COMICS: Alex Ross Provides A Stunning Variant For DEATH OF WOLVERINE #1

This September, Wolverine is going to die. He'll return eventually of course (more than likely in time for Hugh Jackman's next big screen appearance as the iconic Marvel character), but it seems fitting that Alex Ross has provided this beautiful variant covering his history in the Marvel Universe...

Now that's how you do a collage poster... Take note, shitty hollywood designers.
Jollem - 6/17/2014, 10:50 AM

Stunning indeed.
Amazing512 - 6/17/2014, 10:55 AM
Wow, that just may be my favorite Alex Ross Wolverine cover ever.
BatManiac - 6/17/2014, 11:01 AM
That cover is... EPIC!
BANEofExistence - 6/17/2014, 11:01 AM
BEAUTIFUL! Amazing artist! I hope we get something similar to his brown costume (Or maybe a black and yellow) in a future X-Men film! His future DOFP costume was pretty sweet! I understand not wanting the mask but give him an under armor type costume like in DOFP

Brilliant.
Azbat - 6/17/2014, 11:01 AM
Alex Ross.... one of the greats
DarkTalbot13 - 6/17/2014, 11:02 AM
This any of his Batman/Justice League art will be my favorite.

cipher - 6/17/2014, 11:02 AM
Yeah, I liked Ross' redesign of the X-Men.
cipher - 6/17/2014, 11:03 AM
I think his work on Marvels is my personal favourite.
slashsnikt - 6/17/2014, 11:03 AM
best wolverine suit is his x-force suit who agrees?
Gusto - 6/17/2014, 11:04 AM
Not a huge Ross fan, but that's pretty decent.

MrChuff - 6/17/2014, 11:06 AM
Has Alex Ross ever done a straight-up cover of Logan? Minus the suit?
Been looking for one but never even thought to ask the biggest collection of geeks I have access to.... :)
0megaDaGod - 6/17/2014, 11:06 AM
Simply stunning....

Now who the hell are those guys at the bottom of the cover?
DoctorCranium - 6/17/2014, 11:07 AM
I wonder if I'll ever see the actual Wolverine on the big screen in my lifetime. Not this watered down, no costume wearing, kiddy version that we've been force-fed. I'm pretty much done with the character until then (at least on film). Death is probably the best option for him at this point since Singer has already killed any semblance of him.
Azbat - 6/17/2014, 11:08 AM
@DoctorCranium
So what you're looking for is more of his cameo in X-Men: First Class.
cipher - 6/17/2014, 11:09 AM
Now that I think about it, I don't think I can recall Ross ever doing a Logan cover. I could be wrong, but yeah.
campblood - 6/17/2014, 11:10 AM
no wonder Wolvie has the hots for jean

Sunnyd - 6/17/2014, 11:10 AM
Hangs in my room.

0megaDaGod - 6/17/2014, 11:11 AM
Psylocke/Storm >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Any other female X Men
SWelch - 6/17/2014, 11:12 AM
I really love the brown costume the best.
Azbat - 6/17/2014, 11:12 AM
wait... Cipher, did you just say that Ross redesigned the X-Men?
Bl00dwerK - 6/17/2014, 11:16 AM
The brown costume reminds me of better days (for Wolverine)...
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/17/2014, 11:16 AM
Amazing. Wolverine's beginning to his dying end.
cipher - 6/17/2014, 11:17 AM
Az- Yeah, he did a few designs way back. Here ya go:

Azbat - 6/17/2014, 11:17 AM
Oh, ok. I thought you were saying that the red and black image was his redesign. This makes more sense.
campblood - 6/17/2014, 11:17 AM
blackandyellow - 6/17/2014, 11:19 AM
Gusto, do you like Rodolfo Migliari's stuff? He's pretty similar to Ross. Maybe better, actually.

sKeemAn - 6/17/2014, 11:20 AM
This poster is nice. Its full on retro. Got the short black mask from back when he first appeared in Hulk series, and the classic brown suit. Love it.
Dios - 6/17/2014, 11:20 AM
Now thats a Cover
imnotwearinghockeypants - 6/17/2014, 11:21 AM
And he'll be back in two months.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/17/2014, 11:21 AM
Why we haven't seen this wolverine in the films is blasphemous!
sKeemAn - 6/17/2014, 11:22 AM
So Wolverine will be dead, what until his healing factor comes back.
Nomis - 6/17/2014, 11:24 AM
NOW THAT'S HOW WOLVERINE SUPPOSED TO LOOK IN LIVE ACTION MOVIES!!!!

To hell with Hugh "too Tall" Jackman and his wife beater, jeans look or too tight black leather look!

And would if be so wrong if they let Wolvie wear his cowboy hat to wear in the movies?!?!?!?!?!
