One of the better episodes of Arrow to date. Diggle and Oliver both got the chance to shine as they went against the Blackhawk Squad Protection Group. Plus, a promo for the next episode, Vertigo. How about that shock ending, eh?

Diggle (David Ramsey) and Oliver (Stephen Amell) took center stage this episode as they worked through trust issues to take down Ted Gaynor (Ben Browder) and his Blackhawk Squad Protection Group. In my opinion, the show works best when Diggle and Oliver have ample screen time together and this was certainly one of the better episodes. And since when did Yao Fei (Byron Mann) work for the bad guys? The story just gets deeper and deeper!

TOMMY AND MALCOLM HAVE A HEART-TO-HEART TALK AND OLIVER AND DIGGLE ARE AT ODDS WITH EACH OTHER — The next person on Arrow’s (Stephen Amell) list is Diggle’s (David Ramsey) commanding officer and mentor from Afghanistan, Ted Gaynor (guest star Ben Browder). Oliver suspects Ted is responsible for recent armoured truck robberies, but Diggle defends Ted and takes a job at Ted’s security company to keep an eye on him. Oliver decides to make a move on Ted, which puts him at odds with Diggle. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) suspects that Moira (Susanna Thompson) is having an affair with Malcolm (guest star John Barrowman). Tommy (Colin Donnell) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) have an awkward dinner with Malcolm. Nick Copus directed the episode written by Gabrielle Stanton (#111).

SETH GABEL (“FRINGE”) GUEST STARS WHILE THEA FACES PRISON TIME — Thea (Willa Holland) is in trouble with the police after she gets caught using a drug called “Vertigo.” Oliver (Stephen Amell) thinks the only way to keep her out of jail is to find the dealer, a man who goes by the name of “The Count” (guest star Seth Gabel). Oliver turns to McKenna Hall (guest star Janina Gavankar), an old flame and current Vice cop, for help. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) steps in to defend Thea, and Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) gives Oliver some disturbing news about Moira (Susanna Thompson). David Ramsey, Colin Donnell and Paul Blackthorne also star. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Ben Sokolowski (#112).

This show looks to be a good keeper, but one must ask "What happens once the flash back stories end?"
Can't wait for next weeks episode.

I'm interested what they're going to do with the IT girl. If Oliver keeps going to her he might have to bring her into his circle.

loved the episode. its getting better and better. hope they do start using meta-humans. vertigo holding that gun dosn't look right, he should be [frick]in with olie with his mind not a gun. also cant have black canary(when and if it happends) if she dosn't have her sonic scream. cant wait for the rest of the season to unfold either way.

I hope someone, or all of Ollie's family dies by the end of this season. It's not that I hate the family, I just think a tragedy like that would really progress the show and Ollie into the real-deal GA that fights for everyone, not just that list. Anyway, good episode, good show.

Sonic scream?!? You mean Canary Cry. And for a good portion of the characters history she had no powers. Most super hero movies and tv shows have powers....what's wrong with having a show more grounded. There are plenty of great comics wrote this way.

Fantastic episode. Bring on the next.

Now if GL comics were like this show I'd start reading em... LOL Be prepared after this show get's more popular and Justice League gets popular (hopefully) we'll have a "New" DC Universe yet again. LOL

Just to clarify: Not hopefully about the "new" DC universe. Hopefully that Justice League is good and gets popular.

All though what I read of the New 52 GL, was so boring I nearly fell asleep. So I really wouldn't mind if they rebooted him to make him closer to the show's interpretation. At least make him kill SOME people! Seriously, he has a bow and arrow! How can you use a bow and arrow as a weapon and NOT kill some people!

They are now in a way rebooting the series when Jeff Lemere taking over writing duties. It looks to be darker and he looks to be strained on an island.

They should have made John Diggle, John Stewart. They have so many of the same characteristics, same backstory, and on top of that he looks just like Stewart.

Diggle was badass tonight! "You're forgetting one thing, guys: I'm the one with the grenade launcher."

And the twist at the end... I didn't see that coming at all.
