i called this,i said there would be about twelve books well what can i say.

so they replace them with two more batman titles "batman incorporated" & probably "worlds finest" will feature batman.couldn't come up with a book for captain marvel, the spectre, powergirl or zatanna.dc are so lame soon it'll be 52 batman books.

Deep breaths guys. Just cause we got 2 more Bat books and some of our books are gone maybe forever.. AHHHHHHHHHHH WHYYYY
MarkJulian
MarkJulian - 1/12/2012, 5:12 AM
There's only 1 new Bat book. World Finest follows Huntress and Power Girl from Earth-2.

I thought they were going to cancel Batman Inc. permanently.

The Earth-2 titles sound interesting, but the others...eh. Don't really care much about them, though.

@ graphiccity

okay my mistake, when read "world finest" i thought superman & batman.

it does seem to me like dc are over using batman like marvel does with wolverine.

YES!!!!! THERE IS A GOD!!!! HAWK AND DOVE!!!! Rob Leifeld!!! needs to crawl back into that hole he was in and sack them french fries up at Big Belly Burger! I hope this is his last chance at comics. or i die before he gets to touch a pencil again!

Omac had potential it just fell short. too bad for that title really.Need to undo the relaunch for OMAC and bring back Buddy Blank.

DC could have kept Static on top when the animated series came out and they started featuring him more into the DCAU. Mr. Terrific is goin to? So who we stuck wit, Cyborg? Black heroes man....miss'em.

Awww, man! I'm super bummed about Mister Terrific. I love that book. The black guy is always the first to go. :(

@MaddMonkk- Agreed. Rob Liefield is the worst.

CrowPirate1 - 1/12/2012, 5:28 AM
I think an alternating Villains story book would have been better... from the Joker to Lex...

[keeps fingers crossed]

@marvel 72-I hate that they do that with wolverine and batman. It may get more people interested but to die hard fans like me it overflows my brain. it's like those progressive commercials. Flo was super hot in a weird perverted freaky kinda way at first now she's just do-able.

I think Black Lightning or whatever the PC term is he's using could hold his own series. He has experience and has proven himself several times in the JLA. He is under appreciated IMO.

CrowPiarte- that's a great idea, they used to stuff like that. need to bring it back

@ maddmonkk

i agree, wolverine use to be my favorite character back in the claremont run of the uncanny x-men.now he'll be lucky to brake my top five same with deadpool both overused.

as for batman there is now twelve batman related titles out of fifty-two books.i'm only planning on reading batman by snyder when the trade becomes availble.

their comics are getting like their films & animated dvds everything must be batman.

I'm glad they cancelled Mister Terrific and Hawk and Dove, but Blackhawks wasn't that bad. Still wanted some Captain Marvel action.
MaddMonkk
MaddMonkk - 1/12/2012, 6:11 AM
I hate to say this because I know I'm going to get pounced on by Nolanites but pushing Batman down my throat like this is turning me against TDKR. It was my most anticipated movie for awhile but now it's lucky to break my top 5. I should probably avoid this site but that ain't gonna happen. John Carter to me has the exact amount of advertising and exposure for me. Avengers is getting to be the same, look how many Avengers related titles there are now. Secret Avengers, New Avengers, Old Avengers, Great Lake Avengers, Dark Avengers, Taste Great Avengers, and so on....

its sad when its like that,"sales are dipping put batman or wolverine in it".

A POWER GIRL AND HUNTRESS SERIES @.@ YES YES!!!!! CANT WAIT FOR POWER BOOBS.....I mean Girl to return!!!! She better have that classic cleavage bearing outfit.

As for the canceled books, they are no surprise. Glad the stuff I'm reading is sticking around

@ comiccritic87

power girl in a series called "world's finest",can't argue with that.

they are pretty fine. :D
comicb00kguy
comicb00kguy - 1/12/2012, 6:38 AM
I'm pleaseed that Hawk and Dove is among the canceled titles. Does this mean we may finally be near the blessed end of seeing innocent trees cruelly slaughtered and butchered to reproduce Liefeld's crude attempts at drawing? I sure hope so- the new guy lacks Liefeld's touch at getting those fries just right.

MaddMonk: One of my biggest complaints with comics today is the cartoonishly exaggerated number of titles major characters are given today. When I started collecting, most major characters and teams only had one title per month, and the others generally had no more than two (unless you count team-up books like Brave and the Bold or Marvel Team-Up). Collecting comics was a fun and affordable hobby. Now it's like a car payment to buy a stack of books.

I knew some titles would get canceled, so I wondered if they would continue to call it The New 52.

I liked Static Shock.

is it just me or is the thought of a worlds finest title without superman and batman but with powergirl and huntress a dumb idea.i mean really

I'm not gonna miss any of the cancelled ones...
But I'm really excited for World's Finest and Batman Inc!

I was going to drop men of war and mr. Terrific anyway (the only 2 on the list I had) even though both had potential and now I don't have a war comi. Also, what's up DC, can't devote good talent to black heroes or what? I also agree that there too many batman-related characters and titles - though batwoman is an unbelievably good comic.
Wildaniel
Wildaniel - 1/12/2012, 7:40 AM
The Huntress is awesome. She has her own 6 issue miniseries going on now. Its Great!!!
carrowsboy
carrowsboy - 1/12/2012, 7:49 AM
The one title they really NEED to cancel is that Blue Beetle one. Jaime Reyes has been nothing but a failure yet DC tries to shove him down our throats at all cost. I don't think they'll ever take the hint.
grifter
grifter - 1/12/2012, 8:22 AM
Static shock was shit to be honest. Put him back in Teen Titans until someone who knows what the [frick] they are doing with the character can be found.
