Ray Winstone Offered The Role Of "Noah's Nemesis" In Darren Aronofsky's NOAH

Who knew that Noah had a nemesis?! Well, following the news that Liev Schreiber was in talks to face off against Russell Crowe's Noah in Darren Aronofsky's biblical epic, it now appears as if Ray Winstone will nab the role.

After starring as one of the dwarves in Snow White and the Huntsman earlier this month, British actor and well-known tough guy Ray Winstone has been offered the role of Noah's nemesis in Darren Aronofsky's (The Wrestler, Black Swan) biblical epic Noah. Despite the director looking at several different actors including former Batman Val Kilmer, Deadline reports that Winstone is now very close to a deal which they are expecting WILL work out. With a cast which includes Russell Crowe, Logan Lerman and Emma Watson, Noah's wife is now the only major role left to be cast. Hulk's Jennifer Connelly is thought to be in talks.

He could play a lead scoffer constantly denying the impending doom.

I guess it's ok to take liberties with the story if the source material is 4000 yr old fiction.

Who will be the voice of the Raven and who will be the voice of the Dove? I hear Richard Simmons and Nic Cage are available.

In the ancient days, The Bible and its superheroes were the refined culmination of centuries of attempts at successful Superhero creations. Man's first non survival organized acts was to create superheroes.
Every culture had their own but the Superheoes or Super-Hebrews were the best, or had some of the best material.
SuperHebrews became the FIRST MARVEL COMICS.
Then we had the Greek Gods. They had amazing powers but their stories were lofty and took place in the clouds while the SuperHebrews were more like "Nolanized" in the real world.
The Greek Gods were the FIRST DC comics-heroes with great powers but a little detached from the real world as the SuperHebrews lived in it.
I'm sure in those days the Bible fans called the Greek fans "Homerites" or "Greekites" and the Greek Fanboys called the Bible Fanboys "Israelites" a name that sticks to this day!!!! And possible proof of the 1st FANBOY NAMECALLING WAR SAGA!
I wish a Kevin Smith type would do a film about the history of Superhero Fanboys and their ongoing battle for the Superiority of their favorite Heroes!

Wouldnt mind Winstone. Great actor. I would have prefered Schreiber thou.

This is a post apocalyptic take of Noah. Not the basic Noah story. Its based on a graphic novel.

The Plot:
It was a world without hope, a world with no rain and no crops, dominated by warlords and their barbarian hordes. In this cruel world, Noah was a good man. Seasoned fighter, mage and healer but he only wanted peace for him and his family. Yet every night, Noah was beset by visions of an endless flood, symbolizing the destruction of all life. Gradually he began to understand the message sent him by the Creator. He had decided to punish the men and kill them until the last. But he gave Noah a last chance to preserve life on Earth.
