it's probably the image the kid draws in the trailer because, obviously, batman is needed again. I think it's a nice cover because it's very minimalist, which has come to define the style of the Nolan batman films anyway. Great cover :).
Knightrider - 6/3/2012, 2:11 AM
@batfan Well said
MadTitan - 6/3/2012, 2:12 AM
wtf is that?..the design just became too minimal it equates to being lazy. they could have come up with better cover...

meh!
INSTANTJUSTICE - 6/3/2012, 2:15 AM
So this film's about cocaine?
batfan175 - 6/3/2012, 2:17 AM
@MadTitan: that image is actually in the trailer. At least it's not a photoshopped image full of A-list actors in costumes, which is becoming just as lazy.
MadTitan - 6/3/2012, 2:23 AM
@batfan175

if so then that's all the more reason it's a lazy job after all,..they just screencap that scene and made it a cover, voila,instant classic?! more like crap!

good thing though someone mentioned it's fan made. argument is moot.
AsianVersionOfET - 6/3/2012, 2:27 AM
Frickin' SWEET!
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 2:28 AM
The symbol is obviously a theme from a specific part of the film. They write the shit on the wall for some reason and they gave us shirts at IMAX with the symbol on it too. Guess we won't know for sure what it means until we see the movie. It's great for a soundtrack cover. Lazy is slapping a typical bat logo on it.

MadTitan - 6/3/2012, 2:36 AM
looks like a wonder woman logo, grunge style. lol

meh.
batfan175 - 6/3/2012, 2:52 AM
@MadTitan: there's a difference between minimalist and lazy. That drawing has been on t-shirts and in the trailer. And how does a poster ruin the movie anyway? The marketing campaign is not as good as for TDK, we get it but it's not the same company in charge of merketing either because the company that did the marketing campaign for TDK went to do The Amazing Spiderman instead. I can appreciate the fact that this tries to be a thoughtfull blockbuster as opposed to a CGI fest and it shows in the art direction. I wouldn't even need more than 2 posters fo this film because my judgment on the film comes AFTER I've seen the WHOLE film from BEGINNING to THE END.
MadTitan - 6/3/2012, 3:08 AM
@batfan175 - don't put words into my mouth, i never said anything about what or where your argument is leading. and if poster or promos don't matter to you well to others it does.
MadTitan - 6/3/2012, 3:13 AM
@ELgUaSoN -

that promos show what a real minimalist art should look like not that, white looking mold that "rises" from the wall, brick, rust or whatever that is that is purportedly the cover of the soundtrack.
0ptimusCrime - 6/3/2012, 4:59 AM
....Yeah...i see it as a Cry for help.
I like it
FilmsFan - 6/3/2012, 5:02 AM
Looks cool!!
DIFFERNT for sure!

Could it have any connection with Arazel's logo (if he has any) but then why would they put other characters logo on TDKR cover!!

This film is as intriguing as any film could be!
No one knew where the story is going & everything seems to be heading in the right direction.
I trust Nolan to deliver big time after seeing him deliver 6/6 times!!
FilmsFan - 6/3/2012, 5:04 AM
@itbegins2005 hmm! I think so as well!
It could be the symbol of "BringBackBATMAN" champaign. Or "iBelieveInBATMAN"!!
Haha looks cool!
marknjoanna - 6/3/2012, 5:12 AM
should have had that motley crew song same ol situation on it. with this being the 8th batman movie and all but w/e.
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 5:23 AM
It's different because one is a shot from the trailer and the other is artwork/photography for the cover.
marcel - 6/3/2012, 5:35 AM
Oh look itsbarry oh sorry marknjoanna i mean is pretrolling a batman thread this early in the day.
antonio - 6/3/2012, 5:37 AM
@Marknjoanna I thought it was the 7th Batman movie?
antonio - 6/3/2012, 5:40 AM
As for the cover art, it could be fake, but I like that fact that it symbolizes that Batman must come back. A cry for help.
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 5:49 AM
An actual score instead of generic rock music signifies the high quality of the overall production.

Can't wait to cop that IMAX ticket June 11th.
antonio - 6/3/2012, 5:52 AM
@NeoBaggins will you be doing the marathon?
MovieMann - 6/3/2012, 5:58 AM
I didn't know this was the 8th Batman movie!?!?!

Oh F-ck that, I am not wathcing this!!

Haha marknjoanna is an idiot.
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 6:10 AM
@antonio I'm definitely thinking about it. Seeing Batman Begins in IMAX along with the entire trilogy is pretty tempting.
antonio - 6/3/2012, 6:16 AM
And it'll be great seeing Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker on the big screen again.
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 6:36 AM
Definitely. I just hope that much IMAX doesn't make me dizzy lol The imax at the metreon in SF is so big that I have to sit in the very last row to enjoy it. The screen is friggin huge.
95 - 6/3/2012, 6:37 AM
This is a great cover.

@antonio @NeoBaggins

Brenden Theatre better have a marathon. AMC and Regal theaters is not an option for me. I want to see TDK in IMAX, which I didn't see before.
antonio - 6/3/2012, 6:41 AM
@3D I'm not entirely sure. Regal, AMC, and Cinemark are all confirmed. And I am not entirely sure if the marathon will be in real IMAX or not.
95 - 6/3/2012, 6:57 AM
@antonio

I'm not happy about that. I paid $40 to see the Marvel Marathon. I have to do the same for this. I would go to Regal for the marathon, but do you think they'll at least include TDKR
In IMAX at the end? Because I'm not going to see it my first time in 2.39.1
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 7:23 AM
@3D Is this it?

http://www.brendentheatres.com/pressreleases/20080630_tdk.html
95 - 6/3/2012, 7:31 AM
@NeoBaggins

That's my cinema! But that's for TDK's 2008 release, sadly. But that makes me hopefully they'll make an event out of TDKR. Thanks for looking!
dmadtroll - 6/3/2012, 7:35 AM
EVEN A 5YEAR OLD KID COULD DO THIS. xD not good enough for me,sorry.
zrhprint - 6/3/2012, 7:36 AM
here is another fanmade one i find..

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=344558072283972&set=t.100001893460134&type=3
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 7:39 AM
@3D Oh, didn't even notice that. But it's a good chance they will participate. Why not? TDK Is the first film I ever saw in IMAX. Awesome.
TrueRedBlue - 6/3/2012, 7:48 AM
Please don't be fan-made. It's actually reaally good.
95 - 6/3/2012, 7:48 AM
@NeoBaggins

I wish I saw TDK in IMAX. I had no idea what IMAX was back then, lol.
GraGar - 6/3/2012, 8:41 AM
This probably won't be the only album for the movie anyways.
CaptainObvious - 6/3/2012, 8:48 AM
@NeoBaggins- TDK was the first movie I saw in IMAX too. It's definetly the best moviegoing experience I've ever had. I'm hoping I can see TDKR at midnight there.
breakUbatman - 6/3/2012, 8:50 AM
Guy complains about the 8th Batman film but posts the same crap a 100 times. Ironic that Same Ol Situation would apply to all of marknjoana's posts.
NeoBaggins - 6/3/2012, 8:57 AM
@3D Apparently I didn't either lol It was like falling into the screen during those IMAX shots above the city.

@CaptainObvious Tonight I'm going to ask the new guy to switch shifts with me so I can catch the midnight show. I'm expecting him to say yes.

If this is fanmade, it's a winner. It reeks of official business though. The surface can be anything. Inside of the Batcave or some worn area on Batman himself. Could be leather, stone or steal. Nice nonetheless.
