New Low-Res Poster For THE AVENGERS

After waiting and waiting for a new poster of Marvel's The Avengers the wait is finally over. Check out this, low res, poster for Joss Whedon's superhero team up movie featuring the entire team assembled.

The people over at Stark Industries have posted (in low res) the newest poster for Marvel's The Avengers. The poster features the entire team with Robert Downey Jr front and center as Iron Man. The only down side to the poster is that is doesn't feature The Hulk, but rather Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. The person that the poster were given to him before even being finalized so this may not be exactly what the final product will be. Check the poster out below.



Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures Marvel’s The Avengers--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.



The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård , Samuel L. Jackson and will be released on May 4, 2012.

Uhhhhhh, why is Iron Man in front???? I'd rather have Fury in front instead of wise-ass Tony Stark.

I always hate movie posters where the characters are just standing there or posing. I would prefer it if they made them more interactive or more action oriented.

BlazinTexan: I know; and basically, that's always how I see this movie, too! As a big fan of Captain America, my only hope is to see him like he leads of the team in such poster...it slightly annoys me how it always turns out this way instead.

Stark is in the front because the marketing people realize that Cap's suit looks like its made for TV.

Im pretty sure cap leading the team, what about the other banner it had cap in front no complains there but when this new poster comes up and has tony leading the team, here comes the hate

Caps suit looks awesome but depending on the picture his helmet is either cool or meh. Not surprised tonys in the front for marketing purposes, but anything avengers I'll take right now lol

Tony's in front because both IRON MAN movies each did more than 300 million DOMESTIC, whilst the rest of the team couldn't crack 200. Cap should be in front, but the suits think otherwise.

I don't care who's out front..don't care if Widow was front and centre with her boobs out, it'd still be a shoddily put together, miserably designed, generic as [frick] concept. I pray for some imagination with these posters, I know they don't reflect the quality of the movie, just wish the actual filmmakers had more of a say on how they were marketed.

Without Iron Man, there wouldn't be any Avengers movie. Simple as that.

Tony is in front because he is the most recognizable and most marketable star in the movie. Also add to the fact that Ironman 1 is the best movie Marvel has put out...

This is marketing 101 people, get a grip. We already know Cap Vs. Tony is going to be a part of story. I'm sure Tony will lead for a while, the team will fail with him as leader, then Cap will take over and they will win...

I just can't wait to see how it will all go down.

Cool poster, too bad it isn't in higher quality, it would be my desktop. BTW Cap should be leading, and forget Banner and Fury in there we should have the Hulk! :)

It's simple they put RDJ in front because his films were most popular and he's most recognizable.. Don't need to be Hank Pym to figure that out.. Cap should be front and center and Hulk should be in it but I get it.. It's just a poster for theaters..

Well it's about time Avengers is not equal to "Captain America & friends" just like ye olde Avengers comics.

Movie-verse Avengers means "Cap, IM, Thor, Hulk and friends"

Marvel did this purely as marketing who has had more movies that had grossed more money....Iron Man that is why he is up front. Cap had good success with his movie but Iron Man has been out there longer in the MCU so they are just using that for general audiences.
