Also got a sneak peek at the @MarvelUK's Comic-Con footage of #Avengers: Age of Ultron & Ant-Man. Very, very exciting stuff.

So, basically, they've released the whole movie for free, because NOTHING happens before this.
Luminus - 8/21/2014, 4:16 AM
If the creatures feed on atomic energy, shouldn't the creature get stronger when Godzilla shoots his atomic breath down it's throat? And why didn't they use the original Godzilla soundtracks, just updated?
CaptShipwreck - 8/21/2014, 4:23 AM
Great design , cool battle , giant lizard has more fans accepting who he is than superman lol... Part 2 more than a cameo we hope

I think the final battle on a 47inch 3D HDtv with a Godzilla 3D blu ray will be deep...
maxleresistant - 8/21/2014, 4:29 AM
Gareth Edwards did an amazing job
animeex - 8/21/2014, 4:35 AM
Just me... I heard they made a movie where Godzilla made a guest appearance. Awful look... awful yell... awful and weak radiation breath. I will stick to the original TOHO. Click here to find out when Godzilla 2 is set to be released in theaters!? Thx! I will try to avoid the theaters then.
batz11 - 8/21/2014, 4:45 AM
I was so jacked for this movie, only to be disappointed...hope the sequel is better...love, love, love the character of Godzilla...I know I shouldn't bring up Pacific Rim, but at least make the battles interesting like it...they were in the water, below the water, in the air, in the city, etc...
DraculaX - 8/21/2014, 4:47 AM
Awesome.
BatManiac - 8/21/2014, 4:48 AM
Terrible.
batz11 - 8/21/2014, 4:49 AM
The highlight was definitely the atomic breath...
Pasto - 8/21/2014, 4:50 AM
Best non-CBM of 2014.
Pasto - 8/21/2014, 4:55 AM
I love how people over exaggerate and say Godzilla was ONLY in the film for 5 minutes. I take it they must have ADD and are not capable to sit in a movie theater for 2 hours unless something is blowing up at every [frick]ing moment.

@Pasto

It makes me wonder if these people have ever scene a Godzilla film in there lives. Since he gets about as much screen time in this film as he does in the other films
loki668 - 8/21/2014, 5:00 AM
Did anyone else notice that Godzilla and Iggy Azalea have the same size ass?
JonAnon - 8/21/2014, 5:01 AM
By epic final battle you mean the only battle in the whole film edited together.
Pasto - 8/21/2014, 5:02 AM
@Thelastdalel
Right? Most Godzilla films mainly focus on the enemy monster for most of it, then have Godzilla show up to finally defeat the bad guy. This isn't a new formula, it's always been like this.
batz11 - 8/21/2014, 5:04 AM
loki, I was thinking Nicki haha

loki668 - 8/21/2014, 5:07 AM
@batz11

I don't know if it's THAT big!! You're gonna give Godzilla a complex!!
InfiniteMonkey - 8/21/2014, 5:10 AM
Godzilla sucked!

How did this get any good reviews is beyond me. Rubbish.
breakUbatman - 8/21/2014, 5:15 AM
Cameo my ass.

He was in the film for a decent amount of time it's just that Kick Ass and Heisenberg's family were the focus of the film.

The film wasn't about Godzilla as an entity but about the effects of the monsters on peoples lives. I could have done with more fighting but lets not get carried away
MrNiklander - 8/21/2014, 5:20 AM
I cant see shit please dont tell me that when the movie hits blu ray will be dark like this?
CookieKid247 - 8/21/2014, 5:23 AM

"I love how people over exaggerate and say Godzilla was ONLY in the film for 5 minutes. I take it they must have ADD and are not capable to sit in a movie theater for 2 hours unless something is blowing up at every [frick]ing moment."

That was an amazing statement made and I couldn't agree more.
Maia87 - 8/21/2014, 5:27 AM
"the film is about the effects of the monsters on peoples lives", bla bla bla.

Seriously people, it's a terrible movie. Boring characters, awful dialogues, unnecessary teases for showing the monsters, huge plotholes and Godzilla protecting humanity like a Pokemon or something.
Shroombeast - 8/21/2014, 5:32 AM
Loved the movie, looking forward to the sequels. The haters are so [frick]ing whiney.
McGee - 8/21/2014, 5:33 AM
batz...loki....I love big fat asses.

Jobin - 8/21/2014, 5:34 AM
I liked the movie. But the problems I had were the same as everyone else. Not enough Godzilla, and most of him was at night time and you could barely see shit. Too dark. But I guess night time scenes make it easier to do CGI.

"Seriously people, it's a terrible movie. Boring characters, awful dialogues, unnecessary teases for showing the monsters, huge plotholes and Godzilla protecting humanity like a Pokemon or something."

You mean protecting humanity like Godzilla. Like he's done in countless other films

The fact that you found it boring doesn't change what the movie was about or how much screen time the monsters had.
transmigrant - 8/21/2014, 6:03 AM
And…. it's so dark you can't see anything.

One day I like to see a film where monsters and giants don't just come out at night to fight...
MightyZeus - 8/21/2014, 6:18 AM
That Godzilla fight was truly epic especially watching it in IMAX.
Supersperm - 8/21/2014, 6:22 AM
Why didn't they take the fight somewhere else..soo much destruction.
Mysterion - 8/21/2014, 6:23 AM
why people saying "not enough Godzilla"? I thought he was in the movie plenty. IMO the movie was great, I saw it in a packed theater and everyone went nuts when Godzillas spikes started to glow because they knew what was coming.
Superior - 8/21/2014, 6:23 AM
@Pasto

He was only in the film for about eight minutes or more. The thing is the part where Godzilla first appears they built up indirect hype towards the audience. They showed that scene at Comic Con and that's where they cut it off at. I and others weren't expecting news coverage, I was expecting to see the fight. You can't be disappointed by today's audience members. When they hear Godzilla, they expect it to be like every other generic disaster movie. Also, they shouldn't have killed off Cranston.
Mysterion - 8/21/2014, 6:34 AM
Gareth Edwards comment on Godzillas screen time:

"When we sat down, we talked about what kind of movie we were thinking about and we talked about ‘Jurassic Park,’ ‘Jaws’ and a lot of Spielberg movies like ‘Close Encounters’. Also, ‘Alien’ and ‘King Kong’. And, they all have one thing in common: it’s about an hour into the movie before you see the creature. Because our benchmark films had taken that approach, no one ever really got nervous. And, to be honest, we sat and watched those movies that give it to you straight away and don’t let up until you leave, and…you just get tired. Quite easily you reach a brick wall and you get what I call “CGI fatigue.” Where you can’t care anymore about anything. When everything is cranked up to 11, you just can’t care anymore. So, that was always the consideration. To try and build slowly and tease and pull the audience in, and then when they get it, it’ll be more powerful."
DaneMendieta - 8/21/2014, 6:44 AM
Problems with Godzilla:
-Too much time spending on human characters
-Too little time spent on the king of the monsters himself
-Boring as hell, there are older Godzilla movies more entertaining than this one.
-Not made by Marvel studios
-It is Warners... what we expect
