From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released on August 1st.

Is this a prop or it's from a fan?

Eugene - 7/28/2014, 5:04 PM

rockerdude22 - 7/28/2014, 5:07 PM
As of right now, it's at 97% with 28/29 reviews, 8.1 average rating. Pretty damn good start!

Seeing this on Thursday in 3D. Only 2 days to go! I've never been this excited for a movie!

@celotom

I can only assume that is from a fan, because Douglas looks like has has or is about to sign it. Plus, I don't think Marvel would ever adapt a costume so accurately. On a side note, look how sad Douglas is. I don't think any of the actors want to be associated with this film. Sad...

Guardians is going to be incredible, I can't wait to see it. Unfortunately, I think it will be Marvel's peak. What they are doing with Ultron and Ant-Man is the epitome of laziness. I believe it spits in the face of many loyal readers and core supporters of their company.

@ celotom

Almost here baby!
RamonSuarez - 7/28/2014, 5:16 PM
Well, trolls are evolving.

A year or two ago it was GOTG that was going to be Marvel's downfall/first bomb.

Now its going to be Antman.
McNyagano - 7/28/2014, 5:16 PM
I'm ready this time.
GiantNerd - 7/28/2014, 5:20 PM

Hey guys. We are not critics or professional whatsoever, but we do review movies on YouTube. And we've seen this bad boy. Here's our thoughts on it if you're interested.

"At the height of their powers, our overlords at Marvel have deigned to prove, like an emperor tolerating a court jester, that they do, in fact, have a sense of humor.

The Marvel universe, of course, isn't entirely lacking comedy, as we've seen in "Iron Man" and "The Avengers." But on the whole, the Marvel kingdom is built on an unshakable foundation of self-seriousness."

Sorry, last time I quote this. I just love it so much. ^^

@Celotom

If Michael Douglas actually wears that...I might cry.

UltimateNullifier - 7/28/2014, 5:57 PM
I saw an advance screening of GOTG this past Wednesday night in Atlanta, and let me tell you, the one idiot that gave it the rotten review was clearly in it for the click bait. He has no idea what he's talking about. I don't have a clue what movie he was watching, if he watched it at all. To say that Marvel is too "self-serious" is just laughable. Hell, Marvel gets chided on here all the time for not being serious enough. Jake Coyle is a dickelope.
Maestro - 7/28/2014, 5:59 PM
9.0 on IMDB and 97% Rotten Tomatoes?

WATCHING!!!
LexHairFight - 7/28/2014, 6:05 PM
Douglas was great at the presentation. He's studied up on the character and was really funny. "I've popped a lot of cherries" was one of the highlights of SDCC. I know the movie isn't comic-book accurate, but I like the dynamic's they've created. The mentor/mentee, father/daughter, business partner/former mentee who was corrupted, plus it's a heist movie. I have faith in this thing now.
Celotom - 7/28/2014, 6:08 PM
I'm just worried that they change the story of Scott. I love the thing with his daughter...
marvel72 - 7/28/2014, 6:10 PM
@ axel39leavell

good find my good man,good find.
csdot - 7/28/2014, 6:12 PM
Why would they have brought Ultron to SDCC just to hide it!
csdot - 7/28/2014, 6:12 PM
?
Ranger14 - 7/28/2014, 6:14 PM
The thing that will be interesting with GOTG is how the second weekend will shape up against TMNT.
marvel72 - 7/28/2014, 6:14 PM
@ RobertLiefeld

yeah right(rolls eyes)you just run along now & get back to drawing boobs on captain america.
LexHairFight - 7/28/2014, 6:20 PM
@Celotom -

The question I keep asking myself is "what's Lang's motivation"? We know why Pym is in all of this, my bet is it does have to do with his daughter.
0megaDaGod - 7/28/2014, 6:23 PM
@AOSgotAlright -

Yea, I was always looking forward to him in the role, but hearing him speak on it, plus learning so much more about the plot has got me almost as intrigued as I've ever been
MarvelFan15 - 7/28/2014, 6:26 PM
I agree with what the critics say that GOTG will be the best Marvel movie ever. Only 4 more days left to go until Marvel's next potential worldwide billion dollar hit-to-be, Guardians of the Galaxy, comes out baby! YEAH!!!!!!! Let's help Guardians get a billion worldwide by starting with getting Guardians to gross $100 million dollars or more in its opening weekend.
Celotom - 7/28/2014, 6:28 PM
@AOSgotAlright, I really hope so :)
Ranger14 - 7/28/2014, 6:33 PM
GOTG will be hard pressed to make a billion no matter how great the reviews are. There is a lot going on for box office still this summer and I would be happy if it does between $500-600 million. Anything over $400 million is a solid first offering and anything over $700 million would be outstanding.
SupermansRedUndies - 7/28/2014, 6:40 PM
Hopefully, GOTG can survive TMNT the following weekend.
TheBrownHornet - 7/28/2014, 6:43 PM
700-800 million for Guardians
