Well, I don't think any of us saw this coming! On the same day that the Government of Alberta classified the upcoming Skyfall teaser trailer (which will be attached to Men in Black 3 on May 25th) they have also classified a FOURTH trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man. It's worth noting that it's a different length to the one released earlier this month and unless it's just a slightly different cut of the trailer attached to Marvel's The Avengers, it would appear that Sony Pictures will attempt to boost the box office of Men in Black 3 by attaching a brand new trailer for their other big 2012 release.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.

blvdnoise - 5/10/2012, 5:39 PM
Hmmmmmmmm..
Knightrider - 5/10/2012, 5:41 PM
Interesting, however I more looking forward to seeing some Skyfall footage
VIKEME - 5/10/2012, 5:48 PM
Holy.... that's awesome!

I was already planning on seeing MIB3. This gives me even more reason to see it.
Knightrider - 5/10/2012, 5:50 PM
There is a whole lot of Spider - Bulge there, no wonder they shot this in 3D. haha
CaptainObvious - 5/10/2012, 5:51 PM
The last time a studio bombarded audiences with countless trailers and sneak peeks, we got Green Lantern.
TheDominicanBoy - 5/10/2012, 5:52 PM
NO COMMENT, DONT LIKE NEW SPIDER MAN
thingrock4 - 5/10/2012, 5:54 PM
LOOKS AWESOME!!!!
Ghostfire - 5/10/2012, 5:55 PM
They'll hit the web before the film comes out, so there's no need to spend my cash on MIB3.

I'm actually more excited for Skyfall but maybe I'll give this a chance.
Banner - 5/10/2012, 5:56 PM
too early to reboot a character, Toby Maguire is still Spiderman in my opinion!
superotherside - 5/10/2012, 5:56 PM
I actually prefer this type of marketing. I would rather watch several different trailers/tv spots than clips which ruin the movie.
marvel72 - 5/10/2012, 5:57 PM
i found this on youtube it sounds intresting.

DoomXfactor - 5/10/2012, 5:57 PM
I'm excited for this movie
GolfWangNGOD - 5/10/2012, 5:57 PM
@CaptianObvious The last time a studio bombarded audiences with trailers,tv spots, and BUTTLOADS of stills and sneak peaks, we got The Avengers. Look how that turned out.

machinejohnny99 - 5/10/2012, 5:59 PM
Can't wait to see it
DoomXfactor - 5/10/2012, 5:59 PM
Tobey was lame, good riddance!!!
Frogman - 5/10/2012, 5:59 PM
@Gaston, we saw a lot more of The Avengers before its release than we've seen of The Amazing Spider-Man and look how that turned out...
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 5/10/2012, 6:06 PM
@brazilianbatman uhhh.... perfect? It doesn't look a thing like the comic book and it's way too busy looking. I love Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man though.
DoomXfactor - 5/10/2012, 6:09 PM
@Ironman53-That spiderman poster is badass!
Batman27 - 5/10/2012, 6:12 PM
Good movie shit suit.
RocketMadnessBoss - 5/10/2012, 6:13 PM
Their gonna end up showing everything in these trailers. Never seen a studio so desperate to get this movie out. Then again, I'd be desperate too if I was facing bankruptcy.
DoomXfactor - 5/10/2012, 6:14 PM
I have a feeling Im going to love TASM and everybody is going to hate it cause they couldn't get over their childhood crush on Tobey lol
Viltrumite - 5/10/2012, 6:15 PM
This seems sort of like overkill...but I think it might only be a slight alteration on the previous trailer, as there were a few odd choices editing-wise.
NorrinRaddical - 5/10/2012, 6:18 PM
people are going to see MIB in the theaters?
sonofsamadams - 5/10/2012, 6:18 PM
Four trailers? Now I'm worried.
DoomXfactor - 5/10/2012, 6:20 PM
With Great Power...that shit gives me chills
BruceLeroy - 5/10/2012, 6:24 PM
Bad idea. The movie is going to get spoiled at this rate.
Ghostfire - 5/10/2012, 6:24 PM
@FriendlyJoShFest
I think you misunderstood my comment. What I meant was that I'm more excited for Skyfall than Spidey. Although, I might give TASM a chance. I could care less for MIB3.
XxSnakeProxX - 5/10/2012, 6:26 PM
Whyy are people looking to this as a sign of bad things to come? Many films do alot of marketing and sneak peaks. Its called smart marketing. Not to mention The Avengers did this, and we saw how great it was.
Wildaniel - 5/10/2012, 6:40 PM
Hard to believe theres gonna be another one, IDK maybe. Most likely there will be no more trailers. Just tv spots with new footage.

Anyways, are tickets being sold yet? I remember I bought my tickets for The Avengers WEEKS before it was released.

Gonna be a great Summer!
SmithWillSuffice - 5/10/2012, 6:45 PM
Isn't there supposed to be like a 4 minute preview on the premiere of America's Got Talent or something?
SmithWillSuffice - 5/10/2012, 6:57 PM
I think it has more to do with them trying give people a stronger sense of this movie, it's tone and how it differs from the previous Spider-Man movies. The trailers can't compete with The Avengers in sheer spectacle so their trying to hook people into the mystery so they want to see more.
Ashes2Phoenix - 5/10/2012, 7:00 PM
The Avengers had four trailers, not to mention the release of many clips from the film. This is completely fine if you ask me. Releasing one final trailer weeks before release. They are just amping up their marketing campaign. The month before The Avengers was released was flooded with marketing.
SuspenseSmith - 5/10/2012, 7:00 PM
Another one?
Ashes2Phoenix - 5/10/2012, 7:10 PM
@banekill77: Some of you guys are completely blowing things out of proportion. The suit has not been altered drastically. It doesn't, have the belt and has silver lining around the soles. Some of you guys act as if it is green with flowers on it. Also I don't think it hurts Spider-Man at all to be more gritty. There have been many different interpretations of the character in the comics, so why would the movies be any different?

SuspenseSmith - 5/10/2012, 7:10 PM
@BaneKill77

*yawn*

Whatever. Looks good. Quit your bitchin'
SuspenseSmith - 5/10/2012, 7:18 PM
Gritty does not equal dark.

Some of you really need to learn what grit means.

It doesn't necessarily mean it's full of blood, guts, and murder. It means it has that touch of "realism" to it. Although abnormal things go on, the characters are grounded. Thor was "gritty." Avengers was "gritty." Iron Man had grit. But none were any stretch of the imagination dark like The Dark Knight.

This is the same way.

Besides... Spider-Man does have dark undertones. Sure he has the wise cracking fun loving character, WHICH IS INTACT MORE THAN THE RAIMI FILMS from the looks of the trailers and clips. But at the same time, Spider-Man has had some rather deep, intense, dramatic, and devastating story arcs, LIKE THE DEATH OF THE STACY'S which will no doubt eventually happen.

The Black Costume, Harry Osborne's death, Venom and Carnage, the Sinister Six, Spider-Man No More, Death of Uncle Ben, Peter's parents... all very deep and emotional stuff there, full of intense themes.

Spider-Man's always been about desperation and overcoming the worst of challenges. Frankly, that gets a little darker at times.
Jollem - 5/10/2012, 7:31 PM
i heard there's gonna be a fifth trailer coming out that's attached to the Amazing Spider-Man movie:)
TheHitchhikingGhost - 5/10/2012, 8:07 PM
The Avengers had one teaser and one main trailer. If you count Super Bowl spot, that's three. But theatrically, two.
ibravosp5 - 5/10/2012, 8:07 PM
I would love too see another Awsome piece of footage but I can't handle watching too much of the movie before it comes out. especially during dancing with the stars 4 minute preview thing..... Too many spoilers..... And did anyone feel spoiled back in feb when they had a 10 minute preview?
TheHitchhikingGhost - 5/10/2012, 8:08 PM
I hope Spidey is good. Really pullin for it.
nowtheresaBATman - 5/10/2012, 8:14 PM
@antonio He has a mirror ball. Anyways you'd have to be an idiot to think this movie isn't going to be great.

I concluded after seeing trailer #3 that I had just seen something far cooler than all 3 Raimi movies combined.
DoomXfactor - 5/10/2012, 8:37 PM
@BaneKill77-Early 20's??? even worse, means you had an adult crush on Tobey lol i apologize. please don't report me again LOL
Anyway, Of course they made a lot of money, It's "Spider-man" Transformers 2 and 3 made a lot of money but they sucked.
oh and there's a reason it was rebooted as quickly as it was lol Try again
I hope Andrew Garfield isn't as squeeky and annoying as Tobey. Emma is way hotter then fugly ass Kirsten and I hope the Lizard doesn't appear in a Power Ranger suit like the Green Goblin lol

Lego - 5/10/2012, 9:06 PM
people argue about shit their not getting paid for?

suckers. ha!
Makiveli21 - 5/10/2012, 9:11 PM
raimis movies SUCKED! 1.green power ranger goblin (the suit sucked, dafoe was good tho) 2.emo crybaby dancing tobey (peter parker isnt a bitch) 3.kirsten snaggletooth dunst (mj is supposed to be a model, not an ugly waitress) 4.organic webshooters! (they took away peter parkers best weapon, his intellect!) 5.that 70s venom... nuff said.

Darkhawk8 - 5/10/2012, 9:13 PM
@ alx2125 totally agreed!!!! The only thing im worried about is the Lizard. Looks too goomba for me but im sure it will look fine on the big screen.
MarkV - 5/10/2012, 9:27 PM
I'm there opening day.

Oh wait....I'm there like, Saturday morning after, but still stoked!
DoomXfactor - 5/10/2012, 10:01 PM
@Makiveli21-I couldn't have said it better myself. In yo face Tobey lovers!!! lol
TheBatman50k - 5/10/2012, 11:41 PM
*sighs* I hope this isnt true, because if it is true then I am going to be really po'd. We dont need 4 trailers.
hueyfreeman - 5/11/2012, 12:07 AM
