This is so stupid, all this junk going on nowadays in comics. Just make him Clark Kent and have him save the day like he used to. He's Superman, that's all. I hope DC doesn't lose their way.
Knightrider - 7/1/2012, 6:40 PM
Yep Morrison can be a tad crazy, but I am hoping there is just someone DC has hired for one role and one role only, which is: To sit next to Grant Morrison when he is writing and whenever Morrison saids anything like "Now Batman can bend reality, while Superman sings beautiful music" this person looks him square in the eye and saids "Too far"

In the last issue, the scene where Supe's is discussing with the league why they don't stop wars and famine was fantastic, and some of the moments in the first arc were spot on Superman.

He just needs to be wrangled in sometimes when he goes overboard.
Knightrider - 7/1/2012, 6:46 PM
@SteveRogersSon Well I think of Morrison as being like a car, who almost needs taking off the gas when he reaches the anywhere near maximum revs. It just seems to me he starts off with a solid story, and then as he gets into it, just gets carried away and goes crazy, so someone in place who just keeps his feet to the ground would be great.
DioFoRio - 7/1/2012, 6:47 PM
@itbegins....seriously? Final crisis ended that way?
DioFoRio - 7/1/2012, 6:47 PM
@josh the pics wont enlarge : (
Knightrider - 7/1/2012, 6:55 PM
@SteveRogersSon Well if I am honest, I have never liked Robin, never liked him as a character, the closet I have gotten is Tim Drake, but only the interpretations where he looks more like an 18 to 21 year old rather than a 10 year old.

Although I like Nightwing as a character.

So in short the reason I have never liked Robin, is Batman for me has that drive and will to do what he does because of circumstance, it isn't the training and the wealth, that make Batman it is Bruce Wayne's utter obsession to stop what happened to him to happen to someone else, and what makes that tragic is it is a war he cannot win. So when Batman Inc was announced I thought "No, you got it wrong" You lose what makes a lot of the character when you basically say Batman is Batman because of Money and Training rather than the above.

A NEW secret identity. Wasn't this DCnU Coke supposed to bring fresh ideas to the mix? YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN
rbfn04 - 7/1/2012, 7:35 PM
Steve didn't they do the whole "Clark Kent is dead" bit already?
angus666 - 7/1/2012, 7:52 PM
@SteveRogersSon True. I guess it's because I don't follow comics as closely as I used to that I don't understand this stuff as much.
BenderDickCumPatch - 7/1/2012, 7:54 PM
This is hilarious.

What's wrong with the links? Every time I click on a page to view it, it takes me to a search page.
oldnoname - 7/1/2012, 8:33 PM
Ya I don't think the links are working...
LAXtremest - 7/1/2012, 8:42 PM
I'm afraid I know nothing of the re-launch. Can someone please tell me: Superman has an armored suit? Why?
xstryker - 7/1/2012, 9:22 PM
Morrison's best work is Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On Serious Earth. "In dreams I walk with you..."
"Enjoy yourself out there... in the asylum."
CaptainAmerica1 - 7/1/2012, 9:33 PM
What is with the ULTRA Gay looking outfit???? Major fail!!!
thewolfx - 7/1/2012, 9:48 PM
the point is you morons dont understand is

superman is [frick]in SUPER

why does he need armor ?? it would be more cool if he wore a soft material that was indestructable at the same time, idk sumn like a ALIEN would have.

the excuses for an armored superman never hold up.

by the way a depowered superman isnt any more interesting then a overpowered one.
MJPETTY7 - 7/1/2012, 9:51 PM
I'll be completely honest, this "new identity" thing looks interesting to me and I may pick this up (which means I probably will... lol). Wonder what Batman has to do with it...

Anyway, about the armor stuff... I do think it's stupid if I'm completely honest. Superman is a character that is suppose to be "outside of time and the latest fad" as Alex Ross has said, however, I will admit, the New 52 suit looks really cool (if it weren't armor) and I enjoy the "New 52" like designs that they gave Clark in Smallville Season 11 and Supes in Man of Steel to follow this reboot. Those are pretty sweet! Also, the thing the N52 suit does when he turns into Superman by changing into the suit is cool. However, I'm still against the armor thing.

Also, I do read the New 52 Superman comics (or, I try I mean) and most of them, to be brutally honest, suck. I mean, Superman has changed writers 3 times in 10 issues (including issue 0 coming this summer) and they wont get rid of Morrison because he's to popular, even though his stories in Action don't make sense (introducing Steel in the origin, Brainiac as "the Internet", the alternate Superman for like 2 or 3 issues, etc.). So, I respect Morrison for his work on JLA and All-Star Superman, and (very few) Batman stories, but this Superman stuff has gotten put of hand.

Thanks for listening/reading. I'm not a hater, I just want to voice my opinion. Thank you.
MJPETTY7 - 7/1/2012, 10:11 PM
I'm sorry this bickering like children is the most pathetic thing I have ever seen. lol What are you guys like 12? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I don't care who started it, just finish it.
MJPETTY7 - 7/1/2012, 10:12 PM
I'm going to go read Superman Beyond #4 now...
tripttwe - 7/1/2012, 10:14 PM
Guys, guys, guys- You both are super-cool, dudes. Now settle down while I warm up some milk and fix the bottles. Can I see more pics of this costume please???
MJPETTY7 - 7/1/2012, 10:15 PM
@SaintSpidey67Re Don't worry bud, I wasn't talking to you lol
DioFoRio - 7/1/2012, 10:18 PM
@itbegins...wow. lame.
LAXtremest - 7/1/2012, 10:20 PM
Im not bitching about anything. I was just curious because last I heard Superman had just about every power ever thought of and didn't need armor. I do not know what has changed since the re-launch. Thanks for the answer though friend :)
MJPETTY7 - 7/1/2012, 10:22 PM
@PatientZero Dude, I don't pretend to be tough, I just want you and that other guy to realize how childish this all is. Honestly, it's stupid and at the end of the day, you two aren't gonna change either of each other's opinions. It's the Internet, if he wants to troll, let him. If we wants to insult you, let him. WHO THE HELL CARES!?!? It doesn't stop your real life from being better or worse, so just ignore it. I'd say the same to the other guy, but I know he won't listen at all, you I think will.
MJPETTY7 - 7/1/2012, 10:24 PM
@PatientZero Sorry bout my last comment man, thought you we're talking to me with that one. lol
Jollem - 7/1/2012, 10:25 PM
son of a bitchin' Josh Wilding and his unwavering dc bias :)
MJPETTY7 - 7/1/2012, 10:25 PM
@PatientZero Then just ignore him, I do. Trust me, it's not worth your time or effort, I know plenty of those kind of people, and I just ignore them. They may not go away, but it's all you can do.
pepe - 7/1/2012, 10:50 PM
I´ve got a man-crush on Grif.
Jollem - 7/1/2012, 10:57 PM
@PePe - he's the bear you love to hate :)
jimoakley666 - 7/2/2012, 12:46 AM
Morrison is brilliant. One of the best writers in the industry. THE best in my opinion. He's got more imagination in his shriveled hair follicles than most comic writers do in their entire head..
thalidomide - 7/2/2012, 5:21 AM
this is interesting. I might pick this up.
Shadowelfz - 7/2/2012, 7:24 AM
Well, lets see. All Star Superman was complete trash. Morrisons new X Men run was complete trash. Final Crisis was utter trash. Batman and Time was trash. Batman Incorporated or whatever that garbage is called is trash. Damian Wayne is the biggest douche bag character in comics and his run on action comics started off well enough but, as time repeats itself, became complete and utter trash.

Therefore there is absolutely no reason to believe this will be anything other than pure trash. Im a huge superman fan so I will at least give it a try but definately not holding my breath.
hope420 - 7/2/2012, 10:45 AM
I want to invite everyone to my house to smoke a bowl and relax!
Shadowelfz - 7/2/2012, 11:42 AM
Pigvalley01- Basis of my examples? You do not know my IQ so you cannot make an assessment of my intelligence, especially based off of a paragraph I wrote. I have a different opinion so that makes me an idiot? Whatever. I'm glad I didn't have to read your long-winded reply based soley on a persons 'opinion'. If that is how you judge people than you wont get a long very well with your fellow human beings. Also spell my name right if you want to act like your more intelligent.

Pathetic.

Patient Zero- You initiated the bitch off with SteveRogers so you cant play the victim and say he should stop responding to you. Obviously you dont know what the word Hypocrite means otherwise you would have seen your picture in the dictionary next to it.

Jimoakley666- Cheers mate. I cannot disagree with you more but you've always shown yourself to have a fair-minded opinion on things on this site so to each their own.
druzod2501 - 7/3/2012, 8:41 AM
I don't get why people are questioning Superman wearing armor now. For most of the character's history his suit was just as indestructable as his skin, yet no one questioned the redundancy behind that.

Now when they've scaled back the level of his invulnerability, and changed the suit from being alien indestructable cloth, to actual protective armor, it confounds everyone?!?! a little thought goes a long way
jimoakley666 - 7/4/2012, 11:08 AM
@Shadowelfz - Cheers.
