Kathleen Kennedy Teases Plans To Resurrect STAR WARS 1313 And Live-Action TV Series

As you may recall, there was at one time a Star Wars TV series in the works with the working title of Star Wars: Underworld. George Lucas talked about plans to make as many 400 episodes, while we heard that 100 scripts had already been written. The main problem appeared to be the budget, with a series of this scale not being a realistic endeavour for any TV network. Meanwhile, the highly anticipated Boba Fett video game - Star Wars 1313 - was scrapped when Disney bought Lucasfilm and the Expanded Universe was thrown out. However, both of these projects could still become a reality! Asked by /Film about the former, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy said: "Interestingly enough, thats an area we’ve spent a lot of time, reading through the material that he developed is something we very much would like to explore." There have been rumours about a Netflix series, so chances are Star Wars: Underworld could live on in some form there or on ABC.

After describing the Star Wars 1313 concept art as "Unbelievable", Kennedy promised that they're at least considering doing something with that IP. "So our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to."
