This is Henry Cavill's life now. Whether this treatment continues depends entirely upon whether Man of Steel is a successful venture by Warner Bros. Studios. But a lot more is riding on this feature film with rumors abound that the success of Zack Snyder's Superman reboot could launch the studio's Justice League franchise and the next wave of DC Comics characters to make the transition to the silver screen. No pressure Mr. Cavill.

I personnely think this will be the best cbm of 2013. I believe iron man 3 will make the most money but this movie will be a better movie. Can't wait to see a trailer and the movie!

Ppl are still skeptical about the movie since what the general audience has seen is just the teaser..
Heres to hoping the trailer will blow us all away
FightAs0ne - 10/29/2012, 10:34 PM
The comic con trailer was already awesome, so I wonder what they'll put out for the next trailer.
M3T4LL0 - 10/29/2012, 10:37 PM
Henry is for sure a class act. He is going to redefine the role of Superman I know it. Cannot wait for next year. This movie comes out just 2 days after my birthday so this is gonna be my late birthday present.
Tony93 - 10/29/2012, 10:42 PM
I bought a supes shirt months ago, Not gonna wear it until the movie :)
95 - 10/29/2012, 10:56 PM
He handled those questions impressively well. I'm not even a big Superman fan, but Man Of Steel may very well be the best comic book movie (a Superman film deserves that title, don't cha think?).
TheHierophant - 10/29/2012, 10:59 PM
This guy handled himself very well. I'm sure it's annoying to be followed around everywhere and pestered with ridiculous questions like, "Do you own Superman underwear?" But his retort was classic! There were a decent topic brought up that I would like to hear his thoughts on, in a calmer and less intrusive manner, "James Bond."
CapistheMan - 10/29/2012, 11:27 PM
Wow, what a class act. Real awesome guy. I would kill to see a Bond movie with him as Bond and directed by Christopher Nolan. Would be pure gold.
DCjohnny - 10/29/2012, 11:45 PM
underwear question .....lol really....
RobLiefeldFan - 10/30/2012, 12:16 AM

NorseGod - 10/30/2012, 12:19 AM
It's nice to see he's a friendly guy. I hope he doesn't get pestered too much to the point where he doesn't enjoy his work. He seems like he will do well in this role and it seems like he enjoyed it.
RobLiefeldFan - 10/30/2012, 12:25 AM
hey guys rob liefeld is taking a break from comics i would love some of us to rally to get him back as a big rob liefeld and comic boo fan i hope you all enjoy his work i know there some caring fans here please send him tweets so he could come back i think he will be missed and also check out his latest hawkman book before he left dc its awesome thanks

Seems like a nice enough guy, but have ZERO idea why anyone would want him for Bond. Eon will never, ever, ever cast Superman as James Bond. Period. It diminishes the Bond brand to cast an actor who has already played an iconic role in another franchise. It is the same reason why I think Fassbender will not play Bond, and Magneto is far, far less iconic than Superman. You could venture into a third world country and the kids would know Superman over Magneto. Secondly, unlike Fassbender, Cavill is not that great or interesting an actor. He's just OK in 'The Tudors' and 'I Capture the Castle', and he's pretty lacking in terms of range and charisma in his other performances (I haven't seen 'Immortals', but he is so stiff in 'Whatever Works' and 'Stardust' that you hope another actor might show up whenever he is on-screen). Thirdly, even if he were a better actor, he's so vanilla that he would be more inappropriate for the role of a professional killer. Cavill would make Pierce Brosnan look like Oliver Reed or Gary Oldman. I know Eon considered him for 'Casino Royale' and Martin Campbell preferred him, initially, over Daniel Craig, but he's inadequate in every way (except looks) for the role. Cavill's fine for the simpler Superman, but James Bond? Give me a break.
Happy11 - 10/30/2012, 1:22 AM
@manofsuper Cavill is British infact batman, superman, Spiderman are all played by brits.
mgeoff88 - 10/30/2012, 2:00 AM
He handled himself well with that paparazzi. He didn't even break a sweat signing autographs and taking pictures with people.

Lol, he came back with an awesome answer when the paparazzi asked if he owned any Superman underwear.

He is a really nice guy, which is going to shine through in his performance as Superman. I can't wait for MOS!!!
jimoakley666 - 10/30/2012, 2:03 AM
Cavill really needs to stay away from the Bond franchise. He'd be another Brosnan fail.
Mego - 10/30/2012, 3:04 AM
The Bond producers had the right guy with Craig but he was 38 in the 1st film. Now hes 44 and would be 47 in the next one.
They dont need to cast a pretty boy type but they should cast someone around 26-30. That way if they work out you get maybe 10 years out of the guy not 2 films then hes too old.
Sean Connery was 30 when cast, 2 years older than Andrew Garfield (28) whos playing a teenager in Amazing Spider-Man.

"But a lot more is riding on this feature film with rumors abound that the success of Zack Snyder's Superman reboot could launch the studio's Justice League franchise and the next wave of DC Comics characters to make the transition to the silver screen."

*sigh*

How many more times must I post this?

At 1:01.

Look, MOS will be amazing. Of this I have no doubt but JL and MOS are separate.

Yes, the quote is from 2011.

No, nothing has changed.
SuperSomething616 - 10/30/2012, 3:41 AM
Henry Cavil = Class act!!! What a guy...i dont think i could have kept my cool in that situation...
ElShumway - 10/30/2012, 3:51 AM
Yes, UltimaRex, it has changed. His answer at SDCC was different. It was very clear. But you keep on ignoring that fact and living in denial. Keep on posting that ancient video, we all know the truth around here anyway!
KelvTwelve - 10/30/2012, 4:23 AM
That's actually a really good interview. Good job on both sides. Cavill and Jonah Hill both.
UltimaRex - 10/30/2012, 4:26 AM
The CC'12 answer was "who knows?"

How is that clear?
MiracleMe - 10/30/2012, 5:49 AM
He seems to be a really nice guy but it's going to take superpowers to not become an a-hole if he's going to be pestered every time he's in public. I know it's part of the game but Superman underwear? "Get away from me you [frick]king dork!"
jingorot - 10/30/2012, 5:54 AM
henry cavill played it very cool here, despite the annoying questions he was being asked, and the cameras being shoved in his face. celebrities usually freak the [frick] out, start shoving contests, or just push straight through them, ignoring, and with an air of arrogant douchebaggery about them. not this guy, at least not yet...
jingorot - 10/30/2012, 5:57 AM
@UltimaRex

yeah, that's concrete evidence. because nobody has ever gone back on their word in hollywood....

besides, that interview's ancient in internet years. and it was long before avengers became the 3rd highest grossing film of all time, prompting warner bros to finally take a shared cbm universe seriously.
imnotwearinghockeypants - 10/30/2012, 6:27 AM
Awful. The downside of stardom. You really have no choice but to play it cool like Cavill does here, but that would be difficult as hell to do all the time. I'd lose it.
KaneVonDoom - 10/30/2012, 7:05 AM
I have a lot of skeptical feelings about this movie but I really hope they make it something special. I wish DC success.
