This was far from an easy question. Batman Begins told the definitive origin story of Batman. The Dark Knight brought us Heath Ledger's Oscar winning performance as The Joker. The Dark Knight Rises was an epic conclusion to the trilogy which finished Christopher Nolan's take on the Caped Crusader in true style. Over the course of three films, we followed Bruce Wayne's incredible journey, while also being introduced to many of the greatest Batman supporting characters and villains. Throw in some of the best actors in the business, incredible action and special effects, as well as a rousing theme courtesy of composer Hans Zimmer, and there can be no doubting the fact that The Dark Knight Trilogy will go down as one of the greatest ever. However, it seems as if the second instalment in the trilogy has remained the favourite among the majority of you, despite the recent release of The Dark Knight Rises. Here are the results in full...

40oz - 7/31/2012, 5:23 AM
They were all great.
NeoBaggins - 7/31/2012, 5:23 AM
Nolan gives good trilogy.
CubanRaftRider - 7/31/2012, 5:23 AM
Batman Begins was the best Batman movie, TDK was the best overall movie, and TDKR was the number 1 letdown movie.
Batman27 - 7/31/2012, 5:26 AM
Best Comicbook Trilogy!
ralfinader - 7/31/2012, 5:26 AM
Another poll with less than 24 thousand voters...hmmm, how odd. Haven't seen TDKR, but from everything I have read and heard, BB would probably have been the one I voted on.
HellsHammer - 7/31/2012, 5:28 AM
I liked them all. Its crazy Batman has been apart of my entire life, First film i saw in theaters was Batman returns, when I started kindergarten Batman Forever came out, and when I graduated college TDKR came out.
LP4 - 7/31/2012, 5:30 AM
TDKR
MrLoki - 7/31/2012, 5:34 AM
Begins was my favorite, TDK was still great and TDKR was horrible, just horrible.
marvel72 - 7/31/2012, 5:34 AM
@ Batman27

i agree but it hasn't got much competition at the moment.

-blade trilogy
-spider-man trilogy
-x-men trilogy

-iron man trilogy(2013,we'll have trilogy)

not sure if i've missed any, some have four like superman quadrilogy.
Sabconth - 7/31/2012, 5:35 AM
The great thing is that no matter which of the 3 is your favorite, it's totally understandable given how great they all are.
Linta - 7/31/2012, 5:35 AM
Batman Begins is the winner for me.
redskull666 - 7/31/2012, 5:36 AM
Its a great trilogy. I want a #4 tho. Christian Bale is great as Bruce/Batman
HellsHammer - 7/31/2012, 5:36 AM
Costume in Batman Begins was hands down the best Batman costume we have ever seen on the big screen
BenderDickCumPatch - 7/31/2012, 5:38 AM
I like this one:

TheDetectiveComicRises - 7/31/2012, 5:40 AM
Hard for me to say I love all three but that's when U know a person has made a great trilogy when it is great debate about which is better among the masses :)
MoonDoggyX - 7/31/2012, 5:48 AM
Begins barely edges out rises for me... Tdk is last for me...
Batman27 - 7/31/2012, 5:56 AM
@Marvel 72- Iron-Man 3 is going to have to be really damn good maybe even better than the original to challenge this trilogy. Just my opinion.
BANEEE - 7/31/2012, 5:56 AM
You know I saw the movies after each other.. and at first The Dark knight was my fav.. but put out heath's performance and its a pretty mediocre film. and Frankly batman begins is A better Movie overal than the Dark knight.. but I voted The Dark Knight Rises.. because.. the overall style story and Bad guy is just my kind of thing.. I really love Bane.. for me it's as good as the Joker..

People compare The joker to bane.. it's like comparing Soccer to basketball.. they are totally different in handling situations and planning their attacks.. and The joker is everyone's fav Villain so its really hard to be equally handled.. Look if Nolan chose Hte Riddler than we have A character we could compare and say well that one is the better one.. but what Nolan and tom did with bane is incredible.. because bane always wears A mask .. so its hard to show emotions through it.. but Hardy pulled it off!..

THE Dark Knight Rises is the Best out of three for me.. but batman begins and TDK are on the same line..

NeoBaggins - 7/31/2012, 6:02 AM
TDK and TDKR are like two parts of one story. Like what they did with Reloaded and Revolutions but not as quickly released together. Speaking of which, I just heard one of the Watchoski brothers had a sex change.
MrReese - 7/31/2012, 6:04 AM
Great Trilogy indeed XD
marvel72 - 7/31/2012, 6:06 AM
@ NeoBaggins

are the watchoski brothers gonna be know as the watchoski brother & sister now.
BenderDickCumPatch - 7/31/2012, 6:06 AM
People here need this and some weed:

Luminescent - 7/31/2012, 6:07 AM
@TheGoddamnDeadpool: That picture scares me :'(
comics2film - 7/31/2012, 6:09 AM
The Dark Knight absolute masterpiece. I can watch that movie over and over. then begins and can't remember the last ones name.
Rong - 7/31/2012, 6:10 AM
Obvious win. Heath made the movie especially special for me.
NeoBaggins - 7/31/2012, 6:14 AM
@marv Yeah, the name doesn't have that ring to it now.

The Dark Knight Trilogy is pretty tight and cohesive now that it's gone full circle back to the Leagur of Shadows. The BB link to TDK was a little thin with only Rachael who was recast and a mention of Joker at the end. Gotham looks pretty different in TDK. But TDK and TDKR has a good bridge with the Dent back story and the whole LOS plotline brings BB in closer to TDK and TDKR. It's a tight [frick]in trilogy.
opencurtain - 7/31/2012, 6:17 AM
Is it worth seen ,I heard it's too long and a bit boring .
SigmaCenturion - 7/31/2012, 6:22 AM
Yeah I won't miss these polls getting thrown off by nolanites XD TDK had a lot of plot holes that made the movie fall apart for me. I like Batman Begins best out of the two I saw. Going later today to see TDKR.
deanwilkins - 7/31/2012, 6:24 AM
Rises doesn't even come close to Dark Knight.
jaewest215 - 7/31/2012, 6:26 AM
This type of success with a trilogy will NEVER happen again UNLESS The Avengers do something. We have yet to see with that. BB made EVERYONE step there game up.
AlexDeLarge87 - 7/31/2012, 6:28 AM
Begins.

Why?

Gave us two new villains who havent been in the big screen. And focused on Batman´s early years which we havent seen on the big screen.
AlexDeLarge87 - 7/31/2012, 6:30 AM
Begins also had the best city. Dark and dirty like the Gotham i know.
TheAskaniSon - 7/31/2012, 6:30 AM
I voted The Dark Knight because while the fact that Heath Ledger was the perfect joker, the movie overall was just a perfect film aside from the lack of two-face in my opinion. I think that the Dark Knight is obviously the best story told, with the Dark Knight Rises coming in a close second because if Ledger had not been so perfect as joker than Bane would have been my favorite villain from the trilogy.
Nomis1800 - 7/31/2012, 6:33 AM
TDKR is my favorite.
jimoakley666 - 7/31/2012, 6:35 AM
I honestly thought more people would have gone for TDK.
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 7/31/2012, 6:37 AM
A great trilogy. BB was probably the closest to the comic book Batman that Nolan gave us in the trilogy. I enjoyed them all for different elements in each film.
danird - 7/31/2012, 6:43 AM
Batman & Robin (1997) is the best !

a better Bane (not talking too much).
LMB10 - 7/31/2012, 6:46 AM
Batman Begins > The Dark Knight > The Dark Knight Rises
DDD - 7/31/2012, 6:47 AM
BEGINS just was a total satisfying BATMAN MOVIE!
A wonderful origins story!
BEST CBM ORIGINS STORY EVER!
Way better than SPIDERMAN 1!

Then TDK, NOLAN started going away from comics!

TDKR, NOLAN went off the rail from the comics!
And it's got plot holes you can drive the tumbler
through!
Ya know, where was CATWOMAN? Oh, it was that woman
in the skin-tight suit!
Uh, I thought CATWOMAN was a cat burgler, why would
a cat burgler tell people her real name?
That's why SELENA has a cover-name! So no one
will know her identity! Doh!

TDK was amazing movie-making, though!
BEST bad guy of the series! But it wasn't REALLY the JOKER!

JACK NICHOLSON was the JOKER but BURTON
should have thrown out all the camp!
hope420 - 7/31/2012, 7:18 AM
Batman,Batman,Batman that's all that's on here anymore. Not complaining but some of these stories seem forced just to keep Bats in the news.
MisterFixit - 7/31/2012, 7:41 AM
who voted TDK and TDKR is more interested in villains. I go with Bats, so BB
MisterFixit - 7/31/2012, 7:44 AM
@hope i agree:-) next week we'll have the pool "which supporting actor do you prefer?" and so on..
fattieacid - 7/31/2012, 8:13 AM
The Dark Knight was the worst of all of them, BUT obviously it was a fantastic Movie. It was overrated because of Heath untimely death, he did an amazing job but when I watch the movie, I don't feel it as great as Begins.
These are my ratings of the 3 movies and order of which I like better

The Dark Knight Rises: 98/100
Batman Begins: 97/100
The Dark Knight: 95/100
Over All: 96.66%
Hence The Greatest Trilogy EVER!
PapaMidnight - 7/31/2012, 8:20 AM
Awesome trilogy! Begins is more "tight" IMO. @Intruder, good point! Nolan's car chases were inspired by Friedkin's "French Connection", that's why they're so good.
AustinFan4Life - 7/31/2012, 8:32 AM
@DDD Jack Nicholson's protrayal was good at the time the film was made, but no offense. I just kind feel like Heatg Ledger's performance & even look as more in line with being The Joker. Sure Jack's Joker was more in line with the source material of being of a permawhite, but the performance itself to me felt just more like Jack, from the look to his actions of just playing himself, that vaguely resembled The Joker. It just felt like he brought his character from The Shining back & only died his hair green & painting hia face white

With Heath's Joker...that was The Joker, not just lookong or acting like himself, but trying to resemble The Joker, putting aside his Joker not being a permawhite, everything about Ledger's Joker was the Joker. Not once did I look at him playing character & think he needed to keep his own personality out of the character & be more Joker like, like I did when I first saw Batman 89, Nicholson's protrayal. To me, thats what makes the stronger performance is less of you & more of the character, which is what Ledger did. I respect that you feel that Nicholson was The Joker, but to me he was just playing himself trying to play The Joker, whereas Ledger was the character completely from the ground up, from the look to his actions, words & mannerisms was The Joker.
Talontd - 7/31/2012, 8:49 AM
1. TDK
2. Begins
3. TDKR
gepeto - 7/31/2012, 9:37 AM
who ever goes with TDKR dont really care about the batman mythos...8 year gap... hes a cripple....he was batman for 8 months even though he trained as a ninja for 7 years....rachel was with harvey so thats a good reason to become a leparr....the clean slate device...back broken then smashed in the pit twice and with a caine...best line from the film was anyone can be batman this means the copycats of batman in TDK were good and should of been respected...bomb goes off in 5 months... for these reaons i chose TDK but BB is still a classic.....
