As annoying as the Clone Saga was at certain points, It has the best variant cover. All are well done but that Clone cover is great.
Moakynubs - 7/30/2012, 2:43 PM

CaptainObvious - 7/30/2012, 2:49 PM
The 2nd one gave me goosebumps. Watching that on-screen is going to be emotional.
antman73 - 7/30/2012, 2:50 PM

Gwen Cover, Symbiote Cover and, Clone cover. They remind me of when Amazing Spider-man was this world you could just escape to. And when Spidey's adventures were [frick]ing crazy. Shit man. Big ups to the artist. I usually don't collect. But I will be trying to get these.
BIGBMH - 7/30/2012, 2:58 PM
All pretty cool.
GoILL - 7/30/2012, 3:08 PM
These are pretty dope.
jimoakley666 - 7/30/2012, 3:11 PM
They are all beautiful. Love Marcos Martin's work. Check out his take on Doctor Strange (The Oath). Some beautiful work in those pages.
MatchesMalone1989 - 7/30/2012, 3:15 PM
I look at the Gwen cover and it reminds of one of Spidey's darkest moments. it's like he was trying to reason with them. It felt like he was gonna die. And his thoughts were Gwen. And They were delighted to beat him to death. Civil War. The Last Great Marvel Story.

i guess getting married to Mary Jane wasn't a big part of his history...

oh wait, that didn't happen! stupid me!
Spidey31 - 7/30/2012, 3:23 PM
I don't read comics but if marvel reboots and starts over with DC I might pick up some issues. Hey can you subscribe to get comics in the mail?
JDUKE25 - 7/30/2012, 3:35 PM
Loving the art
AlSimmons - 7/30/2012, 3:57 PM
They're very reminiscent of Tim Sale's art, but without the ink wash.
Pauul - 7/30/2012, 4:27 PM
Clones!

I'm glad that how in the last few years, Marvel has really embraced the Clone Saga.

Yeah, it was far from perfect, but it was such a big piece of Spider-Man's history that it deserves to be acknowledged.
VIRILEMAN - 7/30/2012, 4:47 PM
Looks like Tim Sale! Which is great. I'd love to get posters of those.
DioFoRio - 7/30/2012, 5:36 PM
wow....another Grif imitator....how original
RexDartEskimoSpy - 7/30/2012, 6:23 PM
Posters please.

MGS - 7/30/2012, 8:19 PM
Sorry, but Spidey is not an Avenger in my mind. He's no better than just a background character throwing quips here and there. He has been and always work better as a solo character.
thewolfx - 7/30/2012, 9:26 PM
spiderman is the shit!!!!!!!!!!!!
breakUbatman - 7/30/2012, 10:56 PM
@ CaptainObvious

In your opinion do you think the Death of Gwen Stacy will have the same impact or will it be seen as Rachel Dawes ripoff?

VIRILEMAN - 7/30/2012, 11:07 PM
I think there are enough comic fans around the world to set people straight if anyone thought Spider-Man was ripping off Batman by killing the main love interest. I think when they do kill her people are going to learn that Batman in fact ripped off Spider-Man. Everyone is going to be talking about it, and critics TYPICALLY do their homework.
VIRILEMAN - 7/30/2012, 11:10 PM
Not to mention them killing off the main love interest WILL have a bigger emotional impact because 1. Spider-Man isn't normally dark. So the death of the female lead will seem that much darker. And 2. Emma Stone is playing Gwen in TASM2. I think people had some disconnect with the character because she was played by someone different in TDK.
musashi - 7/31/2012, 1:52 AM
Awesome covers. I approve! Two thumbs way up!
doombat - 7/31/2012, 1:56 AM
cool
breakUbatman - 7/31/2012, 3:55 AM
@Virileman

If only there were enough fans to set people straight about John Carter.

Concerning Spidey not usually being dark, we've already seen the loss of his parents, death of Uncle Ben and Captain Stacey all in one movie. If they really want an impact they should lighten up in the sequel.
comicb00kguy - 7/31/2012, 6:26 AM
These are some attractive variant covers. So will they be readily available at cover price, or is this going to be a '90s thing where these cost more?
VIRILEMAN - 7/31/2012, 9:00 AM
@breakUbatman

I actually agree. I think they should save her death for the third film. Have a more light hearted film in the middle.
DioFoRio - 7/31/2012, 9:02 AM
@Griffy...I love your originality
DioFoRio - 7/31/2012, 9:04 AM
think you might have been fibbing there bud...unless that's your boyfriends dick ; )
Ancar - 7/31/2012, 11:59 AM
And the lost of his baby?

And the leave of Mary Jane?

And Aunt May discover of his double life?

And the Iron-Spider?

And the Civil War's revelation of his identity?

Too many things left aside.
CaptainObvious - 8/1/2012, 10:13 AM
@breakUbatman- To be honest, I'm still not entirely sure Gwen will die in this trilogy. The only reason she was killed off in the comics is because Marvel didn't know what to do with her anymore. So unless Webb and co. can't think of more for Gwen to do, she may survive the trilogy.

On another note, I'm surprised the 2000's cover didn't mention "One More Day." Probably because Marvel is aware fans are still angry about that.
comicb00kguy - 8/1/2012, 1:01 PM
SteveRogersSon: These would make a sweet set of posters. I'd like them a bit smaller so I've got something to hang up in my cube at work.
