WRECK-IT RALPH Director Talks Sequel Plot

Wreck-It Ralph was one of the best animated feature films of 2012 and it's performing fairly well at the international box office meaning a sequel is all but guaranteed. So what's next for Ralph and Fix It Felix, Jr.?

Talking to Hypable about the blu-ray/DVD release of Wreck-It Ralph, director Rich More revealed a few ideas that are currently being kicked around for the sequel when he was asked about there being other versions of Ralph (i.e. Ralph from another video game cabinet).

“That is so funny that you ask that because I was just talking to John C. Reilly [the voice of Ralph] and we were talking about exactly that. Are there other Ralphs? What would happen if another Fix It Felix, Jr. game was plugged in? Are there other Ralphs that are more contemporary? Is there another version of the game that was made for mobile? Are there those kind of Super Smash Brothers types games where all the characters are gathered in a fighting game? What would that be like for Ralph to come face to face with those different iterations of himself? And it’s created some really cool conversations, so I think that that is so funny you bring up because it’s something we’re playing around with right now.”

An excellent idea and interesting evolution for a movie that already has an interesting premise. Is this something you'd like to see explored in the Wreck-It Ralph sequel? Sound off in the comments below.

WIR was one of the biggest surprise for me this year. Never thought it will be so good. Bring on the sequel. And MARIO.

Mario was almost in the first film and they've all but confirmed that he'll be in the sequel.

Having other Ralphs would utterly destroy the premise they worked so hard to create on the first film. I can't believe they are seriously considering something so stupid. Of course, that's why this guy is a director and not a writer.

This definitely has potential for a sequel.. I love the idea of Ralph being in a Super Smash Bros type game. That would be great.

I'd like to see Simon Belmont, Sephiroth, and Solid Snake. Maybe some Crash Bandicoot, Sly Cooper, eapecially Fat Princess. Fat Princess could get a lot of screen time in my opinion.

-Solid Snake
-Megaman
-Master Chief
-Ktatos
-Sonic and Mario sharing a scene

Loved Wreck it Ralph. Best animated feature of the year. Screw Brave, it didn't deserve that Oscar.

Loved the movie. Im pissed it didn't win an Oscar. Even though I didn't see Brave. I hope if they make a 2nd one it will be just as good.

This film did surprisingly well and I loved it considering it was just Disney, no involvement from Pixar as far as I'm concerned, and one of the last go ahead's they tried was Bolt...and we all know how disappointing that was

Loved this and can't wait for them to expand on it

They should make Mario one of the main characters. Sonic, too. Imagine... Ralph, Mario, and Sonic fighting evil villains like Bowser, Eggman, Dr. Wily, zombies, etc.
That would be awesome.
