elektra vs Selene: Selene. Way too much power for Elektra to handle.

Batman vs Nightcrawler: Nightcrawler. Lon's said it, his power base makes him a real threat to the Dark Knight. I'd actually say it's pretty damn close, but Nightcrawler maybe 65% of the time.

Deathstroke vs Spider-man: Yikes. In response to Lon, I'd say Deathstroke is actually better than Cap. He's intentionally constructed as a superhuman military strategist: that's his main threat potential. He can process more information faster than Cap, Bats, or pretty much any other tactician in comic books.

That said, Spidey's one of the most brilliant men in the Marvel U, and while he usually tends to leap in headfirst, given opportunity for prep time he's been able to come up with elaborate ploys of his own. He's far from Deathstroke's level, but putting it together with his sheer speed and power (and especially the spider sense) and it starts looking pretty close.

Still, all in all, I give it to Slade. It pains me to do it, it really does, but Deathstroke is just too big a threat, and Spidey's been substantially nerfed in power and prowess as the years have gone on...

Pie, Swing, thanks for the info. I'll give Deathstroke the vote. Not that I like it, but hey, gotta be objective.
