From the ashes of the once proud mutant haven Genosha, an evil power rises. Exploiting the limitless gifts of the world’s greatest telepath Charles Xavier, the Red Skull has enslaved thousands, amassed an army and now broadcasts his message of hate across the world. Channeling the unstoppable force known as Onslaught, the Red Skull’s ruthless and unparalleled evil now wields a destructive power unmatched by even the most powerful heroes.

The fractured teams of Avengers and X-Men are now all that stands in the way of total obliteration. Earth’s last hope now hinges on the fragile alliance of these two estranged teams. In the shadows of the Red Supremacy, can they fight as one? Even united, they may not be enough to stem the coming darkness. And if they fall, all hope is lost.

The battle begins this October in Act I of Avengers & X-Men: AXIS but fans anxiously awaiting the explosive first issue can get their first teases in March to AXIS, special lead in stories setting the stage for the epic event! The March to AXIS begins this September in Uncanny Avengers #24, Captain America #24, Magneto #9 and Loki: Agent of Asgard #6!

They changed the colors on the Goblin. The original image had what appeared to be the Green Goblin (or a Skrull), but they recolored it to make it the Hobgoblin. Odd...
2gold - 6/17/2014, 3:48 PM
To be honest, the blacked out character kind of looks like Wolverine. But that's can't be, he'll be dead.
dethpillow - 6/17/2014, 4:10 PM
yeah, in a casual sense, i agree it looks/sounds shitty.
to me, it looks like a caricature of what events always seem like when u first hear about them.

everything about it just looks so Event Happy.

But Remender is crazy in all the best ways,
u never know what he might pull off.
Becuz it's him, i think it's too early to tell much off it.

@OmegaBlack13 - yeah, it was Goblin to Hobgoblin. they said it was a mistake in coloring, which doesn't make any sense. so probably a revision.

Based on both pictures the people in the mirrored cover has deadpool and thor, make most sense if it was one of them
RobtimusPrime - 6/17/2014, 6:12 PM
I'll give it a chance.
But, Red Skull rocking the Onslaught armor looks ridiculous. And if this is anything close quality wise, to Avengers vs. X-Men. I just might give both comics a break for a couple months.
Bl00dwerK - 6/17/2014, 7:38 PM
I'm sick of these two groups being together...
AnthonyLantern - 6/17/2014, 7:54 PM
I hate that they just changed the colors of GG into HG and thought no one would notice
Shadowmaster35 - 6/17/2014, 9:21 PM
OnslaughtSkull huh? Well let's see how it goes. At least they aren't fighting among themselves reallllllly tired of this hero on hero crap.
wcwpoet - 6/17/2014, 11:14 PM
Dammit now that's more like it! Heroes actually fighting villains!
pepe - 6/18/2014, 3:20 AM
I remember when Marvel had alot of groups. Now every new group is an Avenger.... Thats fascist
FrankBerzerk - 6/18/2014, 4:07 AM
@wcwpoet:
Hahaa!!
After World War Hulk:
Secret Invasion, the whole Dark Reign, Siege, Fear Itself, Chaoswar, Doomwar, Annihilation & Annihilation: Conquest, World War HulkS (with the S)
Hero vs Hero or Hero vs Villain?

After AvX:
Infinity (vs villain) , AoU (crap.... but still vs Villain), Original Sin( Investgating the villain)

you are over exaggerate things about how hero fighting each other
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/18/2014, 4:39 AM

jimoakley666 - 6/18/2014, 5:22 AM
^ Derp! Really?
Alfredo27 - 6/18/2014, 6:08 AM
World War Hulk didnt actually happen in cannon, yet some reason everyone wants to bring it up always.

They just keep bring the Xmen and Avengers more and more together in hopes of making the Avengers as popular as the Xmen.
sicknimon - 6/18/2014, 6:12 AM
This story actually has merit. Uncanny Avengers is about bringing the Mutants and Avengers together. The ground work of this story has already started in Uncanny Avengers.
sicknimon - 6/18/2014, 6:16 AM
**SPOILERS??**

In Uncanny Avengers Red Skull removed Proffesor X's brain and is using his telepathic powers. Then throughout the series the Apocolypse Twins hint at the epic battle where Red Skull enslaves mutants (it's basically just the opposite of Age of Apocolypse) and is the reason why The Apocolypse Twins created the mutant planet. So, epic battle that will enslave mutants. HERE WE GO!!!!
RetroFit - 6/18/2014, 7:09 AM
I can't stand this new look for the Red Skull. Looks like a ripoff of a cross between the Atomic Skull and some generic Onslaught battle armor.

sicknimon - 6/18/2014, 7:36 AM
@Retrofit is that from the Avenger's Assemble teseract skull?? I agree totally looks like JL's verision of Atomic Skull. That's not exactly the new Red Skull version though. The one above technically isn't the "new version" either. I suppose using Charlie's brain, it was only a matter of time before Red Skull tapped into Onslaught. Makes sense.
sicknimon - 6/18/2014, 7:36 AM
tapped onslaught... hehehehe

I´m really enjoying Uncanny Avengers, so I definitely gonna grab this.
