The much-awaited sequel to Robert Rodriguez's Sin City is finally in the works, and so far, an official poster and release date has been given to us, and while we await a trailer, there will probably be much more from Rodriguez about his latest Comic Book Adaptation. Rodriguez gave some brief words about his latest installment, delving deeper into the world of Sin City. At first, he talked about hiring the right writer to do the job, none other than William Monahan(The Departed) which has reportedly produced two more stories for the sequel that aren't in Frank Millar's beloved book.
“I wanted to hire somebody really great to come in on this,” he says. “People have been waiting for this movie for so long, we can’t miss.”

While asking about the female to take the lead role in Robert's latest film, his only words were:
“She is completely diabolical with no mercy,” he says. “People love that story so much.”

To close his statements about the film, he appearently made a strict promise to the audiences who loved the first film and have been anticipating a sequel.
“I know we can go further,” he says. “The audience wants more and they’ll definitely get what they want.”

So, if the director got it right the first time with Sin City, and promises that he will get it right again, then it is probably safe to say that we will get another great CBM from Mr. Rodriguez, because he obviously knows what he's doing.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is set for release on October 4th, 2013.

Never had any doubt I would get what I wanted out of this movie. I'm excited as hell for this.

Personally I'd like a stipper who actually gets naked. But that's just the pervert in me.

A dame to kill for? I certainly hope so 'cause if I remember right she's naked a few times in the book! Sweeeeet

Its about time. I just wonder who he'll cast as Ava Lord.

“The audience wants more and they’ll definitely get what they want.”

No, giving me what I want would've been better directing, better acting and a clearer direction in the first film.

I'm all for experimentation in film, but his "variety" of interpretations of how to do black & white (that is, stark black and white, grays, spot color, CGI, etc.) were all just terribly distracting.

Oh, and The Departed was over-hyped, predictable shite.

Anyone that didn't like the departed is a full blown spastik.

I still find it strange that another writer is writing Sin City. But then Frank hasn't exactly been prolific lately. Still, it's Sin City. Created as an exclusively Frank Miller franchise that nobody else can touch. He only ever let his ex do a little bit of colour, now and then, when the comics were coming out. It's strange.

STOP WITH MACHETE CRAP ALREADY WHY?!@ WHY!!? RR WHY ARE YOU MAKING CRAP?!!! SPY KIDS SUCKS DICK BY THE WAY.

I think Miller is a raging drunk that has lost his way. Saw him in 2008 at Comic Con, and he was just a mess.

And the panel for The Spirit was just bad. Like being subjected to look at someones vacation pictures, and you just want to get away...
