The site has been sent the following piece of art reportedly from DC's Watchmen 2 project for the planned prequel featuring Silk Spectre II. Seemingly drawn by artist Amanda Conner (who was recently linked to the comic book series) it may be our first look at how the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons created character will appear in the controversial new series. Whether it is indeed the real deal and associated with the prequel isn't 100% confirmed at this point, but stay tuned for more details as and when they're made available.

Seems like so, especially with Bleeding Cool itself holds that so-called project that they used to reveal both the designs of Nite-Owl II and Comedian in the past. But that design...looks bad.

Does Moore even have any thing to do with this (bit of a silly question), cos he must be p*ssssssssssed ! ! !
DZ123 - 1/1/2012, 5:00 AM
jazzman beat me to it.
DZ123 - 1/1/2012, 5:04 AM
Scottpilgrim: No, DC dicked him out of his own property, John K. style.
ArrowToTheKnee - 1/1/2012, 5:22 AM
Awww frick, why they gotta do it like that?
Helena - 1/1/2012, 5:51 AM
I can guarantee you 100% that that isn't related at all to the Watchmen prequel comics. Just look at those earrings, Spectre wouldn't wear Comedian's symbol, not after her mother was violated by him.

And those aren't anal beads, perverts. It's a plain regular bead hippie necklace that she beat out of some Woodstock gathering. Which also explains the drugs.

Bright colors making my head hurt. That, and my hangover. X(

Let's don't jump to conclusions just yet. This might just be a commissioned piece for a fan and someone just thought it would be cool if they could get it passed off as legit.

Also, it could very well be someone at DC testing the waters to see what "fanboys" think of the designs.

So until something official comes out I would be skeptical of everything.

SERIOUSLY WHAT THE [frick] THAT IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING I'VE EVER SEEN.

Seriously, oh God, no! That's Horrible! The movie did a good job at adapting the costume, stick with something like that. If this is her real costume I won't be buying this.

This is how this makes me feel:

@JohnArturo- you make sense. I just hope the writing is good and dc doesn't destroy the watchmen credibility in order to make money.
Xeetor - 1/1/2012, 7:36 AM
I cant wait to watch her square off against the evil Oliver Haddo. I mean Mordru. Shagadelic baby yeah!
RyanLantern77 - 1/1/2012, 8:19 AM

Cerebro - 1/1/2012, 9:39 AM

Ancar - 1/1/2012, 9:45 AM

No political here - it will be better that DC bury this shitte imediately. Watchmen-Babies are too much!!!
superbatspiderman - 1/1/2012, 10:24 AM
This is probably the worst idea in comic book history.

@sarahsatire haha love dead space, love that moment. About this picture though, you don't have to read it you know. But you probably will just because of the curious nature of the project... I know I will just to see how bad or good it is.. :P
JohnPaul - 1/1/2012, 11:02 AM
I'm laughing so hard right now, it's taking forever to type this. Not just the submitted piece, but the awesome response. jazzman, I love the bad cartoon. Priceless. I grew up in the 70's when there was so much wrong in the world of cartoons. That satire nails it. But sadly, maybe, the Amanda Conner art does as well.
sarahsatire - 1/1/2012, 11:20 AM
@grifter For real! One of the best horror games ever! And yeah... the curiosity is what keeps me reading.

Oh man, Alan Moore is going to shit a squirrel. He was pissed off that they made the movie, but this is a travesty. Watchmen was less a comic and more a piece of art and social commentary. There's NO WAY dc does this right...
BSingerFoxMen - 1/1/2012, 12:33 PM
Hey look at the bright side! Maybe this new series will be everything the original wasn't! Y'know, exciting, good, fun to read, not preachy, not a complete bore, not have history's dumbest ending, etc. Even the artwork in the original was boring! I say this might be the first time they've ever tried to capitalize on a "classic" and make it so much better. And who gives a rat [frick] what Alan Moore thinks? If his properties meant so much to him, he wouldn't have sold the rights! He has NO one to complain or bitch about but himself. He's also a totally overrated douche!
tron21full - 1/1/2012, 12:40 PM
I like it, But you got to admit, the character is ugly inthe comic Watchmen, you got to think, this is in the past, shes got to look younger. And her costume is awesome, better than the original. remember one thing thou, Watchmen was not Alans work from the start. It was given to him. And was followed by instructions given from DC Comics.
tron21full - 1/1/2012, 1:00 PM
I did observe the picture from what's on the ground, syringe, beads, and a war sign and I scrowled through the top. the only thing that does not make sence is the ear pendent. A Smily face? The Comedian? We did know that she seems to be into him during the meeting of the crimebusters. Was there more to the relationship before she even knew that he is the one who raped her mother and is her father?
tron21full - 1/1/2012, 1:05 PM
The last think to note, is the background, Hippie style art, will this story take place in the hippie days?
HavocPrime - 1/1/2012, 1:11 PM
Seriously, this is like writing a sequal to the Bible, theres some shit you just leave alone
