WWE Superstars King Barrett And Stardust Have A Message For ARROW's Stephen Amell

It had been rumoured for months, but last week's Raw made it official: Stephen Amell will wrestle at WWE SummerSlam this Sunday. The Arrow star appears to have been training for this match for some time now, so who knows, perhaps a career in the squared circle actually lies in his future!

For those of you who don't know, Amell will be teaming up with former NXT Champion Neville to take on Stardust and King Barrett in a tag team match. Seeing as the actor plays a superhero on TV (season four of Arrow kicks off on The CW this October), the WWE has been really playing up the fact the comic book elements of this rivalry, enhancing the personas of the wrestlers involved to reflect that. In the video below, Stardust and Barrett have a dire warning for Amell. It's going to be very interesting to see how he performs at the Jon Stewart hosted event this weekend, eh?

They are still continuing this absolutely asinine feud between Amell and some D list wrestler this is hilarious. The soap opera levels of melodrama in wrestling makes it hilarious.

This might be the first pro wrestling match I watch since Sgt. Slaughter and The Iron Sheik had their Boot Camp match at Madison Square Garden in '84. I think this is good promotion. Wrestling fans are loyal.

We can talk all day about which is more juvenile or just plain stupid, but ultimately we're enjoying both wrestling and comic book movies for the same reason. We all know wrestling is fake, scripted and predetermined win/loss, but that doesn't matter. We know Spider-man is going to save New York no matter what. So, why the hate about wrestling. It's the pageantry, the story telling, the bad acting and the bad promos, and the botch moves as well. For Pro Wrestling, it's all the kooky craziness that isn't suppose to be taken seriously.

Anyone saying how dumb wrestling is...is right. It is dumb. But hell if it isn't entertaining sometimes.
