COMICS: RED HULK Becomes RED SHE HULK This October

It's not yet clear what this will mean for the Red Hulk (who recently joined the Avengers and has become something of a fan-favourite character), but his solo title is set to be renamed with Betty Ross' Red She Hulk taking over as of October's #58.

Red Hulk (or "Rulk" as he's sometimes referred to by fans) didn't start off as the most popular of characters, but ol' General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross has since made quite an impact with his own solo series and roles in both Avengers and Avenging Spider-Man. In some ways, he's actually taken the place of the original Green Skinned Goliath, with major roles in the likes of Avengers Vs. X-Men. As the upcoming Marvel NOW! relaunch draws closer, it looks as if the publishers may be getting ready to take him out of the spotlight. This October, Hulk becomes Red She Hulk as of #58. The series will be written by Jeff Parker with art from Carlo Pagulayan on art. According to reports from the "Marvel's Next Big Thing" panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, "Red She Hulk (Betty Ross) will be on a mission for an as-yet-unrevealed organization that puts her at odds with the rest of the Marvel universe." Fan favorite? Since when? Ive heard hes been written as a better character than when he first debuted, but I hated Rulk and stopped buying those Hulk issues one I saw him punch out Uatu

Not a Red Hulk fan. Would've made a great one shot, a la "What If", but laaame as a mainstream character. Even dumber to make Betty a red She Hulk. Can we just have maybe a 365 day stretch where things are status-f$ckin'-quo in ANYBODY'S comic universe?!

idk why Marvel wants the heroes supporting cast to become heroes as well (Flash=Venom, Betty Ross=Red She Hulk, Pepper=Rescue)

When they started the Red Hulk, the mystery was cool. Him as a Villain, Cool, Red Hulk as a Hero????? no. If any character should have been killed off it should have been him.

I dont like the Red Hulks. It takes away from the Green Hulks.

Can someone please tell me why Red She Hulk (Betty) and Green Hulk (Bruce) aren't a couple? Haven't read Hulk since Peter David left.

Marvel no one gives a damn about Betty Ross and the Red She Hulk. We are not going to buy this comic to read Betty deal with her vagina issues.

You have a perfectly functional She Hulk that we actually like.

The truth is Marvel is trying to force this character on us so they can sale their Hulk Agents of Smash series.

Rulk should be the strongest muthaphucka in the MU, how he handled every character on Loeb's run. I'm not sure if they depowered him in that last 40 issues or whatever but he should be handling the Phoenix Five also.

I think the explanation is that his facial hair (including eyebrows) doesn't grow as his face expands, so it seems to recede into his face.

The stash...perhaps because his face and head multiply in size and shape his facial hair spreads out or is pulled back into the folicle....thats alot of stash though huh?...yeah i dont know either.

red hulk is a great character and fitting end to the thunderbolt ross story if they kill him off now they will only bring thunderbolt back in some other lame way. they should improve the artwork in his solo title but im happy with his other plot lines. i will give red she hulk a try

I have collected this series from issue one, there were some times early on when I thought about dropping the title but the character seems to have found niche now. I cannot see me continuing on with Betty Ross (Red She Hulk)I will give it a few issues most likely but the red she hulk cameos in the Hulk series have been some of my least favorite parts.
