Just yesterday, we brought you the news that
Marvel's The Avengers was expected to reach an impressive worldwide gross of $500 million by Sunday. Well, the latest analysis from
Deadline instead estimates a sum closer to $585M after the film is released in North America this Friday (where it's predicted to have a massive $160M opening) as well as in Russia and China. While some slightly more conservative estimates have those figures as being a little lower, the superhero ensemble made a jaw dropping $42.3M overseas yesterday, bringing its total through Tuesday to $260.5M.
