THE AVENGERS Earns Another $12.2M From Home Video Sales But PROMETHEUS Takes Top Spot

Marvel's The Avengers cash machine is still going strong as sales figures for its third week of release on the home video market roll in but the top spot went to Prometheus which earned $23.4M in its first week on the charts.

The Avengers earned another $6,536,697 on Blu-ray and $5,661,574 on DVD for a combined total of $12,198,271 in its third week of release on home video. It's home box office earnings now total $148,599,300 USD.



Prometheus earned $17,489,111 on Blu-ray and $5,917,413 on DVD for a combined total of $23,406,524 USD, taking the top spot in its debut on the home video market.
