Shit I don't even like "The Dark Knight" and this makes me hate it more. Why not use the trailers that got the 300million+ into the seats to get people to watch it on HBO.

Well, i know a few ppl that don't like TDK, mainly because it long an they don't like comics! But yeah, it is rare, on here anyway! Man, i loved the TDK, its not as good as WATCHMEN but the TDK is a AWESOME movie! Infact most of what WARNER BROTHERS do now thats comic book is! Damn, i do go on don't i? Heh heh. ; )

Dont get me wrong, i think TDK might be a tad over rated, but its still a brilliant movie, theres no denying that.

Fight Club is class, and like theAnswer, i cant hear that song without thinking of those buildings coming down!

Watchmen better than TDK? Serious?

I thought watchmen was pony, nice to look at but bored me. Only person not to like TDK that I know is my missus....then again she doesnt like any comic book movie so thats standard.

I agree with LEEE, I enjoyed Watchmen more so than Dark Knight, both were great, but Watchmen gave me more what I was looking for. TDK however did seem to drag on, especially the boat scene with the bomb, honestly I didn't care much for that part.

Oh and I hated the Rachel replacement.

I don't know about you guys but Watchmen was wwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to long and really boring in parts plus all the man nudity made it even worse I mean come on who really wants to sit and stare at a freaking blue penis the whole time. That alone almost made me get up and walk out of it and I never walk out of movies just because I just had to pay almost $10 just to see the piece of crap. TDK is a much better movie and plus there's no man nudity in it so that makes it even better. I loved Heath Ledger as the Joker I thought he did an excellent job revising the joker much better than Jack in my opinion. Wish he was still alive to maybe come back and be in a third film. Oh well that's not happening.

Oh bye the way did I mention I think Watchmen can suck on that big blue penis cause that movie sucked hard. All the comic book geeks I know (me being one of them) hated the movie and all have said to me that they wont buy it when it comes out.

I think TDK was a far better movie than Watchmen. However, Watchmen is, by far, the closest adaptation for a "comic to live action" movie I have ever seen. Aside from the ending, which I thought was better in the movie, it was damn near word for word.

If only they stayed that close to the story line in DBE. [Sniffle] That movie could have been so good... <=(

I know people who don't read comics that thought TDK was brilliant and thats because it was. I have not seen Watchmen so I am not going to make a comparison but I skill enjoying watching TDK. I finally got an ipod and I was finally able to retrieve the digital copy and put it on there. I can now enjoy it at work when it is slow.

watchmen was decent..as a fan of moore's book's justice was done cuz it's a lot of source material to stick to but twas a good job nonetheless...but i'm from trinidad in the Caribbean..and as a huge comic book buff (TDK graphic novel is mi bible)...the movie was one of the best i've ever seen...and in my country..there's prob 2% of the nationals who know about comic books..and almost the entire population loved TDK..never heard a bad review til i came across this thread...evn non-comic fans love TDK

I LOVE TDK and WATCHMEN equally! BOTH are excellent, and ground-breaking! IMO :)

I LOVE Watchmen mainly cause of how unconfortable it made people in the theater! LOL I could hear women gasp and giggle, everytime Dr. M's Blue Schlong appeared on screen. The dudes all were like "WTF?" LMAO!

I ESPECIALLY liked how uncomfortable it made the audience when NIGHT OWL was plowing away on SILK SPECTRE! That "Love Scene" went on for like 5-10 minutes! LOL

I heard a woman tell her Dude:"No wonder you wanted to see this so Bad!" LMAO :D

I wish I could quote what I said at the time that made the people in the row behind me burst into laughter, but I know there's a limit to the "potty-talk" on here.

Best Movie-going experience in long time, though! :)

All kidding aside, they were both equally bad-ass. I loved both films. I have a particular fondness for Snyder, though. I hope that man does PLENTY more comic-to-film properties in his career! Watchment was visually one of the most stunning films EVER!

Yeah, it cracks me up how people like Kratos6 hated the movie on the shear fact it was "boring" which that is just an opinion, I was entertained the entire time. If you read the book, you must have been bored out of your mind with all those words.

Also, the fact that a blue CGI penis made you want to leave the theater. Maybe it's because I went to an art school and had to draw naked dudes and chicks for four months that the nude human body doesn't effect me, unless it's a hot ass chick of course. (I'm not stone you know) Honestly, it's a mature movie for a mature audience.

I look forward to any of Snyder's movies, he has yet to disappoint me.

theres no way watchmen beat tdk. watchmen was too focused on making every minute detail of the movie identical to the book, which was cool, but...i dont know what, but somehow the movie wasnt great, just really good. and i LOVED the novel.

This is a classic toon and it fits the trailers nicely. The first time I saw them on HBO I got chills. It does bring memories of Fight Club right to the surface though...

And now to bring the conversation full circle, Kratos, you should freeze frame the end of Fight Club as the Pixies play. Right after the buildings come down. A nice fat richard for ya.

Did anyone hear about Uma Thurman and Sarah Jessica Parker performing Planet of the Apes off broadway? No costumes or make-up... but sooooooo life-like.

I feel the same way about Higher Learning. The movie is a mess, but I love watching Tyra Banks get shot to death. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and just put that scene on before I leave the house. If you don't like coffee, it's a great way to put some steam in your stride ;)

@kratos dude Have you ever read that graphic novel? Pic it up. The reason why he doesnt wear clothes is so profound who CARES IF HE IS NAKED DUDE U HAVE THE SAME THING. After I saw this movie with my girlfriend I took my mom and she thought that it was so profound how a being of that calibur would wear the clothes when he is so powerful he doesnt have to. she basically explained what the graphic novel was intended to portray and i wished it was longer cuz that 3 hrs went by like that. I got a penis so it wasnt a shocker to see somone with a penis on screen nor did I care you see it you get over it if your eyes keep focusing on the penis then dude you might wanna look at yourself and say...hmm why do i keep gravitating there I saw this movie with a bunch of LDS friends they were offended by the language didnt care about the nudity so i guess its different strokes for different folks

I loved both Watchmen and TDK, but I think TDK was better and not at all over rated. I think it's underrated because there are to many people who like to bash it these days. It's like everyone loved it then Bale got angry that one time and now every one talks crap about it and suddenly Bale is a crapy actor.

I'm also apparently the only one who finds Maggie attractive. Maybe not beautiful, but certainly not ugly.

It is nice to see some people admit that it is at least "A bit over rated" granted I would argue much more. I dunno. And it is indeed rare that people don't like the dark knight, my family/friends/co-workers have tried to make me like it countless times and to convert me to a heath joker over jack's and it will probably never happen. But like mentioned above who cares what people on the internet think right? Also Watchmen is shit.

P.S. Brokeback was the best work Heath ever did.

Stupify_me, my thing about TDK isn't because of Bale's acting, I think he's a terrific actor, but the movie just had some drawn out parts that I felt didn't need to be. Regardless, yes it's a good movie, but not my favorite. I'd have to say all in all most entertaining comic book movie is Iron Man.

You still focusing way to much the fact that their was penis on the movie, and not three hours straight that's an extreme over exaggeration to prove such a feeble point to hate a movie. Yeah Strumblin, i'm with you! IRONMAN is IMO, the very best comic book movie of all time. TDK was the best movie of all time LOL :P There's a difference which i won't go into :P

Stumblin I enjoyed Ironman, but it's not in the top three comic films for me. At the end of the day it was some explosions and funny one liners, but no depth or emotion. It was empty and souless. I enjoyed it and I've even seen it more than once, but it lacked any depth at all. Which takes it down a few notches for me. TDK, Watchmen, Sin City, X2 and then Ironman. X2 just barely beats IM for me and it's mostly because at the end the performances were brilliant and you could really feel for the characters. At the end of the day I crave more from my movies than things go boom and people telling jokes. I'm not sure Farvough can deliver.

For me just brainless action/comedy isn't enough. I like thought in my films. I hated Transformers for a lot of reasons, but that was one of them. Iron Man was better than that crap, but still in that same area of brainless action/comedy except it at least was funny transformers failed with it's humor. Not to mention RDJ is a far more talented leading man.
