X-2 Star Kelly Hu To Play "China White" In ARROW

At today's Arrow panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that Kelly Hu (Lady Deathstrike, X-2) will play the villainous "China White" in the upcoming CW series. Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) also speculates on how long the show might run for.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that producers Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutte told fans at the Arrow panel earlier today that Kelly Hu has signed up to play China White in the CW series. The villainess was first introduced in Green Arrow: Year One, and will play a similar role in the television series as she did in the comic books (a drug cartel leader who Oliver Queen meets during his time marooned on a desert island). The pilot episode has been met with a mostly positive response following a screening on Wednesday, and star Stephen Amell feels confident that the show may have a run equal to that of Smallville. "If all goes well, we'll be working for the next decade," he told cheering fans at the convention.

Love me some Hu! Does sound like this show is going to be better than I originally thought, based on the response that it has been getting from people who have seen it.

I agree she's so beautiful, everytime i see her in movies I just droll. First time I saw her in scorpion king, I wanted to be the rock and just get my chance with her on set.

@Josh I'm digging your style on the site man. You do a good job. I never complained but this time I have to. You have to do Miss Hu justice and give a better thumbnail. It may be more than me than anybody but I couldn't recognize her. Or I didn't until I saw all of the pics in the comments. Sorry for nitpicking but hey, Kobe recently told Jordan he could take him in a game so yeah. Thanks for the article. Keep it out. Looking forward to your review for TDKR

Kelly Hu looks 10 times hotter than the ladies they picked for roles in The Wolverine movie.
I wish she would make a movie with a hard R rating & show off that great body in the flesh.
I will watch Arrow for sure..maybe he will give her the shaft. Get it? Shaft of an arrow and..okay I suck.

@thewonderer- Grif is a man who sticks to his principles. I respect him for that. I highly doubt he would suddenly be on board for tdkr as you claimed.

I would've loved her to play a bigger character like Lady Shiva or something!
BUT I'm glad she's on the show.

She was born to play a villain.
Even at 44, Kelly Hu is still up there with the most sexiest women on film and TV.

I hope it becomes a big recurring role! with lots of episodes.

Hot, but I'm gonna pass on this. Seriously, I feel bad for the hard core DC fans... Their great characters get shoddy television treatments on the CW...
