First Full-Length Trailer For DOCTOR WHO Starring Peter Capaldi

Not a bad teaser, although it's unlikely to convince those who don't consider themselves a fan of the series to tune in as the arrival of a new Doctor doesn't seem to have shaken up the popular show all that much! Matt Smith was the last actor to play The Doctor, and Peter Capaldi made a brief appearance as the twelfth incarnation of the character in the hugely popular "The Day of the Doctor" special. However, he didn’t officially take on the role until Smith regenerated into the World War Z actor in the following episode. Doctor Who returns to TV on Saturday, August 23rd.

This is my bonerific substitute for Nail's cosplays today.
SuperDude001 - 7/13/2014, 1:11 PM
Isn't it just 'trailer' not 'teaser trailer'? Anyhow apart from that nitpickiness, this is like the best thing ever! Capaldi looks amazing!
cartoonpersona - 7/13/2014, 1:19 PM
Capaldi is going to be great
BlindJustice - 7/13/2014, 1:26 PM
This will be BRILLIANT!!!
Mrcool210 - 7/13/2014, 1:28 PM
THIS LOOKS FREAKING GREAT!! Hell Yeah, can't wait till it airs.

spidey1994 - 7/13/2014, 1:29 PM
Peter Capaldi just oozes badassery! Daleks, cool looking robots and aliens, dogfights in space, a [frick]ing T-Rex in London?! [frick] YEAH!!!!
ekrolo2 - 7/13/2014, 1:29 PM
Give the Daleks a [frick]ing break already.
Mrcool210 - 7/13/2014, 1:31 PM
JatevinM - 7/13/2014, 1:35 PM
The way he delivered the "into darkness" line was perfect
RebelVulcan - 7/13/2014, 1:36 PM
Dinosaurs! Daleks! Cyber-Silurians! Explosions! Spaceships!
This looks so awesome.
Luminus - 7/13/2014, 1:38 PM
@ekrolo2: Agreed. They're being overused. You can't overuse super powerful villains, if the Doctor is just going to keep defeating them. This is like the Borg on Star Trek, where they get weaker each time Voyager encounters them.
JatevinM - 7/13/2014, 1:46 PM
ekrolo2 and Luminus@ You can't have a Doctor that doesn't encounter them. They are too important to his mythos and him as a character to just not have them.
Vadakin - 7/13/2014, 1:50 PM
I read the scripts. A bit hit and miss. Didn't watch the leaked episodes though.
cartoonpersona - 7/13/2014, 1:58 PM
They should bring back the master for capaldi to face off with
EzioKenway1225 - 7/13/2014, 1:59 PM
the reaosn they have to use the daleks is because if they dont use them atleast once every series, the rights go back to their creators estate
EzioKenway1225 - 7/13/2014, 2:00 PM
so i just saw it..OMG!!!!..i cant wait..Capaldi is gonna rock it
iFightForTheUsers - 7/13/2014, 2:02 PM
I am loving the tone of Capaldi's Doctor. If it sticks to what we're seeing in these previews, he will undoubtedly be my favorite.
EzioKenway1225 - 7/13/2014, 2:09 PM
i dont think i have hated a Doctor,i have seen some classic, mainly the Fourth and Fifth Doctor and i like both of them, The Fourth being my favorite of the two,my least favorite is The Third Doctor not because Jon Pertwee is bad,he is quite good,i still like him,its because that Doctor is more James Bond ,he knows martial arts and i prefer the Doctor use his brains more then his brawns, just a personal preference,my favorite is Matt Smiths Eleventh Doctor, he was MY Doctor ,i started the show when he was on, he was more childlike and silly but could be dark and angry too
SuperDude001 - 7/13/2014, 2:19 PM
ekrolo2 and Luminus and JatevinM @ My hope is the use the Daleks and Cybermen this season just to pull in fans who are unsure about Capaldi as the Doctor, after all those are the two major villains all the Doctors face so using them in the first season (as long as in a good story) will be an induction for Capaldi's Doctor. I mean I can't predict his Doctor's arcs or Moffat's writing, but I think they'll definitely lay off one of the two after the first season.
Celotom - 7/13/2014, 2:38 PM
@ekrolo2 They need to use Daleks and Cyberman every season or they lost their rights.
Kevwebsz - 7/13/2014, 2:46 PM
JillyMcBeam - 7/13/2014, 2:46 PM
@Celotom

To who? Who else could even think about claiming those rights?
EzioKenway1225 - 7/13/2014, 2:51 PM
Jillymcbeam-they go back to their creators estates
ProfessorX - 7/13/2014, 2:53 PM
The Daleks are only in one episode this series (Ep 2 "Into The Dalek"), but of course they put them in the trailer because they're his most iconic villains.
Space - 7/13/2014, 2:54 PM
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GERMANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[frick] ARGENTINA!
Joementum - 7/13/2014, 3:31 PM
BBC-America date ???
Ramiel - 7/13/2014, 4:04 PM
Can't wait!

Celotom - 7/13/2014, 4:11 PM
@JillyMcBeam Terry Nation and Gerry Davis, the creators of the monsters :) But they don't need to use like one full episode about Daleks or Cyberman... They can just make a flashback or scene, like in The Wedding of River Song and Waters of Mars.
Holmes - 7/13/2014, 4:11 PM
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TheActionAce - 7/13/2014, 4:51 PM
YESSS!!!!!

Cant Wait!!!
HeadPool420 - 7/13/2014, 4:56 PM
Nice to see an older gent playing the Doctor again.
Dandy - 7/13/2014, 5:08 PM
This is looking good. Love me some Doctor Who!
Celotom - 7/13/2014, 5:13 PM
If you watched the leaked episode (of course I won't spoil anything), you'll notice that the series became very dark and mature. I love it! Capaldi is such a great Doctor, and very different of all others!
campblood - 7/13/2014, 5:53 PM
DINOSAUR!
gordonh7 - 7/14/2014, 12:32 AM
The best thing is we got it in the UK before everyone else. Last years 50th. The first footage shown was to people at San Diego Comic-con and Its a British show. So we should be the first ones who get to see it.
jimoakley666 - 7/14/2014, 2:24 AM
Capaldi seems very grave as the Doctor. Nice new direction. Looking forward to it. It looks like he may be closer to William Hartnell in tone.
bobevanz - 7/14/2014, 9:02 AM
I didn't know the first episode was leaked! Getting it now
Celotom - 7/14/2014, 9:06 AM
It's black and white, no CGI and sound is bad. But there's Capaldi, and he's awesome! I don't recommend anyone to watch it (it's better to wait for the final cut), but you can already see it'll be great!
dezdigi - 7/14/2014, 7:41 PM
Can't wait for this shiz! I'm really excited for Capaldi and I hope the tone of the preview is the same throughout the season.
I can't ever get enough Dalek!
