The interwebs have been a buzz for a long time about Marvel, and what their next movie projects will be. Doctor Strange and Black Panther have long been rumored to get film treatments from Marvel with Stan Lee even saying that he can't wait to see them. Now, in a recent interview Lee says that you can for sure expect to see Doctor Strange on the big screen and that Black Panther is currently being developed. "Oh they are all being made into movies! I can tell you there will definitely be a Dr. Strange movie! They are working on Antman, which requires really small cameras! Black Panther is being developed, one of my favorites…the Inhumans…All the hero’s will eventually be made into movies," Said Lee. Like stated above this is not the first time Lee has talked about Strange and Panther movies. Although, last time he did talk about the movies he only said they were being considered.

Lee also talked a little bit about his Executive Producing responsibilities, by saying he really doesn't do anything. "I have very little control. I don’t see the script, occasionally I will have lunch with the director or a star, like the guy making Antman,I don’t remember his name- I don’t remember names, or Robert Downey Jr., for Ironman and we talk about the characters," he explained. Lee also said that doing his cameos is really the only time he has something to do with the movies. Getting excited to go to the premieres and see the film it's self was also something he touched on.

For the rest of the interview where he talks about writing his comic scripts, being called "One-Take Lee", and comics in general head on over to District. For the latest on all Marvel movies, including Doctor Strange and Black Panther, make sure to check back here at CBM.

Doctor Strange is the one character that I wanted to get a movie and I am just so excited right now. I hope David Yates directs and Johnny Depp is Doctor Strange.

kamberlin22 - 11/2/2012, 11:23 AM
Ah hell ya!!! This news made my day. I am so excited for all the movies (especially Dr. Strange and Black Panther). I wonder when The Illuminati will be developed?
IgnurRant - 11/2/2012, 11:25 AM
I think Black Panther would be better served in a self contained trilogy. He has a really strong source material and character arc and i think it would be best for him to not get tangled up in the MCU.

As for Dr Strange, The animated Dr Strange was a great and powerful origin story. They could remake that shot-for-shot and it would be ace.
tracydavis001 - 11/2/2012, 11:26 AM
Finally!!!
JDUKE25 - 11/2/2012, 11:27 AM

RobLiefeldFan - 11/2/2012, 11:30 AM
@IgnurRant i really dont get your post on black panther so you dont want him to be in any of the MCU Avengers Movies :/
ATrueHero1987 - 11/2/2012, 11:32 AM
These movies will hopefully come out in 2016.

@IgnurRant Panther can work both in his own trilogy AND be in MCU.
ricko8687 - 11/2/2012, 11:32 AM

GOTG - 11/2/2012, 11:33 AM
crazy old man saying things he most likely knows nothing about, he isnt even properly involved in the production of marvel movies, why would anyone tell him first whether a certain movie has been confirmed or not, i know your all gonna say ITS FRICKIN STAN LEE, but come on seriously we on this site would probably know before him which movies have been confirmed or not
SigmaCenturion - 11/2/2012, 11:34 AM
Arnold Schwarzenegger for Black Panther.
Because race doesn't matter.
lol.
SigmaCenturion - 11/2/2012, 11:35 AM
But for real i think Michael Jai White should get the role.
SageMode - 11/2/2012, 11:40 AM
SIGMACERTURION

Lol.

Only difference is Black Panther's race and culture play the most pivotal aspect if his origin and alter-ego.
MutantEquality - 11/2/2012, 11:40 AM

Eeppp!!! Hope its true!! I dont know this guys track record very well as far as saying things that are true
StephenStrange - 11/2/2012, 12:11 PM
ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!!!!!!!!

seriously! Hell's bells, when you think of Doc Strange's pivotal role in the Marvel U, it seems like this should have been top priority.

But on the other hand Marvel/Disney has been afraid to depict sorcery/mysticism so far so I bet that has something to do with it.

But still.... I have been waiting for this!
novaprime - 11/2/2012, 12:12 PM
Lmao @ koolaid bag,ur a 100% true
Dunejedi - 11/2/2012, 12:14 PM
While I'm all for both of these properties being filmed, this just sounds like Stan's typical promotion-machine, B.S. artist brand of attention seeking.
IgnurRant - 11/2/2012, 12:14 PM
RobLiefeldFan & Marvel87

I'm not the biggest fan of the MCU. I find their new formula of movies (Post IM2) too geared toward a younger demogrpahic, very predictable and IMO they don't explore psychology of the heroes that well. I superimpose so much from the comics instead of bringing that same emmotion onscreen.

I believe a Black Panther movie would best be served outside the continuity of the MCU. It shouldn't be so much a superhero film as it is a story about a boy becoming a King. Wakanda and Black Panther has such a rich history that can be told. Plus keeping it out of the MCU allows for more passage of time.

I hate to use Nolan's trilogy as an example but I think the formula is beautiful. Black Panther Begins and starts a rebellion to regain the crown. Black Panther finally becomes King in the sequel. Old Black Panther where he the legacy comes full circle and his son becomes the new Black Panther.
koolaidbag - 11/2/2012, 12:15 PM
LOl thanks @novaprime just speaking it the way I see it. @toco89...what has stan said about deadpool, and why would he know anything about that movie?
Berserk - 11/2/2012, 12:15 PM
Glad to see that Stan The Man is a fan of Black Panther, this is some good news about both of the films.
avengers72 - 11/2/2012, 12:15 PM
