Scoot McNairy Hints That BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Role Is Long-Term

Recent set photos have led to a lot of speculation about who Scoot McNairy (Argo) will be playing in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and now a new interview with the actor seems to indicate that he'll have a role in the DC Cinematic Universe moving forwards. Is he The Flash?

Scoot McNairy and his green CGI socks have resulted in fans reaching the conclusion that he will appear in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice as either The Flash, Metallo or possibly a wonded Metropolis citizen from Superman and General Zod's battle in Man of Steel. In a recent interview with Schmoes Know, they told the Argo star that they very much hope to see him as a member of the Justcue League in Zack Snyder's movie. His response? "Yeah well…I hope to be a part of the DC Universe for a while as well." That's an interesting reply, and it could be seen in some way as confirmation that he will indeed be suiting up as the Scarlet Speedster. On the other hand, it could just be that he hopes to appear in more of these movies, but if his role is just a one off, why mention an unlikely return? We're going to have to wait and see! In equally interesting news from the interview, McNairy was quizzed on whether he will be reteaming with his Monsters director Gareth Edwards for his upcoming Star Wars spin-off! "You know Gareth has been a Star Wars fan since he was a little kid, you know so if I was going to be in one of the Star Wars films, I would definitely want to be in the one he directs." What do you guys think?

Metallo works for Lex and against Superman for a long time... Just saying.
MrBlackjack - 8/21/2014, 11:52 AM
Flash dance!
Sipprelle - 8/21/2014, 11:52 AM
I'm starting to lean more towards Metallo, but I'd be fine with him as Flash.
Hatsas01 - 8/21/2014, 11:53 AM
He's Bat-Mite, of course!
ALegendaryPanda - 8/21/2014, 11:53 AM
I think he'd make a great flash!
McGee - 8/21/2014, 11:55 AM
One day it'll be obvious who he is playing. We just gotta follow the clues.

ElShumway - 8/21/2014, 11:55 AM
He.is.not.the.flash. He's an amputee. If he was flash he'd have the entire legs covered and in mocap, not green socks. If he had metal leg's he would again have mocap socks. Learn how VFX works. And how a person runs, LOL! I'm a goddamn alien and I have to teach you humans the basics. SMH!

I think he is Metallo because of the green screen socks he wore so the could give him Metal feet. It would not have made sense to have those for Flash.
Dmon - 8/21/2014, 11:57 AM
I also bet the Flash appearance will be the very last scene they film.
TheFirstAvenger97 - 8/21/2014, 11:57 AM
Solomon Grundy....

The curiosity is killing me.
neihofft - 8/21/2014, 12:01 PM
I know some people are still thinking "HOW DO PEOPLE KEEP GETTING THE FLASH OUT OF THIS?"
There are multiple ways to show super speed on film. Of all the speedsters in fiction, Flash is kind of the most visual. The stockings could be for some crazy detail on lightning and debri. We simply dont know. And if its Metallo, why would just his feet be showing..?
yossarian - 8/21/2014, 12:02 PM
He's not Daredevil so he sucks the dicks.
MantiniuMan - 8/21/2014, 12:02 PM
WOW....

Long reoccurring role...
CaptShipwreck - 8/21/2014, 12:02 PM
No matter what he does, he will be the guy that fan favorite Trevor killed ...
Bread - 8/21/2014, 12:02 PM
@Dmon maybe those socks were just for a certain effect that they were filming that day.
MercwithMouth - 8/21/2014, 12:03 PM
The Metallo theory makes A LOT more sense, considering they use green like that against green screen to make limbs disappear.
Enphlieuwince - 8/21/2014, 12:04 PM

So much reaching going on...
Lazarusreborn - 8/21/2014, 12:04 PM
Normally though, they would place balls or some type of markers on the legs for motion capture, right? Usually if things are green only, that means they are going to be completely wiped out or invisible. Yeah I said balls, shut up...
TheBaroness89 - 8/21/2014, 12:05 PM
He could always be Kalibak.
KIDDSOUL - 8/21/2014, 12:06 PM
Martian Manhunter? Metallo? Metamorpho? Green CGI socks doesn't makes sense to me with speed; maybe that's just me.

However, Anything that changes, morphs or have armor makes the most sense.
sKeemAn - 8/21/2014, 12:06 PM
I like the Metallo idea more than Flash. But i bet it's not either one
MrMartinMarvel - 8/21/2014, 12:07 PM
Of course it's going to be long term, what would the DC Universe do without Invisible Leg Man?
DrWhoCares - 8/21/2014, 12:08 PM
I think Synder is mind f#cking us. He told Scooter to walk out with some green socks on and everybody will have a good laugh and then go eat some nachos.
CherryBomb - 8/21/2014, 12:08 PM
I wanna see Wally as Flash and I don't think he's a fit.
He'd be a good Hal Jordon though!

Or maybe he is Metallo! I always love it when villains return.
Dingbat - 8/21/2014, 12:09 PM
Booster Gold
CherryBomb - 8/21/2014, 12:09 PM
Yeah, Snyder would've never let someone walk out openly off set to have a smoke in costume or in green screen, he did it on purpose to get everyone wondering who he is. It's obviously no accident and it's incredible marketing.
cipher - 8/21/2014, 12:10 PM
McGee, I know, right? The signs are everywhere. We just have to stand back, and see what's what.
