Stephen Amell Suits Up As The ARROW To Respond To WWE's "Vigilante" Sting

Stephen Amell is a big WWE fan, but he has taken to Facebook on behalf of Starling City's original vigilante to reveal his mock outrage with WCW legend Sting's use of that moniker upon his recent debut on Raw. Hit the jump to check out the fully suited up actor's reaction...

Arrow star Stephen Amell has expressed his interest in hosting Raw a number of times now, and yet the WWE keeps calling up a bunch a D-List losers instead of arguably the most popular superhero on TV. In a brief video posted to the actor's Facebook account, it appears as if the Starling City vigilant has some beef with Sting stealing his nickname (remember, "The Vigilante" was used for quite some time before being replaced by "The Arrow"). For those of you who haven't watched in a while, WCW's Sting has indeed made his WWE debut and looks set to wrestle - in a t-shirt because he's, you know, old - at this year's WrestleMania. Honestly? Triple H vs. The Arrow sounds a lot more like it. Check out the video below, and then share your thoughts in the usual place.

Sting is called a vigilante because he's dealing with The Authority under his own rules. Triple H said that he's not a WWE Superstar therefore it is morally wrong of him to be interfering with the outcomes of matches. The Authority are the people in power of WWE and they abuse their powers to favor what they think is "best for business". Sting saw what corruption can do to a company and he doesn't want The Authority to cause the destruction of WWE just like Ted Turner and crew lead to the destruction of WCW ( his company). The Authority's power were on the line in Survivor Series, so Sting made sure they would lose by attacking Triple H with the Scorpion Death Drop. Authority lost power but quickly returned thanks to Mr.Money in the Bank Seth Rollins holding Edge hostage, which forced John Cena to cave in and let them back. They fired 3 superstars. John Cena was placed in a 3-on-1 handicap to get their jobs back. Just when it looked like a loss for Cena, Sting caused the distraction to help John Cena roll up Seth Rollins for the victory and jobs back. Hence, Sting is a vigilante.
