From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released on August 1st.

The Hollywood Reporter has:

'Guardians of the Galaxy' TV Spot Teases 'Unstoppable Threat'

A new TV spot for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy debuts some unseen footage from the upcoming space opera — and perhaps suggests how Chris Pratt’s team of unlikely heroes ended up responsible for the universe after all.

Bright colors and exciting action isn't enough to get me excited. Not sure what to expect from this movie.
rockerdude22 - 6/6/2014, 9:47 AM
Another awesome spot!
sicknimon - 6/6/2014, 9:57 AM
GOTG!!!!!!!!!! "I was expecting to go in with a plan or a strategy or somethig!" "Have you met Peter Quill?"
ezio619 - 6/6/2014, 10:02 AM
i like that they are showing the action and visuals more..getting some insight into the characters but not giving away the story..save the character moments and drama of which i think they will have ,for the film
0megaDaGod - 6/6/2014, 10:03 AM
The CGI looks glorious

Also love how they aren't just putting up 'By the studio that brought you Avengers'. Prior to Avengers they'd have put Iron Man in that place, but now they've sold the world on these characters so well that they can put Cap and Thor in there as well

Hopefully we get a new Hulk film to add to the collection
ezio619 - 6/6/2014, 10:11 AM
i wanna hear more bradley cooper as rocket!!!
dethpillow - 6/6/2014, 10:24 AM
give em hell, rocket.
:)
ezio619 - 6/6/2014, 10:24 AM
i hope we get some good star lord and rokcet banter in the film
ezio619 - 6/6/2014, 10:42 AM
going on the recent reports..it seems that the guardians dont meet thanos face to face in the film but are quite aware of his presence.hmmm
MarvelFan15 - 6/6/2014, 10:56 AM
This spot definitely still makes me faithful in believing that this will still be Marvel's next billion dollar hit! Only 8 more weeks left to go until it comes out! YEAH!!!!
Mrcool210 - 6/6/2014, 11:01 AM
"[frick] you Bay, this is how to make a movie"
Considering bay is the producer and not the director thats a stupid claim to make. And you can only say "this is how to make a movie" when you've actually seen the damn thing
Mrcool210 - 6/6/2014, 11:02 AM
Oh and also that line of "i see, a theif, 2 thugs, an assassin and a maniac" Am i the only one who thinks they only put that line is cause something similar was done in avengers?
sicknimon - 6/6/2014, 11:08 AM
@ Mrcool yes, you are the only one
2013venjix - 6/6/2014, 11:16 AM
Love it
ezio619 - 6/6/2014, 11:24 AM
i dont expect Cap 2 level action scenes from this..but i hope we get some good ones
Kayo - 6/6/2014, 11:26 AM
awesome.......wanna hear more from Ronan.
MrSuperheromoviefan - 6/6/2014, 11:30 AM
@Mrcool210 - "Considering bay is the producer and not the director thats a stupid claim to make."

The producer and not the director on what? I am talking about the Transformers. What are you talking about?
True I don't know how good it will be, but I do know how bad it won't be. At least not as bad as Transformers.
AnakinsTwin - 6/6/2014, 11:42 AM
Not bad but the trailer for GOTG in front of "Edge of tomorrow" is sooooooo much better!
SilverShamrock - 6/6/2014, 12:07 PM
@MrSuperheromoviefan -- I assume he thought you were referring to the upcoming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Bay is only credited as a producer on that film. Trailers and images of TMNT have been released lately, with its theatrical release coming just prior to GOTG. I'm with you on the central point of your post, however. GOTG looks to me like the most exciting movie of the summer. I thought X-Men: DOFP was truly excellent, Godzilla was very good as well, and I even enjoyed Maleficent, but I expect GOTG to be the stand-out of the summer season.
Mrcool210 - 6/6/2014, 12:08 PM
@MrSuperheromoviefan
Im talking about TMNT. That film does come out around the same time. And Bay is the producer on that. I thought you were talking about those films.
GA15 - 6/6/2014, 2:23 PM
can't wait to see this.is it august yet!
MakluIV - 6/6/2014, 2:45 PM
I try to stay away from trailers but this looks so damn cool, I just can't help myself. Hooked on a feeling. :)
