Hey all,

As you've noticed, I have recently been posting heavy amounts of Batman FanFic, and have come to the conclusion that it's over saturation. There are roughly 5 different Batman FanFic series currently running here on CBM, so I decided to post something different. I am an aspiring actor, and hope to one day be a director. If that does eventually happens, I would like to reboot Star Wars. Yes, that's blasphemous to some of you but in my opinion the franchise is broken beyond repair. Some people like the prequels, but the majority vote is that they were terrible, and that's my opinion as well. I would start with Episode I and work up from there, but the stories would be different. I haven't given this a throughly detailed amount of thought, so apologies if it seems rough to you. Here we go...

Star Wars Episode I: The Prophecy Begins

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, there was a thriving empire known as the Jedi Empire. They relied on a mystical power called the Force and the use of a combination of sword and laser, a lightsaber. But a new threat is rising, and it is in the Empire itself. Whilst searching for new recruits, leading Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi crashes on a distant planet called Earth, where no Force activity has ever been reported. Which is why Obi-Wan is shocked to find a new Jedi, who is extremely strong with the Force. Obi-Wan feels as though he is being rash, but he has reason to believe that the child is the one destined to bring balance to the Force, written so in the Great Prophecy. Together, they have to battle the evil government of Earth who are desperate for him to share the Jedi's technology with them, and he realises that whatever problems the Jedi Empire had, they pale in comparison to the situation on Earth.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: James Mcavoy

A fan favourite for the role, Mcavoy would be great as Kenobi. He just seems like a perfect replica of the character, and he's played similar characters before.

Anakin Skywalker: Asa Butterfield

Yes, Anakin would be a kid in this movie. Asa is an awesome actor, he was great in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and I feel that some of his character's traits in that movie would be represented here. And don't worry, I'm sure he could put on an American accent for the role.

Commander George Rothwell: Liam Neeson

Yeah, he was in the original prequels as Qui-Gon but I thoroughly believe that he should be given a role in a Star Wars reboot. He is a great actor and would do great in this role. He is the villain of the movie; the one specifically hired by the President to track down the Jedi. I was originally going to cast Stephen Lang from his role in Avatar but decided to go with Neeson instead.

Senator Palpatine: Mark Strong

A younger Palpatine? Blasphemy! As we all know, Palpatine was one of the main villains throughout the original Star Wars saga, and will be represented the same here. Strong is a phenomanal villain actor and would do great as Palpatine, even if he gets a little scarred along the way...

Well that is that! Share your thoughts in the comments below, and look out for the other fancasts for my rebooted Star Wars saga in the future! P.S In case you were wondering, Frank Oz will voice Yoda.
