I wonder if Connors returns, if he will be jailed with the murder of his son?
SamHell - 6/22/2012, 8:14 AM
good lookin lizard right there
Ancar - 6/22/2012, 8:16 AM
The first cover is too violent for a Spider-Man comic - unnecessary and gratuitious!
SamHell - 6/22/2012, 8:19 AM
but why does the lizard have the spines on top of his head in that 1st pic but not in the other pics
TheMyth - 6/22/2012, 8:19 AM
Ancar, shut up pussy
TheGuillotine - 6/22/2012, 8:20 AM
Makes me wanna start collecting again.
TheGuillotine - 6/22/2012, 8:21 AM
I agree with Ancar, it doesn't fit a Spidey book, even though I think the illustration itself is extremely well done.
rebellion - 6/22/2012, 8:23 AM
two filler issues to help promote the movie.
comicb00kguy - 6/22/2012, 8:26 AM
uh oh... looks like ole Spidey is pissed. He can lay one helluva beatdown when he gets mad enough.

Okay, I missed something here- when did the Lizard murder Billy Connors?
Dedpool - 6/22/2012, 8:29 AM
Aww man now i gotta go back and find which arc that he killed Billy in!! Spidey is back! This last run has been amazing, pun inteded!
jimoakley666 - 6/22/2012, 8:29 AM
Hmm. Wonder why they chose to bring back Lizard at this particular time?
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 6/22/2012, 8:37 AM
I wonder what happened with J. Scott Campbell doing art for that new Spider-Man book a few years back?He should be doing art duties for the Amazing Spider-Man.I've loved his art ever since Gen13.
JonathaNisMagnuM - 6/22/2012, 8:37 AM
I hate how in the 2nd cover they made The Lizard look anorexically thin. No Muscle drawn at all, WHACK! Art looks good though
MarvelousMarty - 6/22/2012, 8:42 AM
Love the artwork.
Sparrowsabre7 - 6/22/2012, 8:43 AM
Holy **** Lizard ate his own son? This is the first I've heard of it... woah. If COnnors ever comes back, he will almost certainly kill himself, how could he live with that?
ManofSteel91 - 6/22/2012, 8:46 AM
Now that's how the lizard should look like in the movie the movie lizard looks lame as hell.
hellfire - 6/22/2012, 8:54 AM
Out of curiosity how many times has Connors transformed himself into the Lizard cause I'm thinking maybe it's about time he tries a different formula that doesn't consist of reptilian genetics. I know, I know, it's the whole growing his arm back, but surely there must be another way.
Wetboy40 - 6/22/2012, 9:04 AM
Billy Connor's dies by Lizard, In The Amazing Spider-Man #630 through #633, the story is titled "Shed".
write33 - 6/22/2012, 9:31 AM
he ate his own kid???
i am so glad i don't buy comics anymore, that's gratuitous shock-factor story telling that I won't support with my dollars. ........not to be too insulting but that reads more like something DC would do.. they love knocking off kids there!..anybody seen Red Arrow's daughter?

and they killed off Silver Sable? boo. depressing times.
steelo - 6/22/2012, 9:53 AM
Morbius looks tight!
GreyChaos13Zero - 6/22/2012, 10:35 AM
Lizard looks malnourished in that second cover, nice art tho?)

TheAmazingChrisReeve63 - 6/22/2012, 11:26 AM
Definitely loving the art, here. Gotta love Spidey comics. :)
TheAmazingChrisReeve63 - 6/22/2012, 11:27 AM
@GreyChaos13Zero - LoL, yeah, he pretty much does. :P
mctrinket - 6/22/2012, 12:32 PM
Why didn't they make the movie Lizard look like that instead of a friggin' goofy goomba?
MadJakHatesSpinoffs - 6/22/2012, 12:55 PM
Comic looks good. Spider-Man has always been my favorite superhero (you can probably guess that from my profile pic) and the Lizard was always one of my favorite villains (I've always liked reptiles). From the little I've read, it looks to be a pretty dark and gritty comic. Spider-Man may not be as dark of a character as Batman, but he still has had his share of dark storylines (Torment, Clone Saga, the Other). I like this version of the Lizard much better than the movie version, but this one below is my personal favorite.

Spider-man=BOSS

:D
signothetimez - 6/22/2012, 3:49 PM
MadJakHatesSpinoffs,I just bought that comic at my local shop for a buck! Small world.

Anyway, Lizard is a great villain and I hope he is done justice, since Doc Ock is the only villain on screen I have thoroughly enjoyed in a Spidey movie! Can't believe it's only what, ten days away?
TheAmazingAvenger - 6/22/2012, 6:22 PM
When Parker said that "Cause as of today... Everything changes!" does that mean that our friendly neighbor Spidey is gonna be killing baddies now? :3
Moakynubs - 6/22/2012, 8:36 PM
@TheAmazingAvenger

No.
GUNSMITH - 6/23/2012, 2:45 AM

-- he eats his son in half while screaming at his reptile brain in his own head until he literally eats through and shreds his narration boxes as his consciousness completely shuts down, unable to deal with the horror of watching himself eat his own son.

comic looks awesome kinda disturbing how he ate his son though wow!shows how much the lizard has taken over connors!
Richardness - 6/23/2012, 4:59 AM
Oh hey look...a snout AND a lab coat, what a shocker that those would show up ON THE LIZARD EVERY TIME
MadJakHatesSpinoffs - 6/24/2012, 7:42 AM
@signofthetimez, yes, Web of Spider-Man 110-111 was a great Lizard storyline and is my personal favorite drawing of him. The movie Lizard looks more like Killer Croc.
signothetimez - 6/24/2012, 12:52 PM
@MadJakHatesSpinoffs Yeah man that version looks great. I'll have to pick up 110 soon. I still can't stand the look of Lizard in TASM. Hopefully I'll warm up to him when I see the actual film, but yeah I'll definitely be there release day! :)
comicb00kguy - 6/25/2012, 12:52 PM
