After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow - a vigilante to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be - flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle - while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel's father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver's own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

Marvel's Hulk & SHIELD tv shows will show DC/CW how it's done.
The greedheads at CW are obviously missing all the money they made on the little kids & adult nerds who wasted 10yrs of their life watching Smallville.

I still think they should have chosen a different actor for Deadshot. They should have had someone who looks a little more rough (queue teabag's dirty comments).
TheBurnSays - 10/5/2012, 7:22 AM
No, not wrist guns!?! I guess that will make some people happy but wait till you see how ridiculous it looks on screen. Not trolling, just saying! Ask yourself this: where would the ammo go on that stupid thing? How precise can you shoot when the gun can't physically get in front of your eyes to aim?
Wrist guns... Jesus!

The actor for Deadshot looks quite creepy...

I don't understand how that eye scope thing is any more "realistic" than his mask.......awful.
lokibane2012 - 10/5/2012, 8:02 AM
Diet-Batman
GUNSMITH - 10/5/2012, 8:13 AM
I LIKE HOW ITS BEING HANDLED, IT'S PROMISING AND NOT "SMALLVILLE " AT ALL. I LIKE THAT ITS DARKER. BUT I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO SEE AN ACTUAL MASK, I MEAN THEY DID ADJUST IT BUT IT'S LIKE HALLOWEEN MAKE UP SMEAR, THAT'S MY ONLY STINK ABOUT IT BUT HEY WHO KNOWS IT MIGHT NOT MATTER IF EVERYTHING FLOWS RIGHT...
marvel72 - 10/5/2012, 8:15 AM
show me deathstroke that is all i give a shit about.

I agree this looks like it could be good- I only hope they show the girls half dressed as it seems like they are going to be showing Amell.. I mean almost every promo has some picture of him without his shirt - how about some hot chix half dressed also? Am I alone in thinking this?

since I can't think of one original or creative thing to say, I'm going to say the word smallville in my comment since clearly any superhero tv show on the CW should be compared to smallville relentlessly. I won't even act like I remember it lasted longer than most shows across any network, I'll just say it sucked and was unwatchable...all 10 seasons. New terminology to describe me can be: "Anti-fanboy, fanboy"

hey its bruce wayne, .... oops, wrong guy.

get a new plot.
jimpinto24 - 10/5/2012, 9:47 AM
I'm pumped for Arrow!
Super12 - 10/5/2012, 10:26 AM
Face it people, it's gonna be a great show. Haters gonna hate all they want. It's not smallville, even though with all its cheesiness was actually a great show.

@TheBurnSays- If you have no respect for the wrist shooters then i'm sorry but you have no respect for Deadshot.

Face it, the two most distinctive elements of Deadshot is his red eye piece and wrist shooters, without those he wouldn't be Deadshot
lokibane2012 - 10/5/2012, 2:46 PM
@Super12

Face what? Everything I've seen so far looks like complete shit.
TheBurnSays - 10/5/2012, 7:32 PM
@LP4 : I get that. That's not the point. All I'm saying is the IDEA of wrist shooters is absurd. I can't talk about Deadshot cause I don't know him that much. You like him? Fine. I love assassins. But wrist shooters, not for me. OK in the comics but not in "real life". And thanks for noticing my post. It's like I'm invisible here!
LP4 - 10/5/2012, 9:07 PM
@TheBurn- Sorry if i seemed attacking, i honestly wasn't man ;)
Pooh - 10/5/2012, 9:10 PM
Canary doesn't look like much of a fighter.

I hope they're not trying to humanize Deadshot, instead of keeping him like the arrogant bastard he is in the comics (with wrist guns).

I hope this doesn't get too touchy feely.
damntree - 10/6/2012, 3:05 AM
What is the point of wrist guns? Not to mention he looks like he's about to blow his hand off in that pic above.
TheSoulEater - 10/6/2012, 3:09 AM
Let's face it, why would we honestly think that in a more realistic Green Arrow adaptation, bright RED spandex and yellow kitchen gloved bad guy would work?
