From the looks of it, it's based off of Nolan's batsuit.
ThreeBigTacos - 7/12/2012, 10:46 AM
^I don't see the resemblance.
superotherside - 7/12/2012, 10:46 AM
Hope this new Bat series is good. The teaser was cool IMO.
MidNightWind - 7/12/2012, 10:54 AM
@ThreeBigTacos not directly, but with the batsuit being fully black and a golden belt I assume it's somewhat based of the suit from Nolan's film.
8thPassenger - 7/12/2012, 11:00 AM
Batmans suit has always had a yellow/golden belt.

But yes its clearly, at least partly, based on begins suit.
GreenHalJordan - 7/12/2012, 11:01 AM
I'm skeptical about the 3D animation for this (personally I would like to see the Young Justice Animation for the new batman show) but im hopin itll be good!
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 7/12/2012, 11:01 AM
It does look like Nolan's version of the Batsuit.I don't like that they are bringing in different villains instead of his classic rogues gallery.I bet DC will have him face Joker and the others eventually.Man I remember the days getting back home from school to watch Batman:TAS.

Oversexualised in comics, a very early teen mum in that pic... Seriously, what gives?
plasticman - 7/12/2012, 11:11 AM
All I want is a little more of that handsome plasticized figure on the far right. Please, a main cartoon featuring that hunk.
ACira - 7/12/2012, 11:12 AM
That looks so shit.
TheIronPrice - 7/12/2012, 11:15 AM
Costume debate aside, DC's con posters really suck lately. I still have the old ones up from 5yrs ago. You can do better guys.
Ha1frican - 7/12/2012, 11:16 AM
@ACira agreed
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/12/2012, 11:56 AM
He looks pretty badass there not gonna lie. Still don't like the idea of this series.
Stumblin - 7/12/2012, 12:05 PM
Saying this is based off of Nolan's Batman is silly.

Batman has donned the all black off black suit with a gold belt in both comics and animated shows.

The logo is more reminiscent of the New Adventures of Batman (TV series) 1977 logo design and Batman Gotham Nights 2003 comic series.

The logo looks nothing like Nolan's version.
CrashTest - 7/12/2012, 12:12 PM
Only thing good about the pic is Young Justice. Green Lantern was ok, younger generation for sure, but my son would much rather watch Young Justice. Cant wait for the next damn ep!
TheAbomination - 7/12/2012, 12:18 PM
That poster looks disastrous.
PaulRom - 7/12/2012, 12:21 PM
Yeah his does look a lot like Batman Begins'. Looks decent.
tazmaniak - 7/12/2012, 12:23 PM
Am I the only one that thinks Teen Titans Go is a waste of a show. I'm not of fan of the 2000s series or the new shorts, but that's beside the point. WB/DC has dozens of potential series they could make based on numerous characters and they're going to devote 2 entire series to a similar concept that shares some of the same characters? We already have a show about young superheroes in Young Justice and now we're getting another show about young heroes, but with a comedic twist. And both shows star Dick Grayson and feature Beast Boy as a lead. Why?

They're only going to produce so many animated shows at a time and we currently have 4 with Young Justice, Green Lantern, Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go. YJ is only in it's second season, GL is halfway through it's first and the other 2 haven't even debuted. So I don't see any of them ending any time soon. At least not for another year or so. Why did we need this new Titans show?

Where's the new Superman show? He hasn't had a solo series since 2000. They could pick any character, but they went with a show they canceled 6 years ago. A show that pretty much divided fans due to it's sometimes, or often, silly nature and decided to revive it and make it even more silly? What's that about?
ChaosLord - 7/12/2012, 12:38 PM
Laaaaame. Go back the BTAS style.
Thegoddamnbatman52 - 7/12/2012, 12:39 PM
I like the batman begins look of the suit however I'm still apprehensive with all of the creative liberties they've taken such as him having a SWORD WEILDING sidekick and Alfred being a GUN toting secret agent, batmans #1 rule is not to kill but who knows they could be going for an approach more similar to the original comics when batman wasn't apprehensive about taking a life
Thegoddamnbatman52 - 7/12/2012, 12:43 PM
@tazmaniak teen titans go is a comedy even more so than the original and young justice takes itself completely serious so it's nice having the variety because they're both entertaining for different reasons, but I agree I would like to see a new superman show and maybe base it off the action comics series running now
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/12/2012, 12:47 PM
@ChaosLord
Imagine a volume 5 of Batman the Animated Series with the same team from the previous seasons!
IgnurRant - 7/12/2012, 12:55 PM
The CGI Green Lantern & CGI Batman should be set in the Young Justice universe, especially since it has its own calender! DC should be re-bilding the former DC universe nit destroying it.
StarSpangledBruce - 7/12/2012, 1:02 PM
@IgnurRant I could see Green Lantern The Animated Series and Beware the Batman being set in a new CGI DCAU, but I highly, HIGHLY doubt they're in the same universe as Young Justice.

Greg Weisman said he wanted his own animated DC universe (Earth-16) when making Young Justice. I don't think he'd be very pleased if DC came out and said that "Super Best Friends Forever takes place after Young Justice Invasion" or "The Hal Jordan in GL:TAS is the same Hal Jordan in Young Justice".
Tomontherun99 - 7/12/2012, 1:02 PM
Looks a lot better than the leaked concept art and if the animation is at least just as good the Green Lantern series than I'll be a happy fanboy. I must disagree @MARVELPSYCHO79, as much as I love Batman classic rouges I do feel that they do get a bit tiresome and it will be nice to see some new blood like recently introduced villains like Pyg. Even The Animated Series created new villains and utilized obscure ones.
Turtlestrong - 7/12/2012, 1:27 PM
They need to bring Teen Titans back full-time. And then they should convert their CGI toons back into 2D formats.

I liked the Teen Titans show, for people like myself it was this show that sort of brought me full circle back into comics. I watched Batman/Superman animated series, X-Men series, stopped watching for awhile then it was Teen Titans that reminded me how good those could be, then I started watching similar shows and actually reading comics again.

Anyway, the best thing CARTOON network could do is chop some of their live action stuff.
RSDhillon - 7/12/2012, 1:58 PM
If you guys don't mind my asking: Who's the girl with the orange hair and purple clothes in the middle?
kemuael - 7/12/2012, 2:18 PM
another batman series...oui! XD
BearDown1087 - 7/12/2012, 2:40 PM
Why do they feel the need to reinvent Batman, stick to the source material. If you do that people will watch. There is a reason this character
IgnurRant - 7/12/2012, 2:40 PM
StarSpwngledBruce

Did not know that, thanks for the tidbit. i only wish that Greg Weisman was head of DC animation then so he could have built another DC universe with interconnected shows.

Its look like GL & Beware thr Bat will be set in the same universe, which is cool except for the fact i hate CGI animation. (exception Pixar) It just comes off blocky and undetailed IMO
BearDown1087 - 7/12/2012, 2:41 PM
Why do they feel the need to reinvent Batman? Stick to the source material. This show looks awful.
Netman0007 - 7/12/2012, 2:54 PM
Beware The Batman looks terrible. And where the hell is Superman in that lineup - a GOOD looking Superman? And THE FLASH for that matter? Plastic Man looks awesome though, looking forward to that.
Fredperri - 7/12/2012, 2:55 PM
kevin conroy back?
Saintsinnister - 7/12/2012, 3:17 PM
everything on here looks like crap!! kid friendly crap, the show will suck and be canceled and when they reboot batman another one will come on. this cycle will continue until the end of time. no batman cartoon can compare to batman the animated series.
travispipes - 7/12/2012, 3:24 PM
The fact that Beware the Batman is going to have a gun-toting Alfred makes everything crap. Get rid of the gun-toting Alfred and I will acknowledge the redeemable qualities.
StarSpangledBruce - 7/12/2012, 3:25 PM
@RSDhillon Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld.

Geektality - 7/12/2012, 4:16 PM
Beware the Batman's suit looks so bad! How did they screw Batman up so much? He looks so silly? How can we beware someone who looks like a Halloween blow-up lawn ornament?
Nightmare7 - 7/12/2012, 4:27 PM
cgi batman and GL Suck period..
JMESS - 7/12/2012, 4:39 PM

THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/12/2012, 6:46 PM
@Nightmare7
Green Lantern is actually a very entertaining series.
AraxisHT - 7/12/2012, 8:33 PM

brokeBatman - 7/12/2012, 11:57 PM
I'll give this a fighting chance,) C'mon Batman gives us the goods!!!
Sheldon131 - 7/13/2012, 1:30 AM
I hate those chibi Teen Titans!
plasticman - 7/13/2012, 6:33 AM
I think I'm going to drive all the way to San Diego, walk right up to the DC booth, take a long look at this poster, and tear it right down the side and leave Young Justice and Plastic Man up on display. The rest has me yearning for 90's DC animated brilliance.
MrJohnStewart - 7/13/2012, 7:48 AM
If they were smart (but they are not), they would use the same animation from Young Justice for both Green Lantern and the new Batman. Then they could use Young Justice story lines for a foundation for Batman, Green Lantern or any other character and have the universes intertwined. To me that's VERY low hanging fruit.
