Not really a fan of the art but that cover has me interested
Grimfoe - 4/29/2012, 6:26 AM
That's CRAZY. The art is awesome. Like the stuff we (okay, maybe just I) grew up with.

Love it!

Looks pretty nice. It does have that classic style, and I miss that kind of comic book, lol.
chasesuperremey - 4/29/2012, 7:13 AM
This looks like my old commics kind of miss them will read this one just for fun.

Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema -- two of my favorite Marvel artists. I'll be picking this up.
jimoakley666 - 4/29/2012, 7:30 AM
That's a bit cack. The over-blown 'must-narrate-the-story-even-though-it's-illustrated' speech bubbles are right out of the Chris Claremont school of writing.
AmahlFarouk - 4/29/2012, 8:15 AM
Super old-school. Looks awesome.
Wildaniel - 4/29/2012, 8:16 AM
Avengers #7- #14? I think I have some of those, ill be getting this!
avengingson - 4/29/2012, 8:39 AM
I like that they brought in Sal Buscema for this. It doesn't get much more 'classic Marvel' than him...
mctrinket - 4/29/2012, 9:17 AM
Hulk seems far more articulate than I remembered.

When you do these first looks it would be nice if you put up the release date. You know, just don't halfass it
superotherside - 4/29/2012, 10:56 AM
Might get this one.

Never much of a Sal Buscema fan (I always preferred Herb Trimpe's Hulk), but I love the classic-style artwork.
bobevanz - 4/29/2012, 11:28 AM
I love old school art, beautiful! when does this start?
MGS - 4/29/2012, 12:07 PM
Love Frenz! His dramatic style of depiction reminds me of the way Kirby did it. Definitely a pickup!
GodzillaKart - 4/29/2012, 12:10 PM
Looks fun, and feels like a comic from the 80's.
paulyd3 - 4/29/2012, 6:57 PM
For Hulk 3 movie, I think hulk's old purple pants lookes totally outdated, his whole uniform needs to be updated to the 2010s' with a more armoured look ala dc's new 52. Also betty ross should be about 45 in the movie with betty's mon actually hotter than betty. Marvel really needs to get on board like DC has done with Jim lee revamping all the characters and uniforms becuse they have so sucked for over 80 years now. True loyal comic fans so hate the classic old style of uniforms i mean cum on ! Make mine dc - rulz, whoooo
niknik - 4/29/2012, 10:33 PM
Thats sarcasm I hope. Either that or you are severly retarded.
niknik - 4/29/2012, 10:35 PM
and yeah, I like the classic look thanks to classic artists Frenz and Buscema. Wish Marvel would do more of this with some of the better artists still around from that era. Starlin, Adams, Byrne, Perez.
paulyd3 - 4/29/2012, 10:46 PM
@nikinik ah yes true believer sarcasm it is. Ben reading comics since 72 and grew up on this style of art with Hulk. At least marvel respects the past in its films and comics. DC is so lost right now w/ the new re-imajing BS 52 and POS MOS I have stopped buying any DC comics. Make mine marvel (( no sarcasm here)
IronHood - 4/30/2012, 12:12 AM
If only the movie was like this. I wanted Hulk Vs Avengers Not Hulk only fighting Thor! In the movie he loves the Avengers. He saves Stark & teams up with them... sigh.
SCURVYDOG619 - 4/30/2012, 5:39 AM
Kinda wish Steve Rude were drawing this...
dnno1 - 4/30/2012, 6:05 AM
Buscema's style was a classic for the Hulk magazines. He was known for always showing the Hulk with a permanent frown and with overemphasized arms and legs.
ComicReader - 4/30/2012, 6:14 AM
looks pretty nice
niknik - 4/30/2012, 10:10 AM
@ paulyd3 - Yeah, I thought it was sarcasm, but around here you never can tell. Seems there's always some doofus looking to "update" iconic characters every other day with armor, helmets, and guns no matter who they are.
