Unfortunately, I didn't have time to post my top five choices for The Flash, but the response to the casting suggestions for Aquaman and Wonder Woman were extremely enthusiastic nonetheless! As you can see, the results for Aquaman were all very, very close. However, it was Josh Holloway (Lost) who just came out on top with less than 100 votes separating him and Sam Worthington (Avatar). As for Wonder Woman, there were two clear favourites, although it's sure to come as a surprise to some to see Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia) beat Gina Carano (Haywire). Some of you liked the choices presented, while many of you had your own great casting suggestions. Here are the full results from the two polls included in each of the respective features. Check them out below, and be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

No no no!
comiccow6 - 8/14/2012, 6:45 AM
Holy crap, Sam Worthington was close. No. Just no.
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 8/14/2012, 6:50 AM
Sorry, it should be Gina Carano or Brigette Regan for WW. Holloway would be ok as Aquaman.
EarOne - 8/14/2012, 6:53 AM
Gemma...???!!! naaaahhh...she's hot and all, but too pale white and sad looking. WW needs to be tanned (not really a problem, i would guess) and a bit on the bright side.
LMFA0 - 8/14/2012, 6:53 AM
Armie Hammer
ralfinader - 8/14/2012, 6:55 AM
Hopefully WB has better options than we did when it comes to casting these charactors, lol.
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 6:55 AM
Gemma Arterton beat Gina Carano?! Who the [frick] in their right mind would vote for Arterton over Carano. I tell you what: Let's have them fight over who gets the role.
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 6:56 AM
@Ralfinader: They only need one: Carano.
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 6:56 AM
The answer to who should play Aquaman: Nobody.
RedNTheHood - 8/14/2012, 6:58 AM
These people would suck as Aquaman and wonder woman.
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 7:00 AM
@RedHood13: Incorrect. Carano is perfect for Wonder Woman. Have you seen Haywire?
DrRockso - 8/14/2012, 7:00 AM
@SupermanFan Simon Baker is a perfect choice
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 7:01 AM
The only person I can think of outside of Carano is Tanit Phoenix.
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 7:02 AM
Can someone explain the appeal of an Aquaman movie to me?
Angelus - 8/14/2012, 7:05 AM
I do not agree with any of the results but I am also very unsure who could play these icons of icons.
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 7:07 AM
@Angelus: Carano or Tanit Phoenix.

Seriously. Can someone explain why we would want a Aquaman movie. Are there any fantastic Aquaman runs I should check out? Admittedly, I haven't checked it out in years, but he seems to be popular only as a joke for how lame he is. I mean, I have an Aquaman t-shirt, and it is very ironic.
Tainted87 - 8/14/2012, 7:09 AM
Janina Gavankar for Diana...
ralfinader - 8/14/2012, 7:10 AM
@Godzillafart - Yeah, of all the charactors, Aquaman is the one I am least excited to see on the big or small screen. DC has so many better charactors than Orin or Arthur or whoever is Aquaman this decade. We can blame Entourage for this.
RunDTC - 8/14/2012, 7:12 AM
Sam Worthington got the second most votes? smh....
Hexagram - 8/14/2012, 7:13 AM
That picture. I can't help but visualize Owen Wilson's face over Josh Holloway's in the pic above. Owen Wilson as Aquaman! :D Kidding, but Jack Black was going to be GL at one point sooo.., Stiller as Superman, Vaughn as Batman & Jonah Hill as the Flash? Thankfully this is never happening.

RustyShackelford - 8/14/2012, 7:14 AM
Liam Hemsworth for Aquaman or Channing Tatum. Ryan Gosling for Batman
PaulRom - 8/14/2012, 7:14 AM
Gina Carano, Gemma Arterton, Olivia Wilde or Jaimie Alexander for Wonder Woman. Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Gosling or Josh Holloway for Aquaman.
Angelus - 8/14/2012, 7:15 AM
@Godzillafart - Tanit Phoenix would actually be a decent fit. Gina Carano can at least do really decent fight scenes.
Tainted87 - 8/14/2012, 7:16 AM
DocBantam - 8/14/2012, 7:20 AM
Wow, who - like - cares?
These are two of THE lamest characters in comic books - and i don't care if Wonder woman is listed at number 5 by IGN in the top 100 best comic book characters ever!! Its surely no coincidence that Wonder woman has only merited a truly awful (yeah and I liked Lynda Carter as much as the next bloke!) TV series, she's a highly unlikely character for the big screen!!
So is Aquaman, a truly awful product from DC who to my way of thinking is like a poor-mans Sub Mariner.
I really think that Justice League could end up as laughable as Green Lantern. Stick to Supes and Batman DC as quite honestly these characters don't mesh well - It will take a brave or foolhardy director to put his name down on this one, mark my words
Timerider84 - 8/14/2012, 7:22 AM
Bridget Regan for Wonder Woman. There's very little appeal for Aquaman, but if James Cameron came and said he wanted to do it, everyone would be excited, it's all about script, story, and the right actor for that story. Jim is great with that.
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 7:22 AM
@Angelus: Yeah, I will admit that Carano would have to beef up her acting chops, BUT she was good (not great) in Haywire (great in the fights) and that was her first acting outing! I think she could do it.

People suggest a lot of hot women for WW, but WW has to be hot in a particular way and be able to project Badass in a way that can stare down any man in the DC universe. Most of the woman suggested can't pull that off, but Carano or Phoenix could do it.
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 7:24 AM
@Ralfinader: Yeah. I'm not saying they couldn't make a good AM movie, I'm just saying that he is a VERY hard sell to the general public, and even a large slice of the CBM audience. Why take a chance with him when the DC cinematic universe is on shaky ground?
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 7:25 AM
@DocBantam: I agree about AM, but I think WW, done right, could be a fantastic, badass show. She really is DC's Thor.
JeffG - 8/14/2012, 7:27 AM
I'm no troll but I can't think of a worse JLA character than Aquaman.
Gunjin - 8/14/2012, 7:28 AM
Josh should be Gambit, nuff said.
FlannelGuy26 - 8/14/2012, 7:29 AM
Scott Speedman as Barry Allen/Flash. Looks the part. Sounds the part.
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 7:31 AM
I think DC needs to focus on the big three. Superman, WW and the Batman reboot all in a shared universe.
FlannelGuy26 - 8/14/2012, 7:34 AM
@Godzillafart I agree to an extent. I think DC needs to forget doing Justice League. Marvel beat them to it..and imo, did it flawlessly. So kudos to them.

DC should focus on something smaller. Like a Batman/Superman (or vise versa to you diehards). That would be a better movie for the time being. Having your two heavy hitters in one flick. And if Batman and Superman sharing the screen works...you work that into Justice League.
karloshuddos - 8/14/2012, 7:35 AM
Charlie Hunnam, As this version of Aquaman.

@Froggy: Hmmm. Seems to me the bad guys would win that fight.
JatevinM - 8/14/2012, 7:36 AM
Lucy Lawless is and will always be my choice for Wonder Woman and before anyone says she is too old let me point to Robert Downey Jr. If a 47 year old RDJ can play a young, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist who parades around it an iron suit then a 44 year old Lucy Lawless could easily play the Amazon princess
FlannelGuy26 - 8/14/2012, 7:37 AM
The only real characters who deserve their own flicks are Supes, Bats, Wonder Woman...and well..Green Lantern...the other characters don't warrant a movie. Aquaman the movie would just be making it for the sake of it.

I would love to see Flash, but I feel they make these super hero flicks in hopes for a franchise and trilogy, and I am not so sure Flash could pull that off...THOUGH, working Flash into a Back to the Future esque trilogy could be cool.

Am I in the wrong thread?
DocBantam - 8/14/2012, 7:38 AM
I look forward to seeing the other characters in Aquamans universe - beginning with Aqualad, Aquababy and of course King Shark....!
Good grief! THAT should seriously put DC out of business.
Why are we talking about all these lame heroes when there is STILL no Doc Savage picture on the table, a great shame....!
GodzillaKart - 8/14/2012, 7:38 AM
@JatevinM: No way! Tony Stark is supposed to be middle aged. WW is supposed to be perpetually young. On top of that, Lawless couldn't have done it in her prime. Too little sex appeal and no acting ability.

IMO
