So Mandarin, Coldblood, Firepower, and the Ten Rings are all in this?

I remember Firepower from Armour Wars! I always wondered if he'd ever get the movie treatment.

And yet we can't get the Sinister Six in a Spidey film.

I'm actually thinking Colblood and Killian aren't going to be villains in this, just new additions to the cast.

Even so there are a LOT of new characters in this movie.

I'm pretty sure Coldblood 7 is actually a good guy...

In Ironman the leader of the group the was holding Tony Stark for ransom had a ring and that group was part of the Ten Rings. Maybe each villain will have a ring and a group of there own and they will all work for The Mandarin.

Another villain in a metal suit? *yawn*, I was tired of it halfway through Ironman 2.

Good work having a postage stamp sized picture of the actor.

He's probably a villain used to just open the movie with and introduce Iron Man? He could also be a henchman for the Mandarin along with Coldblood. Those two villains are quite odd choices but they could make for some fun fight scenes.

Not liking the viallian choices. Weren't the Hammer drones kind of like the Firepower squad. And if it's Jack Taggart, then isn't that just like the last two films? Iron Man fights a bigger silver-coloured version of himself?

I sense Spider-Man 3!

Also it looks like this movie is going to have lots of villains, 3 at least but probably 5.

Ugh, I hope his appearance is EXTREMELY brief. Getting a bit redundant seeing Stark face off against yet another villain in an armored suit.

A brief scene with a b-class villain is awesome. Kind of one step up from a mere easter egg.

You know, next to nothing is officially known about this movie, and this article even flat out says this character will have a minor rolw, yet people complain about an armored villain like he's going to be the big bad or something.

sounds like they're trying to do a sort of armour wars story.

He's probably fighting multiple villains, because Mallen, the domestic terrorist from the comics is just one regular guy. He had no distinct look to him. he just had his powers. The Marvel movies are known for having very comic book like villains. So it will probably be several villains who are a little more familiar to Iron Man fans. I'm guessing that in the MCU, these bad guys will get powers from the extremis Virus, which Ben Kingsley's Mandarin character will be responsible somehow for supplying it.

i cant see them using the extremis storyline what with all the nano bots and scar tissue comas involved if they are going in the direction of madarin ten rings hammer coldblood firepower crimson dynamo etc...

mandarin sends his ten rings henchmen etc. all while tony gets a new computer integrated body ala extremis playing off of how he created new element in iron man 2?
any hints of hammer industries or war machine in this?

I wish people would stop referring to Coldblood as a villain.. COLDBLOOD IS NOT A VILLAIN PEOPLE!! He is a mercenary yes, but a heroic one..

Okay, I think we've had enough guys in armored suits for iron man to fight. Why not just make him fight the guy from extremis? Or the mandarin?

Lol, all this hate for multiple villians. Iron Man 3 will be BADASS! The story line will somehow feature Tony building his outer-space suit after nearly dying in space in the Avengers. I can't wait! Also, War Machine!

So IM3 will have three villains now? I don't want IM3 ending up being another Spider-Man 3.

At least, they said he would a minor villain though.

@cmay I really hope not. This movie has the potential to be the best Iron Man movie yet.
