With the final trailer being released tomorrow, and the international release of the film not that far away, the run-time of the film has surfaced on the web. According to the Falcon website, the official run time for The Amazing Spider man 2 is 142 minutes long. Whether this is legit, that remains to be seen. Are you guys pumped for this movie? Leave your thoughts down below.

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

That is a long ass movie if I do say so myself.
charlie2094 - 3/18/2014, 6:11 AM
Sounds good! Not that long, good length, especially with the multiple characters and stories they're touching on, any shorter could easily leave it feeling rushed and characters underdeveloped...hopefully this is legit!
DaVinci31 - 3/18/2014, 6:11 AM
I hope it really is that long. Judging by the first trailer, they have a lot of ground to cover.
MrReese - 3/18/2014, 6:14 AM
Not bad.Hope it flies by.
OptimusPrimeTime - 3/18/2014, 6:14 AM
That's somewhere between 140 and 145 minutes.
MightyZeus - 3/18/2014, 6:15 AM
I like long films if it has a good story and a good amount of action. Hopefully this runtime is true though.
BatManiac - 3/18/2014, 6:16 AM
Good. I like long movies.
Thevenominside - 3/18/2014, 6:17 AM
i hope A:AOU is at least 2 1/2 hours.
IAmNotGroot - 3/18/2014, 6:22 AM
With all the stuff in this movie, they need that much time. Hopefully they will use that time to the best, and not have this be another Spider-Man 3. Unfortunatly, thats what it looks like. :(
Enphlieuwince - 3/18/2014, 6:23 AM
Good job, McNya.
JJJameson - 3/18/2014, 6:29 AM
Awesome, now can May get here soon enough? And I'm not talking about Parker's aunt.
JoJo1982 - 3/18/2014, 6:31 AM
That's what 2 minutes shorter than Dark Knight rises

Oh no I hope y'all guys aren't going start complaining that the movie is too long now.... Seriously
JoJo1982 - 3/18/2014, 6:34 AM
Amazing Spiderman has a lot going on already

Soo that's a really good runtime for the movie

Thanx for the in Mcnyagano, now I know to prepare myself for the midnight screenings
Chloefornication - 3/18/2014, 6:34 AM
I hope those 142 minutes are filled with great scenes that we haven't seen yet.
ricko8687 - 3/18/2014, 6:36 AM
Really looking forward to this movie
MementoMori - 3/18/2014, 6:40 AM
@mrblackjack & @chloefornication - I agree with both of you 100%.
KrazyForKomix - 3/18/2014, 6:43 AM
. . . and now we know how long it is.
MexicanSuperman - 3/18/2014, 6:47 AM
I wish Marvel Studios would make their movies long or release extended cuts of their films.
MrCBM56 - 3/18/2014, 6:49 AM
Seems about right!
marvel72 - 3/18/2014, 6:51 AM
spider-man 3 was 139 minutes,just saying.
TheRationalNerd - 3/18/2014, 6:51 AM
I'm cool with the length of the film. People were already complaining about the possibilities of the film being way too overcrowded with characters so this (possible) running time offers us the appropriate timing for enough screen time for characters and their characterized elements.
Chloefornication - 3/18/2014, 6:52 AM
@TheMexican

They don't do it because their target audience is little kids. 4-7 years old. They have short attention span. I'm not even saying this to bash Marvel. Kevin Feige said that himself.
Chekkarma - 3/18/2014, 6:53 AM
Nice, movie has a lot to cover with introducing Harry, Max and their transformations.
Chloefornication - 3/18/2014, 6:55 AM
Remember: Alan Taylor got fired because he wanted Thor 2 to be two and a half hours long.
MrSotoMan - 3/18/2014, 7:01 AM
4-7? Yet Iron Man is blowing holes in guys chest?
JoJo1982 - 3/18/2014, 7:02 AM
Alan Taylor
Never got fired..... The guy was doing all the press stuff after the movie was finished

But I believe he wanted a longer movie for sure!!!
TheRealistStarLord - 3/18/2014, 7:02 AM
Comic book movies are meant to be longer than 2 hours IMO. If Bollywood movies can be longer than 3 hour due to their singing and dancing, why can't CBM's follow the same formula as well? I wouldn't mind seeing a long ass action sequences!
JoJo1982 - 3/18/2014, 7:03 AM
4-7??? Lol

Then why make the movies PG-13 then
MrSotoMan - 3/18/2014, 7:03 AM
This runtime does seem right, I mean to me it felt long, as long as Great Gatsby which both are pretty long movies.
mgeoff88 - 3/18/2014, 7:04 AM
2 hours and 22 minutes? Hell Yeah!
MrSotoMan - 3/18/2014, 7:05 AM
I doubt Kevin Fiege said we are making these movies for kids 4-7

Maybe Fiege EXPECTS kids of around that age with parents to take them, like my father took me to see PG-13 movies like Mask of Zorro, Godzilla, Independence Day, Men In Black, yea PG-13 and I saw them around 5 or 6.
lolken - 3/18/2014, 7:13 AM
usually the longer the movie .. the better it is. Titanic, TDK, Gladiator, Braveheart, The English patient, Godfather, etc etc
Colorist - 3/18/2014, 7:15 AM
Two hours and twenty-two minutes? JUUUUUUUUST RIIIIIIGHT!
CaptainAmerica31 - 3/18/2014, 7:24 AM
That's really long. I knew it was going to be 2 hrs +, it's got 3 villains and a shit ton of other stuff. If you watch all the clips that are released it seems like we've only seen like 10 minutes of it
SimyJo - 3/18/2014, 7:47 AM
Perfect run-time for me personally - money's worth, long enough to tell a decent story - yet not a snooze'tastic butt-numb-athon like the LOTR extended versions.
BlanketMan - 3/18/2014, 8:00 AM
I want very badly to be psyched for this movie... but I'm just not.

And wasn't the first rumored run-time for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER off by like 10-15 minutes?
fettastic - 3/18/2014, 8:21 AM
[frick]ing Brits and their backwards-assed dates!

Why in the holy [frick] would you state the day before the month? That makes no [frick]ing sense! It's especially retarded when promoting things that are happening several months into the future.

It's like "Coming.....on....DAY 2!!!!!! of May.

DAFUQ?
SimyJo - 3/18/2014, 8:31 AM
@fettastic

Because it's logical maybe?: day/month/year.
SimyJo - 3/18/2014, 8:35 AM
Thanks for the birthday present Spidey!- The 2nd of May is my Birthday! \o/
TheBaroness89 - 3/18/2014, 8:43 AM
