Marc Webb Reveals Gwen Stacy Still Works At Oscorp In THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

Despite some harrowing confrontations with The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) that were partly resultant from Oscorp actions, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) will remain an employee of the scientific research company in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

One might say that Oscorp was indirectly responsible for the death of Captain George Stacy (Denis Leary) in The Amazing Spider-Man. Dr. Ratha (Dr. Rajit Ratha) putting pressure on Curt Connors, played a role in him transforming into The Lizard who killed Capt. Stacy in one of the film's final moments. However, the extent of Oscorp's role in The Lizard's transformation and Stacy's death must still be a mystery to the general populace and Gwen as she is apparently still an employee at least according to the latest tweet from director Marc Webb. She might even have moved up the corporate ladder as Webb says she now has her own cubicle, something an intern probably wouldn't have.

Nice. I feel that Gwen doesn't really realize how dangerous OsCorp is, while Peter is on the verge at finding out. "There's something fishy about this place..."

i was an intern at a creative design company and i got my own cubicle and desk, so whats to say shes not an intern? especially a company like oscorp could give their few interns a desk. but whatever she probably did get promoted

I could totes live with that. Oscorp is an element of the story that provides Gwen a way to "do her own thing". It's better if she's her own person and not just a better way to serve Peter.

she'll definitely die in the 3rd one. They'll set up the whole MJ/Gwen dynamic, Harry and Norman introduced, probably have something leading to the Green Goblin story in the third one. THAT movie will be the big payoff and all kinds of awesome, and sadness. Tears will be shed.

She's pretty much useless in the role of an oscorp employee seeing as how anybody can walk in and get by the non existent security at anytime like peter did.

Being a insane fan of Spider-Man, i loved Emma Stone's Gwen in TASM. This will unfortunately also not allow me to enjoy her in TASM 2 because I'm going to keep waiting for inevitable "bye bye" moment......
