This action was a given. When you (Disney) own the largest comic book company (Marvel), it's only natural to give the Star Wars franchise to them.

@Dicky,

Don't feel bad for Dark Horse. Disney will buy them, too, soon enough. By the time were dead they'll have gobbled up Warner Brothers, D.C., and all other major entertainment properties.

"Damn! The kid in me that grew up reading Marvel Star Wars comics is excited, but the adult in me that loves Dark Horses Star Wars comics is sad.

Please no Star Wars crossovers with super hero comics."

SON OF A BATCH!! Man, I really loved the comics DH was putting out. Anyone reading agent of the empire? Great series. So what will happen to the series' that they're doing now? Will they be cancelled without being finished? I'll be pissed if that happens. Very pissed.

Personally I wouldn't mind an 'elseworlds-like' scenario between Darth Vader in Doctor Doom. But only if continuites don't intersect.

@Nomis, I concur! That's a pretty awesome idea Durranto. Hell even Silver Surfer or Nova.

I actually WANT to see a crossover. I've been dreaming of a Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Star Wars scenario for years.

Holy crap Nomis...Yes. That would be awesome. Or Galactus tries to eat a Deathstar and realizes it's not an actual planet and instead get indigestion.

don't really care for Star Wars. always seemed pretty lame to me but maybe a little Marvel magic will change that.

with that said, Star Wars takes place in the future right? so it's kind of impossible to workin them into the actual MU i'd assume.

Nomis@ The Force is eternal. No reason the Guardians of the Galaxy can't run across a Jedi or two, on their travels.

This was bound to happen. However, I wonder how the industry will be affected by this. This is surely a huge hit for Dark Horse.

@Dionysios
Agreed. Jan actually teaches at my school now.

ohhh, so their not actually from earth? i see. it could easily take place in the MU then. i personally think that would be pretty cool.

I guess this isn't too much of a surprise. Just keep Joe Quesada away from Star Wars.

I wonder if this means Marvel will starting doing new Indiana Jones comics as well?

While it makes a certain fiscal sence.... WTF!... At our art school, we had the top Editor in the building and she named Star Wars as one of their #1 titles just before the Disney buyoout. I want to use the term Hitler, but i have too much respect for the ORIGINAL man to slam his company that bad.... but the moneygrubbers in charge now are probably what the Mayans where predicting for today.
