CBM Fight Club RULES!!!

-NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST.
-The fights does not need to be DEATHMATCHES, incapacitating the other fighter/s can be considered a win.
-Lopsided match occurs (just like in comics and movies).
-Fights may consist of individuals, duos or teams.
-Eligible fighters are characters who have adaptations in any form of comics AND movies.

The Goal of CBM FightClub is to encourage a healthy discussion between passionate like-minded individuals. It is an avenue for seasoned "geeks" to impart knowledge to "noobs" to the world of comicdom, by best describing characters through their powers and skills set. All comments are highly welcomed using the comment section, though we hold premium those who are able to respect other's opinions.

Versions: Comics vs Movies

-No wrong or right answer here, just preference on who you think is the better character.
-Base it on the character's design, powers and skill sets, character traits and personalities, anything that you can differentiate between the two.
-And because this is CBM FightClub who do you think will win in a fight between the comic version and the movie version.
THOR

Thanks guys! See you in the next installment of CBM Fight Club.

Wow. Vader beats Dr. Fate? Batman beats Whiplash in a no-prep match? Superman beats Thor??? Consider me officially convinced that at least 50% of those who vote in these things don't know the first damn thing about comic book characters.

Anyway...

Whiplash vs Sheena: chick is toast, no ifs, ands or buts.

Superman vs Dr. Strange: Supes' powers are all physical. Strange's are supernatural. Can a brick defeat a ghost? No. One wave of the hand and Strange teleports Kal-El into another dimension, never to be seen again. It's almost unfair how little a chance Superman has against the Sorcerer Supreme. Strange is to magic what Silver Surfer is to the Power Cosmic, what Doc Manhattan is to quantum physics, what Captain America is to hand-to-hand combat. E.g., The Shit.

Clayface vs Thing: Thing, all day, every day. They can have a hundred rematches and Ben Grimm will plant this chump every time.

Marvel takes the clean sweep today, IMO.

Lon why on earth are you not writing these things? You have a superb understanding of these characters. I for one enjoy reading your analysis of these fights because 99% of the time you are spot on. Today is no different. You are a comic book genius!

I agree with @Loud...except I strongly disagree with your opinion of last month's results...no wrong doing at all, those who won, would win...Vader would force-choke and telekinetic slam Fate before he knew he was in a fight...all it takes is one miss from Whiplash and a few batarangs thrown at his whiplash electronic armor and the shit would explode in his face...Lastly, Thor would not be able to use the powers of Moljnir on Supes, Odin wouldn't let it happen...It would just be Thor's strength against everything that Supes has...which in that case he would win easily...I can't remember how many times Thor was frozen by the Enchantress...

I dunno, rotten; as a sorcerer Fate's on the level of Dr. Strange. A jedi knight may be tough but I still think Fate's way out of a Jedi's league. As for Batman vs Whiplash -- that was a no-prep fight. Whiplash (ignore the crappy IM2 version, the comic version's bad-ass!) has taken down Iron Man several times and his heavy-duty battle suit, while non-robotic and mostly a variation of kevlar, can shrug off high-caliber gunfire. Add to that his reach with the coils and the fact that he can electrify them and Bats, with no prep, is more than likely going to lose that fight. Incidentally, I love Bats too but he's given WAY, WAY too much credit. Just because he's taken down Superman with a kryptonite ring doesn't really mean jack, because only Kryptonians have a weakness to it. A guy like Whiplash smirk, say "hey, nice rock" and then proceed to bounce Bats off the pavement. Again, without prep. With prep, sure, Bats could probably take him. But without prep? Nah.
