COMICS: Nick Fury Has His Eye On Nova In Updated MARVEL NOW! POINT ONE Teaser

After yesterday's Point One teaser revealed a dossier featuring Cable, an updated version reveals that Nick Fury Jr. (a.k.a. Marcus Johnson) is also keeping tabs on the new Nova, meaning the character will be one of five featured in this introduction to Marvel NOW!

Thanks to Newsarama, we have an updated Marvel Now! Point One #1 teaser which reveals that the new Nick Fury will also be keeping his eye on the new Nova (Sam Alexander) in the introduction to the new status quo of the Marvel Universe. Below is the teaser released yesterday (featuring Cable) and common sense says that we should expect to see the identities of the rest revealed tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. Who do you think will be featured in the other three? Who would you LIKE to see? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

it's got all of the new titles I bet. Cap, Nova, GotG, etc. I bet Cable is part of the Uncanny Avengers or something.

Plus, I really want to know how Thanos and Star-Lord got out of the Cancer-verse at the end of he Thanos Imperative. Apparently, Nova got out somehow, too.

The other 3 must be part of the Marvel Now teaser image. So the 5 char must be:

- Cable: A guy from the future/have the techno virus.

- Nova: A guy who knows and dwells in other galaxies.

- Jean Grey: From the past/conection with the phoenix force.

- Thor: Have acces to the 9 realms/access to a powerful cosmic power (a treasure from Asgard perhaps).

- Hulk: Don't know exactly how he fits but it should have something to do with his technological armor and the presence of Bruce Banner.

This whole Nova thing is a prime example of why most comic characters can never stay dead due to the fans opposition. Fans will bitch and moan and completely reject any new character that tries to take the place of the dead character.

Blue Beetle is another example of this happening. You still have Ted Kord fans whining about Jaime Reyes and it's been years since he died.

well, they a bringing back star-lord...and i understand that's for the movie.

and if star-lord is getting out of the cancerverse...then rider has to be getting out himself...along with thanos.

@twinkfist Well Star-lord along with the Guardians of the Galaxy are in the current Avengers Assemble story arc, but i'm not quite sure if that story arc is taking place in the past or present

i didn't see that about them being past or present...thank you for giving me the heads up on that one.

still, if they are making the GOTG movie...i would assume they would be pushing GOTG in the comics hard-core very soon.

plus, i'm still convince that the concept art was showing the nova corp helmet symbol in the background.

This point one Nova is so [frick]ing lame...another idiotic attempt by Marvel to turn him into a kid/teen favorite when the rest of us who GREW up with Rich Rider absolutely love what DnA did, taking him from low-confidence teen angst wannabe into one of Marvel's most endearing and powerful characters. Rider was awesome. BRING HIM BACK.

I'm rapidly losing interest in Marvel. I ignore the Ultimate univere entirely, but now that the movies are successful, they're making the 616 universe to match the aspects the films took from the Ultimates. Like Nick Jr. here. Who cares if he's black...It's nothing more than a gimmick to bring in new readers, and to give them something to relate to the films. Bring back the original, REAL, Nick Fury!!

Nova is Sam Alexander? Just like on the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon? Is Marvel trying to merge all their universes? Richard Rider FTW!

these are the worst teasers ever. whats the damned point?

the .1 book is mostly supposed to set up important stories correct? so are these pics just saying: these people (who were featured in the who's who of marvel now! teaser, the teaser that shows whos important in now!) are important? cuz we know. it was stated in the last teaser.

is it saying its important to fake fury? cuz... i don't really care about him yet.

soooooo, the next envelopes will just be people we already know to keep an eye on? ..... whats the goddamned point?

lol, just re-read the article, in case you didn't it just shows whos in that issue, which is equally pointless.

people will get this book, or they won't. id bet most people that get it, would buy the book even if the photos were never revealed.

Am I the only one not digging these costume changes? They all seem to be taking steps back with these costumes. Nova looked so much cooler in costume before this.

Ultimate Spider-Man fans can rejoice, the Sam Alexander Nova from the cartoon is the new Nova in the comics introduced in AvX.

Not a fan of Sam Alexander so far since his only real presence has been on Ultimate Spider-Man and not in the comics where it actually matters.
