The graphic novel will feature short stories from some of the most prolific women in the industry.

Womanthology is an anthology graphic novel created entirely by women for Charity. The purpose of the book is to showcase the works of female creators of every age and experience levels.

The Graphic Novel will majorly consist of many short stories interpreting our theme for this volume; "Heroic". We'll also have interviews and how-to's with some of the industry's top female pros, as well as talks with young girls who someday want a career in comics.

We will be published, and will be raising all the printing costs for the project through Kickstarter.com.

The Kickstarter page reads:

It features the work of "over 140 women of all experience levels", including writer and editor Barbara Kesel, Gail Simone (Birds of Prey), (Secret Six), Annie Nocenti (Daredevil), and artists Ming Doyle and Devin Grayson (Nightwing).

"Womanthology is the first of its kind. Never before have women in comics and media come together in such a huge way to create something like this. Never before has there been a publisher willing to give so many people a chance."

The sponsored charity is the Global Giving Foundation. They are a website dedicated to helping small charities from all over the world find funding. Once the book is finished, the profits will go to as many of these charities as possible, focusing on one at a time until their funding goal is met. Here's a brief intro video:
