COMICS: Dark Horse Brings Back THE SHAOLIN COWBOY
Originally published by Burlyman Entertainment until issue #7 was released in 2007. Now Dark Horse Comics brings back the Wachowski Brothers comic The Shaolin Cowboy after 6 years. The original artist Geof Darrow is back and is taking over the writing duties as well.
After a 6 year hiatus Geof Darrow is back drawing The Shaolin Cowboy. And he has taken over for the Wachowski Brothers on the writing end of things. He sat down with Dave Scheidt of the Huffington Post and from the sound and look of things he is back in the Shaolin zone and very comfortable to be there.
When asked about if the time between his last work on The Shaolin Cowboy and his current work on it had any effect on him he simple answered "No."
Here's the cover for issue #1
The Shaolin Cowboy has always had a philosophical influence to it and that is not lost on Geof Darrow. He is himself a philosophical thinker and a person who believes in taking positive action in the world.
When asked what he wanted to say outside of comics he responded "Go to Protect.Org and help make the world a better place. ..... be proactive and help make the world a better place for everyone."
He doesn't come off as preachy as he quickly makes fun of himself in the interview. You see from his actions that having a positive influence on the world through kind acts is a way of life for Geof. Personally I respect him a great deal for this and wish him the best of success with The Shaolin Cowboy. And I look forward to reading it.
