Trust me, if they go by her complete history and power levels/set, Thor will still win it but it's not going to be the walkover you guys are expecting. Storm is a handful. People have forgotten because she's taken such a backseat the last couple of years but Storm is far from the one trick wonder they (unfortunately) depicted her as in the X-flicks.

I wouldn't count Storm out.We all know this can't be a physical fight, so it's going to come down to a battle of powers.While Thor has a mastery over the weather, so does Storm.

We also know Storm has developed a resistance to lightning and other weather based attacks and is able to actually redirect them back at her opponent.

So, unless Thor nails Storm with Mjolnir, she ain't going down so easy.Hell, I've seen Storm create create a whirlwind that blew the Hulk away.Even if he threw Mjolnir at her, she be able to stop it from hitting her.

Either way, it should be an interesting story.

@tazmaniak Yeah, if anything this is a good opportunity to showcase Storm's abilities. Could make for a great battle.

BUT.... Thor still wins. :)

I would love it if they found a way to make Storm win actually because at least it would be unexpected, but it would have to make sense.

Storm has mastery over the weather. Thor has mastery over Odinforce. Odinforce>Lightning ....by far! Glancing at Storm's current powers, I am not seeing anything that formidable other than being able to manipulate the weather. She's also claustrophobic, so he just needs to throw her in a box. :-P (kidding).

taz@ Considering Thor is the only one who can yield Mjolnir, Storm wouldn't be able to stop Mjolnir like she could whirlwind Hulk away. Mjolnir's makeup isn't like other objects.

Storm's only chance is that Thor would hold back, but that still doesn't equal a win. Not overly impressed that they matched these two up.

Hmmm...No-one seems to remember Loki making her the "Goddess Of Thunder" years back,do they? Had her own hammer and everything.It happened,go look it up.

Now,as far as the battle goes,if Storm gets buried under rubble ,look out. When Dr.Doom encased her in stone waaaay back in X-Men 141-143,her powers warped weather patterns for hundreds of miles. When she broke free,her powers were amped-up to near-Phoenix levels due to her sheer terror at being 'buried alive.'

If she gets the Odinson mad,though,Game Over...

@superotherside- Thor never left. He died but his comic still followed him into death and is chronicling his fight to return to the world of the living before getting eaten by Atemu right now. So when he returns to the living it's not going to just come out of no where.

Thor just needs to hug it out with storm. He'd win for sure.

What ever powers Storm has just isn't enough. Did anyone see in Fear Itself when Thor unleashed his full lightning force on the Hulk and sent him into outer space? I do love Storm really I do but unlike the Ironman vs Magneto match up where you can debate there really is no debate here. They will probably implement some BS to make it a more fair fight.

This is an entirely different story. She manipulates weather. Thor owns the weather. Storm was once considered a goddess in Africa. Thor is the real deal. This is going to end badly.
