VOTE: Punisher vs. The Batman

Im sorry, I have to disagree myth. While batman is a better hand to hand combat fighter....he would likely end up dead by the end of this one. He can't kill....that can be a problem. So in a fight to the death...batman dies.

This would be one of the better fights in comicdom. But I have to say, Batman has him topped out in the area of speed, agility, martial arts knowledge, strength etc. I mean, He beat Captain America for God's sake. They've both got experience galore, and both are well versed in many forms of hand to hand and small weaponry, but Batman has him licked.

Punisher fights with rage and anger leaving little room for actual planning and manuevering. Which is why Night Thrasher got the best of him until he unloaded a fully automatic weapon into Thrashers suit. If it weren't for that, he would have been done. Batman for SURE would whip Night Thrashers ASS. Bats is faster, hits harder, is more agile, probably has boat loads more stamina, he's smarter, more proficient in martial arts and deception. I think Punisher is too straight forward with his approach to fighting, therefore would leave himself open for the obvious ass whooping that's going to happen. Batman, for sure.

Ion I have to correct you about the Cap thing. If your referring to the Amalgamation Crossover in the 90's, I have all of those issues inclucing the Amalgamated character issues that came after(Sabertooth/Joker Amalgam was one of the best concepts ever and should have remained a character along with several others), and Cap beat Batman almost unchallenged, it was nearly embarassing, much like how Supes beat Hulk. Now if the 2 have had a crossover at any other time, i didn't know about it, but as for the Amalgamation encounter, Cap was very decisively the winner. Trust me on this, That Marvel/DC crossover event was one of the best moments of my adolescent life. Not tryin to step on your toes or anything. But I even drug out a comic box that hasn't been opened in probably about 5 years to make sure I wasn't mistaken. The last scene in the fight is Bats at the bottom of a sewer ladder bleeding from a dozen facial wounds and slumped against a wall.

And to KingWill: The Joker is about as deadly as they come without superpowers, and still even deadlier than some of them, and yet bats has prevailed time and again against him. Bats is in a whole new league compared to Punisher. I am a die-hard Marvel man when the chips are down, but I'm also a realist.

I think this fight is kind of apples and oranges.

In a way, Batman exists in an entirely different fictional world than the Punisher (especially if looking at the Max version). Yes, Batman's able to fight thugs with guns and has been shown to take down bigshot villains with guns. However, this isn't the world the Punisher lives in. He's effective using weapons since he has to. If they fought and if it existed in a real world (as close as it could get merging the 2 characters and their basic history together), I'd see the guns being a real issue for Batman to plan around.

Bats. Has him out matched physically, mentally, and technologically.

Night thrasher vs Batman would be more comparable.
