Variety reports that following its huge opening in North America this weekend, Paramount Pictures are celebrating the occasion with the announcement of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel. It will be released on June 3rd, 2016, and while there's currently no word on whether director Jonathan Liebesman will return, Michael Bay is set to return as producer and screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are set to write. Son of a bitch...
AlphaAndDecima - 8/10/2014, 8:24 AM
- Delve more in The Shredder/the Foot Clan, such as their backstory before they arrived in New York

- Have April O'Neil struggle to find a new job while trying to stick to her morals and not let out the scoop of knowing about the turtles

- Introduce Casey Jones

- Have Eric Sacks working with Baxter Stockman on recreating the mutagen that then creates Beebop and Rocksteady

- At the end of the film, have Sacks kill Oroku Saki and proclaim himself to be the new Shredder to lead into TMNT 3(c'mon, since that was the obvious idea to begin with, might as well put the armor on Sacks sometime in this proposed trilogy)

- Change Splinter's look

- Keep the turtles EXACTLY the same way. They were downright perfect.
Nubase - 8/10/2014, 8:24 AM
lol! Turtle power!

0megaDaGod - 8/10/2014, 8:24 AM
LOL, damn. That was fast

Now bring back Elias Coteus for Casey and we're all good
DudeGuyMan - 8/10/2014, 8:26 AM

SoundWave - 8/10/2014, 8:27 AM
And now someone please tell writers about Bebop and Rocksteady!!! We need them in sequel!!!
RedNTheHood - 8/10/2014, 8:27 AM

AreTudaEDub - 8/10/2014, 8:28 AM
Get Chris Miller & Phil Lord to write the script! Or tell the guys that make the cartoon to write revise the script.
Reasonnnn - 8/10/2014, 8:28 AM
This is [frick]ing retarded.

@AlphaandDecima how about we burn this franchise to the ground? Megan Fox as a journalist destined to find the turtles? [frick] NO.
AlphaAndDecima - 8/10/2014, 8:29 AM

Someone like Kellan Lutz will be Casey Jones, lol(or some upcoming Hollywood "star", lol). As long as the guy's awesome while wearing a hockey mask, I don't care who plays him.
Reasonnnn - 8/10/2014, 8:29 AM
Phil Lord & Chris Miller isn't touching this turd of a franchise.
Thebest2 - 8/10/2014, 8:29 AM
Go Ninja, Go Ninja GO!

Turtles power!
AlphaAndDecima - 8/10/2014, 8:30 AM

The fact that you decided to use the word 'retarded' doesn't make me think someone so belligerent should say if a franchise should "burn" or not.
DudeGuyMan - 8/10/2014, 8:30 AM
LOL! They're gonna cast Shia LaBeouf as Casey! Ahahahaha!
AlphaAndDecima - 8/10/2014, 8:32 AM

LOVE Attack the Block!

Moses was awesome as all hell.
AsgardianHobo - 8/10/2014, 8:34 AM
Saw it yesterday.......

2 really good action scenes, but the acting was on the edge of cringe-worthy. Every single joke basically got no reaction from the audience, except for that elevator scene (which I think was pretty creative).
AlexanderLykins - 8/10/2014, 8:35 AM
I have never wished it was April Fool's Day so hard in my life.
Reasonnnn - 8/10/2014, 8:35 AM
@AlphaandDecima Michael Bay tackling our childhood doesn't work with his sensibilities (well, maybe for this site). He has final say on everything in this franchise; I rather see him do non-Transformers stuff like working on a sequel to the [frick]ing insane Bad Boys II or just an original project.
Reasonnnn - 8/10/2014, 8:36 AM
non-childhood stuff*
MexicanChinman - 8/10/2014, 8:36 AM
Poor nolstogia fags, your childhoods was "raped" and will be raped again.
pesmerga44 - 8/10/2014, 8:40 AM
Oh okay cool for them still will not see this movie or any other schlock that Michael Bay has his hands in either as director or producer. Especially after he said this arrogant comment I will definitely never see one of his movies again.
“They love to hate and I don’t care; let them hate,They’re still going to see the movie! I think it’s good to get a little tension. Very good.”

So ya Michael Bay can suck a dick and I will never see his movies again.
AlphaAndDecima - 8/10/2014, 8:40 AM

Well, at least your reply sounded smarter than the previous one.

The turtles were handled extremely well and that's all one can ask for who's a fan of the turtles when a reboot is being made. Now that a sequel has been announced, I would hope that respect is given to all the other characters, but I could have watched an entire film with just the turtles and no one else simply because the writers seemed to actually care about getting them right. Getting the main characters right is a plus when a couple of previous CBMs had writers who can't even get their main characters right.
Bekss - 8/10/2014, 8:40 AM
Great, the movie was entertaining and just as stupid as the old ones.

And great for Guardians too, it has the biggest second weekend of the year leaving Cap2 in 2nd place
AsgardianHobo - 8/10/2014, 8:40 AM
Imma take off before this thread devolves into shit like every one before it. Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone! (if its still the weekend for you)
DudeGuyMan - 8/10/2014, 8:41 AM
Seriously though. If Shia isn't cast as Casey Jones I will be surprised as [frick].
NicolausCopernicus - 8/10/2014, 8:41 AM
there´s any chance to crossoverit with Power Rangers?
JackRyan9859 - 8/10/2014, 8:41 AM
I knew it was only a matter of time...I really enjoyed the first one!
Klone - 8/10/2014, 8:41 AM
The turtles look pretty horrifying, especially the one on the far right with the purple.
MrCBM56 - 8/10/2014, 8:41 AM
Saw it yesterday. It gets a big OK. Turtles were perfect (Though had a couple wtf moments), Fox as April was ehhhh. Arnett was forgettable, Shredder was really cool though the costume was an over-complicated mess. I don't know what the [frick] Whoopi was doing in this film. Fichtner was alright, nothing special. The fight scenes were awesome, but the CGI on the turtles wasn't as impressive as it should've been.

With all that said, I have zero anticipation for the sequel.
Alexandre - 8/10/2014, 8:41 AM
This movie was good. Not great. Not awesome. Just good. I enjoyed and I'm happy I'm getting a sequel. Now if it won't hurt too much, please Paramount ensure that the sequel is on par or better. Please
batman001 - 8/10/2014, 8:42 AM
ok guys if there doing a sequel here's what they have to fix no more corny jokes have the humor yes but don't have something like fart jokes introduce the turtles within the first five or ten minutes , give each turtle a personality , don't use the shredder again use someone like the krang and finally introduce casey jones
MrCBM56 - 8/10/2014, 8:42 AM
@Klone Donnie. Yeah he was pretty bad. Mostly because they stero-typed him horribly.
Klone - 8/10/2014, 8:43 AM
The smart one has glasses and looks like Steve Urkel? How pandering.
PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - 8/10/2014, 8:43 AM
Shit movie.
npamusic - 8/10/2014, 8:43 AM
[frick] this. [frick] that. look i can be a troll too. this movie stinks on ice, childhood raped people. bwhahaahaha see? i can be a jackass too..

Darth258 - 8/10/2014, 8:45 AM
Ah, this childhood thing again.
I grew up with the old cartoon too, then watched the Turtles Forever movie and realized how stupid they were (And i like the 2003 series better).
Every animated series they made and the original comics all had differences, but i'm happy if the core of the Turtles stays the same.
WerthamWasRight - 8/10/2014, 8:45 AM
Klone - 8/10/2014, 8:45 AM
I watched the 2003 series as a child (along with DCAU stuff) and I remember the main Shredder episodes: the one where he was introduced, the one where they show the origins, the one where Leonardo gets completely [frick]ed up and the one where they cut off his head.
npamusic - 8/10/2014, 8:45 AM
[frick]ing retards trying to troll.. lol try harder.
ALegendaryPanda - 8/10/2014, 8:47 AM
I'll be sure to catch this on Netflix
